Station is a little bar that's pretty easy to miss, across from the Convention Center with parking out back. It's got an urban vibe, complete with a huge graffiti piece on one of the walls and sleek black benches and bar stools. It's got a lot of different events going on any given night of the week from live music to comedy, even my friend's poetry roast and book signing one night. Drinks are  fairly priced and they always have something on special when there's not a happy hour. I still need to check out their free karaoke/happy hour. Overall, it's a great intimate spot to unwind and have a few with friends.
Review Source:Station is a cozy and intimate bar/lounge located on Kapiolani across from the Convention Center and 7Eleven. Â Parking is a bit of a struggle, but my new strategy has been to get a street stall up the street, around Don Quijote - it's been pretty easy.
The bartenders are extremely friendly and typically have my drink ready for me before I even ask for it! Â The drinks are CHEAP! Â I'm a tequila person, and I'm always hard pressed to find a bar with more than Cuervo and Patron; with that said, there's a large selection of liquor (including tequila), and Station always brings in new beers to try out!
Having been a part of the Honolulu music scene for some time, every night I come to Station is like a reunion. Â The owners and operators have done a really great job garnering a community of musicians while instilling that "MY bar" feel to both new patrons and existing Honolulu art/music scene-members.
The default house music selection may not appeal to everyone, but if you give yourself over to the warm hospitality and the comfy/loungy couches, and acknowledge the bar's fun, twisted humor and nuanced characteristics, Station Bar & Lounge could be "YOUR bar" too.
