For a Subway. I mean what are you expecting? The place is clean, the service is fast and friendly especially during rush hour. I ordered the falafel chop salad (my new staple at Subway) and they didn't have any thawed. I waited maybe an extra 5 minutes and he gave it to me at a discounted price. Nice!
Review Source:As a former supervisor for a subway in the suburbs, this has to be the worst customer service ever. I've been here 3 times, first it's was chill.
Second I wanted to buy  20 gift cards for my employees for a company I was working for as a holiday gift, they refused because it was an outrageous amount (um my store sold 50 to one customer no problem).
The third time was just ridiculous, I wasn't allowed to toast my veggies because its not part of the formula... What formula? It's formula on what you put on the sandwich yes but how you toast it? No
Retoasting has nothing to do with it. And they have the same employees and it seems like only one person is working.
Restaurant Update:
5 dollar foot long continues to be a great lunch item. Service is quick even with the line during lunch hour and the manager to quite friendly when you are checking out. Healthy, quick, and inexpensive lunch option
Hidden deal: On the bottom of the receipt make sure you do the quick phone survey to get a free cookie. You can do it each time. Monthly 5 dollar footlong deal, check the website!
I love Subway, but, boy this one has really terrible customer service. I've been to this Subway twice and both times the same employees working there have been in the most fowl mood. I smiled and asked the woman behind the counter how she was doing. Her response was "Whatchu want?" No eye contact. Sad.
The second time I visited, the same people were working. I approached them the same way, with a smile. I did not get the same in return. One woman asked me if I wanted my sandwich toasted. I said no. The other woman who just made most of my sandwich said "yes he does". I politely said "No, that's ok. Not toasted please." There was a bit of back and forth on this and finally she said "Whatever." I apologized to her and told her I hope I didn't upset her. She walked away.
Working downtown, there are a lot of lunch options. I really do like going to Subway and it sucks I can't settle on one. There is another one on the 8th floor of the Chicago Place Mall on Michigan and Huron. This one is just as bad, if not worse. Oh Subway...
