The place is now called Tacos A la Diabla.

So far I tried their tacos, nachos, guacamole, and salsas.

Tacos are pretty good - especially the Al Pastor variety with delicious marinated pork.
I'm not a big fan of their salsa - it is spicy, but has a REALLY salty taste to it.
Their guacamole is pretty good, with a little spice to it.

Overall, it's pretty good food stand with authentic food and some options to gringorize it with dishes like Nachos, or flour tortillas :). I'm just not a fan of how some of the items taste, but I do appreciate that they're different!

Service is quick and friendly, credit cards are accepted, and hours are excellent.

Couple benches are available if sitting next to a busy street is your thing, but it's mostly a takeout place.

Definitely my go to spot for a quick taco fix!

P.S. The address from Yelp may result in incorrect directions. The location is on the South Side of Washington street, right West of Post Rd. It's in the Liberty Carpet/Fireworks Place parking lot.

Great little food truck for sure. I've been twice now and both times were amazing. It reminds me of the taquerias I would go to in little Mexico whenever I would visit Chicago. Very simple street tacos are always a hit with me. Their meet is well prepared and flavored. Top it with some cilantro and onion and its heaven for me. They serve it with two types of salsa. One is red and pretty spicy, but had an amazing flavor. The green one is super fresh but not spicy at all. I usually use a little of both. Well worth a visit to the liberty bell parking lot.

I don't care if it's a 25 minute drive. I don't care if it has no ambiance or bathrooms. I don't care if I have to stand out in the rain, the cold, the heat or the snow. I don't care that some other taquerias may have fancy names, sauces & ingredients. I just don't care because the tacos here at Tacos Al Carbon, a little trailer in the parking lot of Liberty Bell Parking Lot on the corner of Washington Street & Post Road on the East side are JUST THAT GOOD! Period!! With all the food truck craze lately especially from the beginning with the West Coat Taco guys, this little diamond plate gem stands out in a crowd. First off it is completely immaculate, which is more than I can say about a lot of food trucks or trailers. This is a huge plus for me. The taco's are truly delicious and authentic. I have tried them all ( except Lengua, I'm not big on tongue). They re all exceptional to me especially the pork varieties. My favorite as of late has to be the La Diabla Al Pastor. Flavorful as a wonderful Tacor Pastor should be, moist and fresh and a nice bite with the Diabla sauce. If I close my eyes, lay on a chaise lounge, felt some sand between my toes, a margarita in my hand and the sound of crashing waves, I would think I was in mexico! Too bad most of the sand is dirt and the only boom and crash here is the occasional "Car that goes BOOM" I must say I'm anxious to try the Tortas but I just can't help myself from eating the tacos.
