I like it, I'm a fan. Friendly bartender pointed me to the [beer] specials of the day. Place was a bit warm, but not unbearable. The beers were also warm (not ice cold), at least all the ones I tried, and I tried at least 7 different ones. I'll definitely be back, hopefully beers will be colder.
Review Source:A great place for lunch or dinner, with several amazing beer options, a good food selection, and fun atmosphere. It can get noisy, but all-in-all, not bad. It can be a challenge to seat a large group here, so don't go with more than 6 or 7 of your BFFs.
Vegan and vegetarian options available.
I've been actively on the prowl looking for a good place that serves or offers a good selection of craft/microbrews in Hampton Roads and the general feel is that the local area isn't quite up to speed on the craft-beer boom. So far this place has been pretty good.
So upon walking in I decided to Live Dangerously, by ordering their strongest and most expensive 12oz. bottle right off the bat. "Dogfish Head World Wide Stout" at 18%ABV and $16 a pop. AMAZING beer, good thing I had just one as any more would've put me over the top.LoL. They do have a fairly nice selection of both draft and bottles, which is a good thing coming from a Hop-head!
**Overall I will defiantly be coming back. The only bad things are they need dress up the place; remove the arcade games (its not the 80's)and bathrooms could look nicer. I don't exactly like nats/flies buzzing all over when I'm crapping if you know what I mean. Also beware of the location as Ghent is a rough part of town. Cheers!
Very relaxing atmosphere and huge draft beer selection!
Wait staff is friendly and interesting but table service isn't terribly good. The hummus was way too salty in my opinion. Although, I have only dined from the late night menu!
Great place to drink with your friends, but not so great to grab a quick bite.
i'll echo many of the same sentiments already expressed here: excellent and thoughtful beer selection - i was happily surprised when i found a couple gems i had not seen in LA in the previous 4 years. the food was standard fare, a decent turkey and bacon wrap that's nothing to write home about, but will get the job done when you get the munchies after your third beer. staff was friendly and helpful. will have to return to sample more of their selection. will update as appropriate.
Review Source:Come here for beer and music, but not for the food. Tap House is a local favorite. They have a ton of beer on tap, and a long list of bottles as well. The beer is priced good and the service at the tables is friendly and consistently good. They also have local music many days of the week. The bar is kind of divey, and they have a nice patio. I honestly like the inside better though; there isn't much to look at across 21st st on that side of Colley and you don't have to smell the smoke.
I personally haven't enjoyed the food very much anytime I've eaten there, which honestly hasn't been that often. Last time I went, I ended up eating 1/4 of my meal and filled up on pizza at Cogan's later in the night.
I really want to give this place two separate reviews and ratings. Â One for the food and one for the drinks. Â Since I can't do that I will just split the difference and give it 3 stars.
We'll start with the good side, the drinks and the atmosphere. Â They had a very large selection of beer and it was really cheap. Â Generally around $4.5 for the good beers (Stone IPA and the like). Â The crappier beers were around $3 and I think less for PBR. Â I was trying to sample things I'd not seen anywhere else so I didn't go for the absolute cheapest beer. Â The bar is extremely divey. Â There's a pool table and other games off in one room. Â Open seating and the bar in another. Â The waiter was very attentive and when we went outside (a couple people in the group are smokers) he didn't have any problem moving our tab out there. Â They also seem to have a lot of live music on the weekends. Â There was a guy playing the guitar in a too small sailor outfit which looked like it was stolen from the Village People. Â If my experience was just limited to this I would definitely have given the place 4 stars....
However I was unfortunate enough to be hungry and want some dinner. Â I got the fish tacos. Â They were terrible. Â The fish was supposedly blacked but didn't look or taste like it had any seasoning on it. Â The rest of the taco consisted of shredded carrots and lettuce or cabbage with no sauce. Â So it was just a dry, flavorless taco. Â The tots weren't bad. Â They came with a sriracha ketchup that I really enjoyed but the rest of the group didn't. Â They thought it tasted too much like just sriracha. Â For the food I would give it 2 stars.
To sum up, come for the drinks but make sure you've had something to eat first.
Highly recommend this place!
Holy crap, how have I not reviewed Tap House yet? Â This place is fantastic. Â They have one of the better tap selections in the Norfolk area. Â They carry enough variety to keep your taste buds enticed all evening (or at least until they stop functioning).
I have not tried their food (or at least don't remember trying their food), so I can't give it a 5 star review based on principle--but I'll be sure to get something next time I go here so I can solidify this review.
Oh, and be sure to come here one one of the nights they have a live band playing. Â It's a blast.
I was introduced recently to the Tap House as a way more affordable alternative the the Birch for a good beer selection (not to say that I don't love the birch). Â The selection of beer reflects that someone decided to choose quality over quantity. Â They don't have the largest selection of beer in Ghent, but it is full of GOOD choices that are very well priced. Â
As far as food goes, it's a little pricier than some of the competition in the area, but everything I've had has been amazing!
I really don't like rating a bar or restaurant without eating there first. However, having already eaten lunch earlier, we rode over to Tap House with the intention of checking out their beer selections. Â Mission accomplished! Â Plenty of great choices on tap and I decided on a Left Hand Milk Stout while my lady went with one of her favorites, Founder's Dirty Bastard. Based on draft selections, I'm going with 4 stars "drink rating." Limited bias, I know.
Based on the very open structure of the interior, we were trying to figure out what this place was before the Tap House opened here. Not sure, but there were plenty of tables, both inside and out on the deck, although there were the few people there during our visit. Granted, it was mid-afternoon on a Sunday, not the most lively time of the week, but at least we had personal service from the bartender.
We could easily see ourselves staying here for more than one drink, but we were behaving this day. Instead, we played some Addam's Family pinball in the game room and jumped back on our bikes, on to our next stop.
I would not come here again. Â It wasn't awful but there are better places to go (Cogans). Â The food was okay. Â We ordered the corned beef and cabbage which was alright, and the baguette style bread, which I thought was tasteless.
Of course the beer selection was good. Â Can't complaint when they've got two types of Guinness to choose from. Ha.
The service was good. Â Our waitress constantly checked up on us and made suggestions when we asked for random drinks.
The place was empty.. Looked like a place only regular would come to. Â Pretty boring for St Pattys day night... Though I guess if I was looking for a great night, I could have gone to an Irish pub.
Eh.
Calling out Xerxes on this one. You don't come to a place like the Taphouse and then complain that there's no "factory" beer. As already mentioned by another local the Taphouse is an institution in Hampton Roads. While you may not like the fact that you have to pay a cover when they have a band or that the beer's aren't Miller Lite, Budweiser and Coors you may want to consider sticking to the ocean front if your level of culture is what you're used to seeing on 'The Block" in Va Beach.
Review Source:When I read Xeres review I just had to write my own.
The fact that you come out and say you prefer "Bud Light, Michelob Ultra, and Coors Light." in a 1-star review on the Taphouse is just shameful. Â It's like reviewing Taco Bell when you don't like tacos.
The Taphouse is an institution in Norfolk. Â Yes the table service sucks sometimes and the place can be loud and even a little grungy. Â Though it seems like every time I go in lately something is new or renovated. Â The burgers here are incredible, I swear they must have a charcoal grill out back. Â The tuna sandwich/wrap/burrito are great as well. Â The beer selection is extensive with mostly american micro brews and at reasonable prices (unlike some other beer bars in town). Â
The menu also clearly states "Whats a Few Dollars Between Friends" or something along those lines. Â In my experience you can also just tell the waitress "$10 on this card and the rest on this card". Â Not really a big deal IMO.
Not often will I give a not so good, or bad, review, but I was rather displeased with my experience last night at the Tap House Grill at Ghent. Â My girlfriend and I arrived at the restaurant just shy of 9pm and it was quite obvious a band would be performing later that evening. Â Knowing this I immediately looked for a seat as far from the stage as possible with the hopes of carrying a conversation without having to scream at the top of my lungs. Â
My assumption is that the people there were regulars and overall were having a good time. Â Me on the other hand...
- Â It was rather cold inside the restaurant and the fans were running so I never took off my jacket. Â Others in the restaurant, too, sat around wearing their jackets. Â I just never felt comfortable to relax and enjoy the beer in front of me.
- Â Our friends arrived after 9pm and they were charged $5 per person just to get into the restaurant. Â If I was going there for dinner and was told I had to pay $5 just to get through the door...pff, off to next place. Â Must be a regular thing there I suppose.
-  When the band started playing  it was difficult to talk to the person next to me let alone others in my group who were only three feet away.  Nothing irritates me more than having to yell or be yelled at just to have a conversation.  I get that the place, so I hear, is one of a music/band venue, so perhaps I should have expected this,
We were all cold, my friends weren't thrilled about the $5 cover and it was awkward sitting there pretending to listen to others talk so we asked to settle our bills so we can move on to a more comfortable hangout for the evening.
To top things off our waitress gave us one ticket and outlined the three different groups in our party as A, B and C. Â Okay, so I wasn't keen on the idea of having to pass cash around and a check card and having to explain who was paying with what. Â When the waitress got confused over everything I pretty much lost it --- I was over the place and was ready to go. Â
Once you get to know me you will find that I stick to just a few beers: Bud Light, Michelob Ultra, and Coors Light. Â Trying different beers isn't my thing.
For others who aren't like me I will tell you this, the Tap House Grill has an extensive beer list and if you are a beer connoisseur this is a place that you should consider visiting.  Give it a shot if you so choose to.  As for me, let's just say that next time I'll  buy a six pack and call it a Red Box night.
Fun place with friends. Â Patio has nice wooden benches for people like me who like to take up a lot of space. Â Too bad no heaters the night I went...it's getting a little nippy! Â Props to the server who first asked if wanted to order food or just hang out for awhile. Â Love, love servers with this attitude!
I took away a star because of the mediocre food. Â Personally, I've never really had bad fish and chips until tonight. Â The fish was overly fried and the tartar sauce had too much of a mayo consistency (I like it chunky) and not much flavor. Â Awful cole slaw. Â Plus, I don't like how they line a square of wax paper on your plate...as if I need to be reminded that I'm eating nothing but grease. Â
Pool tables were awesome. Â Only one dolla!
Taphouse is one of those Ghent places that I want to like, so I keep going back, only to be disappointed.
The beer: The selection is fan-freaking-tastic, if overpriced. That's the redeeming quality, and the only thing to go there for. It's what saved this from being a one-star review.
The entertainment: Taphouse really wants to be a music venue. Despite its small size and horrible acoustics, it keeps hosting bands. Some of these bands may be talented, but you'd never know it. Everything sounds bad here.
The food: On a good day, it's meh. On a bad day, it's awful. First rule: Do not order from the late-night menu. My boyfriend and I have on a couple of occasions and are always dismayed. The chickette is dry and flavorless, if you go the vegetarian route. Even the tomato-basil melt lacks flavor, and that's hard to do if you use the right ingredients. I recently ordered the crab dip there. It's $10 and an impossibly small portion, especially compared to other, better versions at nearby restaurants (think Shucks, for example.) The real insult, though, is that the late-night version doesn't come with house grilled garlic bread, as indicated on the menu. Instead, you get those artificially colored, overly salty round tortilla chips, the kind that come with stadium nachos. Yuck.
The brunch: Around here, everyone and their mother offers a brunch and drink specials Sunday mornings. This is among the lesser options. They advertise a bloody mary special for a buck, and that is a great deal; however, the drink is pretty watery. For $2.5, you can go down the way to Tortilla West and have an am.az.ing Bloody bar instead. The food is just OK. The french toast was pretty good, but I was told when I asked for recommendations that the kitchen doesn't like making it. That doesn't exactly make me wanna order it!
The service: One star. The bartenders have never been friendly, in the years I've been going to Taphouse. They have that hipster, Ghent, removed, you're-lucky-to-be-here attitude. They'll tell you about the beer but only if you ask and ask and practically beg. Unfortunately this is the kind of place that really needs friendly and knowledgeable service to explain the extensive beer list. When I was unhappy with my crab dip, I told the bartender and was basically told "this is how it comes on the late night menu. Oh well for you." No substitutions offered, no apologies, nothing.
Of note: After my most recent bad experience, I posted to the Taphouse's facebook page and was immediately chastised by people affiliated with the Taphouse. I was told that I should have told the man working the door, whom I know, and he'd have fixed my problem. As a customer, I'm not really sure why I should walk over to the door to tell someone working there and taking cover charges about my unhappiness. I told my sever (in this case: my bartender) and that should be good enough.
I'm sure I will be back to Taphouse, for the beer mostly, and also because we just don't have that many choices in Ghent anymore. I can only hope it gets better with time.
I'd give the food two stars and the beer selection four stars. Â Average it out, and you get three overall. Â I love beer, so when we moved to Norfolk I looked online to find a restaurant with a large selection of beer on tap. Â I was very excited to go, and was duly impressed by the beer list. Â However, the food was very disappointing. Â Now my wife won't go back, so I can't even explore all their beers. Â
In sum, if you just want drinks, tap house is great. Â If you want food...not so much.
I went to the Tap House on a Wednesday night, which could possibly explain my experience, or lack there of.
I am unsure if the Tap House is currently undergoing renovations, however the evening that I visited it was freezing cold as one of the doors (which can not be used as an entrance) was half-way propped open with a piece of plywood.
I would say the only thing they had going for them that particular night was "Happy Hour."
To put it simply, my new home.
After moving here I was lost in a sea of bars, trying to find my home, and now I have found it. Â Pabst on tap for 2.50, I'm not a hipster just very dutch, and mixed drinks in a pint glass. Â Patio area outside to smoke, and I don't seem awkward going by myself. Â Nice old people to talk to, and food! Â Sure there are tons of beer, but this place is more than that. Â It feels like my old california bar, which I spent 2 years living in.
I heart you taphouse, as much as a bu bu pig hearts nom. Noms.
This place is definitely cool, especially for Norfolk. Based on the reviews and the general description of the place, I was really excited to check it out.
The reality of the Taphouse isn't as cool as the expectation, or at least my expectation. But it's still pretty cool. Seating is apparently every-man-for-himself, but even on a busy Friday night, we found a table.
The menu is interesting, and most of the items look tasty. I had a chicken wrap which was alleged to be infused with mango and habanero. The chicken that actually appeared in my wrap could have been a microwaved Tyson chicken-finger. I detected neither mango nor habanero.
The beer selection was pretty impressive as the name of the place would suggest, though most were not in fact on "tap".
Service was good, as were the prices. The whole experience was just "okay", but I would definitely go back again for another try. The place is cool enough to warrant that.
You're not a hip Ghentile unless you frequent the Taphouse. I am not a hip Ghentile, but I do heart the Taphouse.
It's just an unpretentious (maybe that contradicts the "hip" part, but whatever) dive-y bar and pub. Dark and dingey in that rock club kind of way. Pool tables and a jukebox in the back. Small stage in the other room. Outdoor patio to boot.
And their food is pretty damn good for bar food.
Lots and lots 'o bands play their. Great original, indie and local music schedule--blues, rockabilly, garage-y type stuff.
And of course, it's called the Taphouse for a reason. They have many, many beers on tap. It's a total locals joint. If you want to feel like a local, it's Taphouse all the way.
Break down of a typical Friday day out in Ghent:
Taphouse for breakfast
Cogan's for lunch possibility start drinking there because they also have a pretty good selection of beers.
Go to Granby to meet up with friends at Kelly's.
Go to the Wave
Then back to the Taphouse to drink Black Velvets and slam Southern Comforts like if we never left high school. We would pretty much stay at the Taphouse till it closed. Then we would proceed to Tortilla West for Seafood nachos and more beer because they stop serving at 4 am or 3 I think. I always remember it being the last call last call for my friends and me. Great place and if you stop by try the hummus its outstanding.
(+) Beer, great choices
(-) Cover at the door... who do they think they're kidding, this is Norfolk
(-) Pipes backed up made the whole place smell like S@!t, literally
(-) Musical performers were lacking
(-) Crowd looked like a hillbilly convention meets diabetes convention meets hipster convention, maybe that's what the smell was....
This is definitely a place where the locals love to hang out. There is a cozy little outside sitting area that becomes very popular on warm, summer nights.
They have tons of beers to choose from - lots of them are on tap. They also frequently have live music here. The service is good, the bartenders are very knowledgeable about the beers which is great since there are so many to choose from. I've had the food here a couple times and it's usually pretty good, but it's not out of this world spectacular. Go here for the beer, not the food.
The seating inside is a little odd and can sometimes be a bit cramped. There is a backroom with pool tables and a couple of arcade games.
I'm a little biased towards Tap House because it's where my other half and I had our first date, but there's a reason I had chosen it then as I do now. Tap House Grill at Ghent is just simply kick ass.
It could be considered a dive bar, but one distinctly suited to the neighborhood's tastes. There is a sizeable outdoor patio that is begging to be enjoyed on balmy summer nights and the atmosphere is effortless grit with a coat of black and red paint. The beer menu is far from puny and actually may weigh more than its food counterpart. The waiters are clever and can easily match you with the perfect beer, a rare find.
The menu is chock full of choices that pair perfectly with beer such as pizza and burgers. There are a heavy handful of vegan options, the most unusual being the BLT wrap.
All of this combined with amazing music, on some nights live, is just the perfect five star storm.
Since we had an early-morning flight back to Chicago, we had to find somewhere to relax and enjoy a beverage or two (and to feed my growling tummy). Tap House Grill served us well!
The beer selection covered two sides of a sheet; not only were there many delicious choices on tap, but there were quality bottles. Choices ranged from pale ales to Belgians to stouts - many options to appeal to different tastes.
My favourite part of the beer list was the suggested recipes - mixes of beers to provide an even more interesting experience. They paired a dark chocolate stout (I can't recall the brewery, but it wasn't Young's) with Lindemans Framboise (the raspberry lambic) for a delightful dessert-y drink called "Chocolate Truffle" or something along those lines. I'm a big fan of dark beer, and this provided me with something a little different but still within my preferred taste.
There were quite a few vegan and vegetarian options on the menu, including several faux meat sandwiches. The veggie chili (which my partner had) looked hearty and delicious. I had the vegan Rueben sandwich. It didn't quite taste like other faux Ruebens I've had. It was rather soggy from the sauerkraut and the sauce didn't resemble thousand-island dressing in my opinion. However, I am grateful that they accommodate veggie eating choices.
While some restaurants mark lacto-ovo-vegetarian items, menu items marked with "V" here are vegan! That was very helpful to me.
The atmosphere reminded me of an older bar - wood and metal accents. I wouldn't call it a dive bar though. Most of the patrons seemed to be in the younger crowd.
If you are an IPA guy/gal and travelling around the Norfolk area, then this is the spot. Typical dark, gritty dive bar atmosphere. I had the Turkey Reuben which was excellent.
IPA's on tap:
St. George - India Pale Ale
Avery - India Pale Ale
Heavy Seas - Loose Cannon (Hop3 Ale)
I had all three in order of hoppiness and that Loose Cannon definitely topped it all off. 5 stars for having the best IPA selection on tap in Norfolk.
I used to go the The Tap House pretty regularly, but I haven't been in a year or so. Â Their selection of beers is, without a doubt, the best in Hampton Roads. Â Their beer list also changes very frequently, so it is worth it to go back again and again. Â You can't be a beer lover in Hampton Roads and NOT have been to The Tap House, I'll put it that way.
The food is OK, typical bar fare.
The atmosphere is.. LOUD! Â You never know who's going to be performing there. Â Sometimes it's awesome, sometimes it's awful, but it's always entertaining in one way or another. Â If you want to have a quiet conversation, however, this is not the place you want to go!
There is a pool room, but I pretty much never go in it, so I can't comment on that.
Overall, The Tap House is a great place to get a few drinks, especially if you're in the mood for something new.
Ah, the Taphouse, a Ghent tradition. There's no doubt that they keep the best and most diverse beer selection in Hampton Roads. The Tapper has been my go-to spot for about five years now, and it rarely gets old. The bartenders and staff are friendly and local, the patrons are chill, and it's just an all out easy place to hang out.
I can speak very highly of the beer selection (hence, it being a Taphouse), but the food is a bit lacking. It's mostly bar food, and has grown even more so in the past few months. They've been saying that they are creating a new menu for awhile now, but for the time being, it's incredibly limited.
The entertainment is usually a good time. They do a fantastic job of booking local and regional talent. It's one of the best local music venues in the area. Plus, they have the absolute best jukebox music selection that I have ever seen! If you get the opportunity to head back to the pool tables, check out the tunes. Fantastic.
I've spent many a happy hour with friends and co-workers, or many late nights watching live music at this joint, and I love it. I'll miss it when I move to San Diego. :(
Go here and try something new. Â Seriously, with the variety of beers they've got on tap, it'd be a shame to sit there and drink nothing but the same stuff you buy by the case every weekend.
Even if you're not big on drinking, the food is always delicious and creative. Â They've got amazing specials that you wouldn't expect unless you take the time to go inside and appreciate the place.
As some have said, the music can be hit or miss. Â I'd say sit on the other side of the wall if you're eating so it's not blaring at you or anything. Â Outside seating isn't much of a view, but a great atmosphere and the only way to get fresh air if you're a non-smoker.
When I used to live in Norfolk, my friends loved Tap House. My ex used to push this place on me for dinner all the time and I'd always put it off. When he finally asked me why I was never eager to go, I couldn't really give him much of an answer, but I'll try to do a better job with this review.
The beer, for starters, is very good. Definitely a good place to sit and have a nice beer with some friends. Food is kind of so-so. They do have vegan and veg options, but everything I ate there was on the low side of acceptable. I used to get their BLT (or was it a club?) and the "mayo" that they used tasted pretty gritty and a little sour. The service is pretty crappy most of the time, but since this is such a laidback place I think they get away with it.
A lot of people come for the music, and since they seem to let almost anybody come and play there, it can also be touch and go. I definitely saw one of their more amazing acts: Reverend Peyton's Big Damn Band. If you've never seen hillbilly/rockabilly music before, try and catch this group. Once you've heard "Your Cousin's On Cops!", you'll be a fan for life.
My advice: come for the beer, stay for the show (sometimes), and eat the food if you must.
Great little dive bar with one hell of a beer selection. Music can be hit or miss, and it happened to be a miss when we came by, it was something between random noise and bad music. Can't go wrong with their beer selection though.
Fair warning I'm no fan of smoke and man the moment you walk in it's just like those hazy bars you see from 80's pop culture. Also, I did not eat any food. I'll be sure to do it next time I'm in town and update the review.
But again, great beer selection!
It's aiight. The band playing that night was pretty blah, their music hovering between sounding good and just straight up NOISE.
I don't like inhaling smoke, so I didn't appreciate how everybody and their mom was smoking. Then again, I'm coming from California, where an indoor-smoking ban is in place...totally biased there. ;)
I really want to go back and try their food, not just the beer, and will do an updated review when that happens.
This is the best place to grab beer in Norfolk...sit out on the patio on a mild summer night or check out a band.
They have a ever-changing selection of beers from around the world, with a focus on Belgians.
The menu varies but is stocked with pub-grub and some surprisingly good burgers. Â My favorite is the Chesapeake...a good char-burger topped with a crabmeat-based dip. Â They also have a few unique dishes like the Hillbilly Eggrolls...ham,gruyere, and black-eyed peas.
Fun place! Â I don't usually get to go out to the cool places in Norfolk, so I was really psyched to check this place out.
Excellent beer menu. Â The waitresses know their stuff, so ask for recommendations. Â Food menu looked good, but there's only a short menu available at night, so we had fries for our dinner.
The music was good and I even saw some people attempt dancing. Â The clientele is hip and make for good people watching.
Born and bred in this city but never made it to this bar until a couple years ago. I give it 5 stars for the excellent time I had that evening. Went with a few friends to see some band(s) I had never heard of and was very pleased with the beer selection and the atmosphere.
What really made the night was this band called Rooster Fist that played. It was kind of heavy rock, which I don't tend to be all that into, but add some beer, the hilarity of their costumes and the content of their songs and I was an instant fan. In a city not known for its output of original music, this place ROCKS.
Derek B's on the money, Taphouse should have more glowing reviews. Â I used to frequent this bar because they have one of the best draft and bottled beer selection in Hampton Roads. The food here is decent, but you come here to imbibe in adult beverages, hang out with friends and maybe munch on bar food. I highly recommend the rum raisin bread pudding, mmm... yummy.
One star for having Chimay on tap.
One star for having Aventinus on tap.
One star for having PBR on tap. lol
One star for having an awesome selection of beef.
One star for great bartenders and wait staff.
Norfolk must not be a big Yelping community yet, because this bar should have fists upon fistsful of awesome reviews.
Hours: 1600-0200.
The bar itself has two semi-separate rooms, both with red walls decorated by posters and flyers. One room is more of a dining area with a stage, the other room is basically the barroom proper. There is a small bar there with 8 stools or so and some tables and mingling room.
The service is good, attentive, and generally friendly.
The vegetarian food is good. Tasty hummus, a delicious tempeh BLT, and the faux fried chicken sandwich is good too. Â I also heard good things about the pizza.
The star of this place is the beer selection. They have taps from which flow pint-size servings of about thirty imported and craft beers. They also have about eighty bottled beers, with the same focus on quality. The bartenders are knowledgeable about the beers and not afraid to recommend or offer tastes.
My prediction is that I will return many times during my month-long stay in Norfolk.
