This place has gone downhill quickly. I used to come here a lot when they had a different karaoke host with some friends.I stopped in here recently and left almost as quickly as I got there. It's a shame this place is right around the corner from me. It would be a great spot if it hasn't fallen apart since the new owners took over a couple years ago.

This place is super divey, and not in a cool, kitschy way.
You can't tell by the reviews, Â but they turn over karaoke hosts pretty regularly. And for a bar that features singing several nights a week, it sucks that they have really lame mics and a pathetic sound system. No one sounds good. I was in a karaoke contest here many a moon ago and it was a disaster. The judges were all doing shots and just picked the last 3 people they saw (likely it was all they could remember). I left at that point, but was told a fight broke out after we left!
The bar staff is iffy with drink knowledge in our experience, and it's laughable that sometimes they run out of something and simply don't buy a new one. At a bar??
I would *completely* steer clear. If you sing there are much better options out there.
We have been to Thursday night Karaoke twice now and have had a blast both times. Great KJ, almost anything you can think of to sing, supportive crowd, and great drink prices. It definitely has the feel of a local bar, complete with the occasional drunk karaoke singer, but it lent more flavor than distaste. And the crowd is small enough you get to sing often. We will definitely be back!
