Teak Neighborhood Grill

The burger I had was absolutely incredible. It had tomato, avocado slaw, tortilla strips and a few other toppings and it was great! And trust me- I am a burger fanatic. However, I was very unhappy with my service. It was extremely slow and not attentive. We sat out on the patio and it was very loud and hard to hear the person right across from me. If it wasn't for the food being amazing I wouldn't go back.

Went to Teak last night after being out all day for the 4th.. Service, as usual, was awfully slow at the outside bar area. My friends and I (as have other recent yelpers, apparently) have noticed this trend the last 3 or 4 times we've been here. They forgot one of our apps, (which happened last time) and oddly brought out our additional side items that were supposed to accompany our burger first, followed by the burger 20 mins. later.. odd

The food was and is usually quite excellent, except for the spinach and bacon dip we tried for the first time last night. The description sounded so delicious, however, the dish itself was not. Tasted like frozen spinach.. Also, it kinda bothered me that they poured our cocktails and shots in SMALL plastic cups. For $8 a drink, you think you'd get a decent glass.  Even the $5 beer my friend got was in a glass? I don't care that much though..

Also, they have changed and chopped down their menu-even their glorious burger bar menu. For the burgers like the Germanator, Colombian, etc. that I would frequent this place for simply exists no more. They only have about 7-8 new burgers to choose from now, all of which are constructed way too fancy and gourmet, and really took an awful direction away from their once fun, diverse burger menu.  

We ordered some apps and a new burger, all of which were good for sure; unfortunately, it just isn't the same Teak we once new and will probably only come here for some apps and drinks to watch some event.. Bar tab bingo's always fun.

Four is a stretch but not a big one.

Had a burger, the special for that day and it was pretty good. The burger had smoked bacon, Gouda, and an onion relish. Best ever....no, but pretty good.

Beer is cheap (during happy hour) as well, which helps the overall experience.

Service was ok, but I wouldn't go back for the service....I would go back if I wanted a burger.

As good as this place was it did remind me how much I miss ROK:BRGR in FLL!!!
