    Good food, and amazing caipirinhas!
Their filet Mignon and their chicken are the best!

The buffet is nothing special in my opinion besides their smoked salmon that looks like it's homemade (but I don't know if it is), it's thick and different from the supermarkets ones that we normally see, it's very very good.

The service at the table could be a little faster in my humble opinion, since they (waiter) don't have to worry about taking food order they could be a little faster for drink order. our drinks were empty several times and he was no where to be seen.

Anyways, I liked my experience, but for Rodizio itself I personally prefer Chima.

JUST HORRIBLE SERVICE at $50 a head.Besides Drinks were about $10 dollars!

My partner and I celebrated our 33rd aniversary together at the Fort Lauderdale location on Sunrise Blvd this past Saturday 16th of February '2013.  We were seated in the back part of the restaurant which was fine. Our waiter, I believe named Isma or Isla was not attentive with us as was the waitress Lori who made us very welcomed. With the male waiter he did check on us once but after that he kind of disappeared until I got his attention to kindly bring us mashed potatoes. It never happened. When he appeared 8 to 10 minutes later I said I lost interest in the potatoes to kindly bring a small plate of fried bananas consisting of three.  That he did.  But it was Lori who gave us attention and made our dinner enjoyable. Salad bar was FABULICIOUS!  The meats began to taste all the same.  Is it because the seasonings on all the meats are also the same? The atmosphere is beautiful and the floral arrangement above the salad bar was incredible. We plan to return very soon and hopefully this time have the wonderful female waitress Lori serve us once again.

A great chain of restaurants. Have eaten at many of their locations and never been disappointed.
The salad bar was super fresh with all options.
Their meats were perfectly cooked, tender and ver flavor some.
This location was every bit as good as the others, maybe the best of them....... Hard to choose they have all been fabulous.

only complaint is that the meats were a bit too salty.  Other than that, the service was magnificent, and the food delicious.  I love the big selection of food, from the salad bar to the various assortment of meats (my favorite are the ribs, sirloin, flank and sausage).  The dessert is delicious too.  If you're a carnivore, you'll not be disappointed.

This Texas de Brazil was similar to the other TdB's that I've visited in Orlando, Miami, and Hallandale Beach. They always provide great service and the food is always delicious. We had a Groupon which we bought for $48, which gave us basically two dinners for the price of one. Also, our daughter only ate from the salad bar, so we only had to pay $24 for her. The salad bar is extensive and has a lot of good stuff. If you are not in the mood for steak, or are vegetarian, there is enough tasty items (veggies, cheeses, etc) to satisfy you here. The salad bar is what makes Texas de Brazil better than most churrascarias, IMO. However, the meat is the star here. As usual, the picanye (top sirloin) is to die for. I could just eat that, although I always sample the other meats which are good as well. We had a great time celebrating a birthday and I am always on the look out for coupons, Groupons, etc for Texas de Brazil. I would not pay full price on a regular basis, but it's well worth it if you have some kind of discount and they are very accommodating. I always leave stuffed and happy. Glad they have one in Fort Lauderdale now...

MEAT GALORE! The salad bar could use some improvement.. some things were not as fresh and not as plentiful but I'm spoiled on the South Beach location.

Tasty everything. The service could have been a little more attentive.

If you don't want to pay for valet, there's a sketchy looking parking garage around the corner for free

This was our second time at Texas de Brazil but first time at this location, the other time we went to the one in Hallandale at the Gulfstream and it was for a company holiday party. The Hallandale location seemed bigger than this one and also seemed to have a wider variety of meat. We used the Groupon and didnt have any issues other than having to wait about 10 minutes past our reservation time. The salad bar had all the usual things we now come to expect from this restaurant. The fried bananas and cheese bread they serve at the table are out of this world. I could really eat just those two things and be completely satisfied. We like dining here but due to the expense will reserve it only for special occasions. If you think about what you could eat at a steakhouse for the price of a meal at Texas de Brazil, it kind of puts things in perspective. Of course you would not get all the variety but if you only tend to eat one or two things and dont plan on filling up at the salad bar, like us, then the value doesnt seem so great.

FYI if you sign up for their email list you get discount offers and Im told that you get a free meal on your birthday. We shall be testing this out in the next few months!

Well here I am, reviewing yet another location of one of my favorite restaurants. Management does a superb job of keeping things very consistent at all locations. Only the very well trained professional ;) will be able to distinguish subtile differences between any one location and another.  What stood out at this location, was the bananas. Always a crowd-pleasing dish, but improved here! The sugar was perfectly carmelized, and formed a crunchy shell. (hey, little things matter). Meats, as always, were deliciously prepared. Texas never disappoints. Small note to management: please don't run out of mints!

Jeez I ate too much meat! Bit salty but they have a less salty options when ordering. The spiel was way too long! Jeez I am already in the place so the 20 minute captive audience collegiate course on meat is a bit much I just wanna frigging eat! Otherwise great stuff, they keep coming and in a matter of minutes you have a full plate of 10 different meats. The sale bar had fresh sushi and other great stuff to but save the space or you waste yo' $.

Went here last night.  What a treat.  If you aren't into meat - best not stop here, but it is a carnivore's heaven.  The service was impeccable, and the specialty cocktails were really unique and delicious.  The "Samba" was a peachy lemonade with barely any alcohol flavor - you could drink several of these!!
We were served tiny freshly baked cheese bread - soft and chewy inside, crisp outside - please as good as these are, don't fill up.  Next was the salad and antipasto bar (not sure what else to call it - a variety of fresh vegetables, marinated vegetables, cheeses, cured meats, seafood, sushi, soup and hot items (that I never even got around to looking at) with house made dressings.  Once again- try a bite of everything that looks special to you, but seriously, don't overdo it here...  you need to pace yourself.
Finally on to the main event.  MEAT.  Well seasoned, and seared cuts of meat - filet, lamb chops, sausages, sirloins, leg of lamb, chicken, flank steak, and many others coming tableside to tempt you OVER AND OVER.  Don't be shy to turn your serving card over to RED to stop the flow of meat coming your way for a while!  Don't forget the flavorful chimichurri and minty lamb sauces to go with all that meat!.
Somehow in the middle of all that -  silky mashed potatoes and crispy sweet bananas arrived at our table - (we had seconds on the bananas).  Don't judge.
At some point you will eventually have to raise the white flag of surrender and say NO MORE MEAT  Then you will be taunted with the idea of dessert - it you are possibly able, I can recommend the coconut chess pie.  It's sweet, intensely coconutty and enough to share with at least 2 other meat-drunk friends.
I will be back for sure, but it's a once in a while treat.

Love this place! Great cheese rolls, fried banana, and of course, great, flavorful meat!!

I love to sit back with a nice pinot noir and sample each piece of meat! My faves are the boneless rib, the filet mignon wrapped in bacon, and the lamb! Don't forget to ask your server to bring the special sauces for the steak and lamb! I've been going here for years and it was only recently that a server let me know these two sauces are available (a steak chimichurri sauce and a minty lamb one that tastes better than it sounds). I am now hooked!! They definitely enhance the flavor!

This place is definitely a treat!

This is the second Texas de Brazil I had visited. The first one was in Miami.

    Food:
Miami - the meat taste salty.
Ft. Laud. - the meat are well.

    Service:
Miami - Great service. The server took care of us regularly. Changed plates when we finished. Smiles all the time.
Ft. Laud. - Fair service. When my dad ordered the wine, he actually doesn't know so many kinds/brands of red wine. I don't know only that lady server or same as others. My dad asked her suggestion but she seems annoyed. When she asked if I need any drink, I told her just water coz' I hardly drink alcohol. Then I saw that her face with less smile.

If I go again, I will choose the Miami one. Honestly.

This place is an expensive disappointment.  Their bananas in sugar sauce are exceptional, but that's the only thing I loved.  Texas de Brazil is more expensive than Chima and fails miserably in comparison in numerous ways: barely average service, just okay food, small underwhelming inferior salad bar, etc.  Compared to Chima, this place is almost offensive.

OK come with a hearty appetite... The meat literally never stops!   Well the meat stops if you flip over the card they give you on the table that says "please no more meat!" You start off with a great salad bar and then the servers carve non stop until you can eat no more.  This was my first experience with a Brazilian Steak house, so I have nothing to compare it too----but I was impressed!

The food here is delicious, but I would always tell you to go on a coupon. The buy one get one free is as good as it gets. It's a good deal even at full price, but with the buy one get one free makes it that much better. The salad bar is awesome and the meat cuts are great. I've done Chima and I like TDB much better in large part because of the salad bar. Atmosphere at Chima is a tad big more romantic and it costs a little more because of that. I do want to go to Fogo de Chao, but I don't know that I want to drive an hour for it, so I will stick to TDB until I drive to South Beach.

Having been to Brazil and a few of these type of restaurants in New York, I feel I can provide an educated opinion. I read the yelp reviews on this place and chima and enough of them said to come to Texas. Everything is bigger in Texas right?

The salad bar was pretty good although no hot entrees like a few others in the past have displayed, but I'm ok with that. My one critsicm is the croutons. You have store brought croutons when you must have so many of those cheesy balls left over that could be turned into mind blowing amazing croutons.

The meat was good, decent selection, good cuts of meat. I certainly didn't leave hungry. Less sides than some places but I see this as a huge plus, you're here for meat. The mashed potatoes were nice and garlicky and the fried bananas were the best I've ever had. Coated in lots of cinnamon and sugar.

Lastly the drinks. The caipirinha I ordered was made with some form of sugary strawberry juice versus the muddled fresh strawberries they use in Brazil. Another small area of improvement. Hubby got a pitcher of sangria that despite our best efforts was too big for us to finish. You win that one Texas.

Overall, I haven't tried chima but this place was pretty darn good, that if I'm in the beefy mood, I see no reason to go elsewhere.

I'm not a meat person, and I barely ate any actual meat here, but this was definitely a 4 star experience as far as quality of food and service goes. I came here with my husband and three of our friends on a Sunday night. Our service from the bar to the waiter and the manager was great. Everyone was really friendly and accommodating. The only hitch we had was when the three groups within our party tried to use a promotion. The manager kindly explained that only one per table can be used but that he'll let two be used this time- so he changed our coupon to no expiration date. Very nice!

As far as the food goes, you know the drill. Lots of meats. BIG salad bar. Great sides (mashed potatoes and fried bananas). I was full off the salad bar and still didn't get to try everything I wanted on it.

The strawberry caipirinha I had was good too. If you're feeling gluttonous and need a nice place to eat, go here!

We loved it! It was my first time here and what a treat. Don't eat for like 5 or 6 hours before u come here. Also don't waste ur time on the salad. U want room for all the meat u can eat! Love the garlic steak and the chicken wrapped in bacon was superb. It's a bit pricey but its worth the trip once in a blue moon.

This is the best churrascarria that I've been to so far.  Granted, I haven't been to Fogo de Chaô yet, which I've heard really good things about, but I'd definitely say this place is up there with them in terms of quality.

The salad bar area is very nice.  I guess the only downside is that you're somewhat tempted to load up a bit too much there and then you don't have quite as much room left for the meat.  Highlights for me were the smoked salmon, the tuna tataki (I think they call it something else here, but that's basically what it is), the grana padano cheese, the fresh mozzarella, prosciutto, and the salami.  But basically everything was good there, you really can't go wrong.

On to the meat, which is what we mainly come here for, it definitely didn't disappoint.  Some of the cuts were better than others, but many of them were simply sensational.  I think the highlight was the off the bone beef rib meat which was just so incredibly melt-in-your-mouth tender.  I also liked the flank steak, the lamb, the filet mignon, the chicken wrapped in bacon, and many other cuts.  There were one or two cuts here and there (a few of the pork cuts, tenderloin and BBQ ribs, I believe) that were nothing special, but they were still OK, and overall the meat was very high quality.  Some of the cuts were a bit over-salted, but that's par for the course in churrascarias, for better or worse, and not all of them were salty.  Some weren't really salty at all, and had a nice glaze on them.

On to dessert, I went with the cremé bruleé, and I think it was a good choice.  They did a good job with the caramelized crust, and the cremé was nice as well.  It was a slight variation on the French version, as it had somewhat of a lemon essence added to the vanilla flavor.  I thought that was a nice touch, if not traditional.  I also got comped this dessert since we told them it was my birthday when we made the reservations.

This place is a bit of a splurge price wise, but on special occasions, I'd say it's worth it.  I'd definitely consider coming back again on a special occasion.

    SALTY....
All of the meat was loaded down with salt.  Complained to the manager, however, nothing was done about it.  After spending $180 for a meal for 2 I decided to contact corporate.  They were no help at all.  Even after sending them a copy of my Amex statement they still refused to send me a voucher.  Very OVER priced for the salty meat that you get.  There are many other options in the area. The parking at this location is horrible.

Our first time at this location. Been to the Miami locations many times. This one is smaller than the others but still nice. I was told it has 2 rooms in the back that sit around 35 guests each. The service and food is always top notch. My favorite meat is the lamb chops and I always tell the server "don't be a stranger". These restaurants are where I go when I need a lamb chop fix. The soup/salad area and all the meats are always first class. A manager always comes by to make sure all is well. They mean to please. We will be back.

A lot of little things, mistakes, errors puts Texas de Brazil way below the Chima chain!
On the positive side the hostess was very positive with a smile and greeting. On the other hand I saw the manager walk around the dining room 3-4 times without stopping once at a table--a personal peeve of mine. The dining room is beautifully designed but going to the rest room can make for solving a maze.
While the salad area and selections were superb--especially the flower arrangement above it--every selection of meat was so salty it was almost impossible to eat any of it.
The  piece of carrot cake, if made on the premises would be very surprising, is ruined by the raspberry and chocolate sauce under and around it.
Our server made mistakes, like bringing an iced tea instead of a diet coke among other things, though was swift with refills of water and coffee.
With the 2 dinners ($93.98), coffee ($3), iced tea ($2.75) 2 desserts ($16.50) tax ($3.66--which was wrong) plus a $20 tip for a total of  $136.23 the only saving factor was we had a coupon for 1 free birthday dinner from their web site plus they gave us one of the desserts so the check came to $84,65
Even at $43 each the meal wasn't worth it.
Oh yes there is valet parking for $5 plus tip or public parking, very well hidden. Do not park in the Publix parking lot as you wil be towed which always adds to a meal in more than just price!

I can find one of these if it is ten miles away.

This is one of my favorite chains.

The manager, though new was very up beat and pleasant to talk to.
The professionalism of his staff reflected his management style.

    Thanks for the great food.

I usually hit a restaurant more than once before writing anything about it, but I think I gathered enough of the scene at Texas de Brazil upon one dinning visit. The place is huge, like really big with thirty or forty foot semi-vaulted ceilings with a simplistic understate elegance of décor. My only complaint would be those damn hard ass stiff back no arms to them wooden chairs. They can literally speaking be a real pain in ass to sit in for any length of time, but they also have a good number of those Phillippe Starck polycarbonate "Lou Lou" design ghost chairs and upon my next visit I will insist upon being seated in one of them.

The meat, of course is prepared "churrascaria" style and served in the Brazilian rodizio manner wherein you have a little tab on your table with one side green and on side red. When the green side is up, the servers will be over to serve you from various slices of pork, lamb or steak. When the red side is up, that just means you are eating or do not care to be interrupted by the servers.

Basically all of my meats were good, extremely tasty though I thought the quality cuts at nearby Chima might be better. As far as the salad bar goes I have no qualms in stating that Chima is the better of the two by its offering of a more varied, more unique items from which to select. As with all salad bars located in popular place, it can come to a standstill as there will invariable be a couple of indecisive women that seem to relishing in bringing the entire line to a lengthy halt while they pick over and discuss each and every single item.

The place, though huge does get fill up with people and somewhat irritatingly noisy.

A major plus of Texas de Brazil is that they have a very nice out door patio, perfect to retire for after dinner drinks and getting a good view of the main entrance to the Galleria Mall located pretty much across the street.

The parking is valet only, $5.00 a clip, and with a drink or two plus tip, you might want to count on dropping around $80 a plate.

All and all, I enjoyed it, and though I thought the food and offerings superior at Chima, my preference would be in favor of Texas de Brazil.

Anyone who hasn't been to a churrascarria before is in for a real treat!  My husband and I went here twice so far. Once for his birthday and then our anniversary.  They have little laminated circles on the table that is red on one side and green on the other.  This lets the meat servers know if you want more food or to stop. It is all you can eat meat and salad bar.

This place is divine!  The salad bar is a dream for me since I don't eat a wide selection of meat.  My husband on the other hand is a known carnivore and readily devoured each cut of meat they brought around to your table.  Everything was amazing. Service is attentive, pleasant and speedy.

They have an emailing list where they send out coupons and specials every now and then which are great deals and we actually have used on both occasions.

It is a little pricey (easily over $100 per couple not including wine), but definitely well worth it if you splurge for a special occasion.

Parking is valet only with a charge.

We will most definitely be back again!

I love steak and Brazilian Steakhouses have always been one of my favorites places to get it.  That being said, my family and I went to this particular location for it's grand opening, and not one cut of meat tasted bad.  Hopefully, I can return here for my birthday.

LOVE Texas De Brazil. It's one of those places you go to on special occasions. I was glad they opened one up in Fort Lauderdale. Funny enough, I got the same server that I had 6 months earlier at the Hallandale location. I think her name is Natalia. She was very sweet and the fact that I remembered her from 6 months earlier really speaks volumes. The meat servers were very polite and attentive. It is very difficult to be disappointed here due to the fact that you don't have to wait for food-- ever. Even if you're waiting on different people to come dine with you, their salad bar is pretty fantastic with plenty to choose from. YUM! Can't wait to come here again.

We had one of their e-club certificates so we decided to try out the new Texas de Brazil which is right across the street from the Galleria.  The restaurant is decorated similar to all the other ones located in Miami and elsewhere.   One of the main negatives is this restaurant is long and skinny so all the tables are packed really closely in the middle section.  The gauchos are always bumping or trying to fit through your seat and the person behind you which gets annoying fast.   Meat and service were good, salad bar was alright but nowhere nearly as big as Chima's is.  Almost everything at the salad bar was pickled somehow... Pickled onions, vegetables, green beans, asparagus, etc.

The regular price is $47 here and Chima is $50.  For the money I would say Chima has slightly better meat, nicer atmosphere, and a much better salad bar.   But Texas de brazil is ok.
