Why didn't I know about this place until now?!  Very small, secluded restaurant but a real hidden gem!  I was so excited when I saw the menu and couldn't decide what to order that I ordered way more than I could eat!  Fried green tomatoes (SUPERB), Gumbo (EXCELLENtT) -- Ok, so I'm stuffed at this point and my meal hasn't been served yet!!!  Huge, fried Gulf shrimp that was lightly breaded, perfectly seasoned, and the sides I chose were collard greens (seasoned to perfection) and fried okra (to die for)  I love southern food and this definitely hit the spot!  I can't forget to mention the bottle of Cajun Power hot sauce on the table.  An excellent compliment to any dish.  This stuff is heaven in a bottle. (I bought one to take home).  I've been here twice in month and would probably come weekly but don't want to burn myself out.

I went to Shuck 'n Dive just yesterday. . .of course, my phone had died . . .so I didn't check-in

1st course - some fried pickles and some cooked up oysters, plus we tried the Louisiana beers.  Okay, the beers were horrible. If this is what the state of Louisiana has to offer. . .seriously. . back away now.  Take it from a pretentious Denver beer drinker

The fried pickles were okay. Fried pickle slices.  Still keeping an eye out for fried pickle spears.  The oysters were tasty. .

I got the soft shelled crab po-boy. . and it was good. No issues.  It would of been better with Sirachi (but I didn't ask) but they had a nice garlic hot sauce that did the trick.

The service was pretty bad. . but not so horrible that I"m going to nock it down to two stars.  It was if the waiter was having a bad night. . .so he gets a pass.

Overall. . .a great restaurant and hit the place for seafood.

One of the best meals I've had in South Florida. Well crafted, obviously tested and proved food, excellent staff and perfectly paired beers.

A friend who lives in the area brought me here on a whim, and what a night it turned into. We started with a snack of FRIED GREEN TOMATOES, which are a favorite of mine. If you know the dish, it all depends on two things: good product, dressed properly. These were amazing. While we both thought the dressings could have been a little spicier, there's an inCREDIBLE smoky GARLIC SAUCE on the table that more than made up for the spice (which is not to say that the sauces on the tomatoes were themselves inadequate--I just like my dishes quite spicy). We then had an order of STEAMED CLAMS with lemon/garlic/onion broth. Awesome. My buddy had had them before, and he said they were just as good both times. Being so impressed with the food to that point, we ordered some WINGS (breaded). My buddy doesn't like spicy dishes, so one of the knowledgeable and helpful servers recommended we have them with light Voodoo sauce (their hottest) rather than Ragin' Cajun (their medium sauce). The wings were breaded perfectly and the sauce was perfect. Again, the table garlic sauce was a perfect supplement to the dish. Finally, because I was still a little hungry and a little because I wanted to see if I could poke a hole in this menu, I ordered a BAYOU BURGER, blackened with sauteed onion and smothered in cheese, and a side of tater tots. Again, a triumph. The burger was sent out with a tiny garnish of banana peppers that absolutely made the burger (and again, the garlic sauce!). To ice the cake, Staz the chef came out to our table while I ate my burger and invited us to their upcoming Mardi Gras party and talked food with us a bit.
