I spent New Year's eve at Posh with friends and family. Â We sat outside, the weather was wonderful and we ordered sushi. Â This was the best sushi I have had in a while. Â The rolls were so rich and full, the flavor was outstanding, and the novelty rolls that the chef created were incredible. Â The service, atmosphere and staff were all wonderful..It was a great way to ring in the new year. Â Not overwhelmingly crowded, but just enough people to make it festive.
There was a DJ with great music. Â I highly recommend this place for sushi and drinks, in a neighborly friendly environment.
We got to Posh late, on a Thursday, around 11PM, and it was fairly empty, which was good, but there was a table of people screaming, which was not. But this wasn't just any table of people screaming. It was a table of children. Running, playing, screaming children. The manager on duty did not stop the screaming. Maybe he knew the table. Maybe that's why he let the kids run wild, screaming.
Call me crazy, but I don't want to order a hookah to smoke and alcohol to drink and hear children screaming. You don't realize how much children running and playing and screaming kills the atmosphere of a late night place - and your date - until for the first time in your life you see it.
This was so bad that we left a barely smoked hookah and drinks and threw away $40 (not to mention the cab rides) to get out of this terrible place. Not only will we never go back, we hope you don't go there either.
This is a very strange set up. A very small space that usually has a DJ Â - and is located with in the Waverley condo complex. This isn't the most inviting place. Â It may be in a nice building - but like I mentioned it is small and the staff isn't too interested in helping you. Â I've never eaten here - and I honestly wish I liked it more as it is two blocks away from where I live. Â It just seems confused between a lounge, a neighborhood bar, and some type of eatery. Â Not so great.
