Three Harmony Restaurant

The only reason to say anything bad about Three Harmony is to keep you out, so there's more for me. I love their eggrolls, which to me, is the litmus test of good chinese food. Everything else I've ordered has these qualities: ample portions, good flavor, fresh taste. Their prices are still reasonable, which makes it worth weaving past a gang sentinel or 4 to get to the restaurant. Or you can always order delivery if you aren't up to it, or it's too late at night.

The staff is always friendly, never an argument over coupons, exemplary customer service given the ** they occasionally take in my neighborhood. For dine-in, it's really set up like a small hot dog stand with a couple of tables. OK in the afternoon, but not a date place. Carry out or delivery is your best bet.

The food is good, so don't get me wrong there.  I find it delicious, and my personal favorite is probably the Schewan Beef (or however the hell that is spelled).  Also the food is a good value, after tax the lunch special is $5.25 and usually fills me up (which is saying something, I'm a big man).  However, the service is subpar.  When you order over the phone there is no information on how long the food will take.  I walked in one time to pick up my food and the main person who runs the register was sleeping.  So its a good value for the food but jut make sure you know you'll only be paying for food, not service.

Three Harmony looks like a dump, but the food is far from it. The service is speedy which is such a nice change of pace, because I hate waiting over 20 minutes for Chinese take out food. I usually get the lunch specials or dinner combos b/c the deal is so good! The amount of food can last you for couple meals.. it's that big! I usually get the shrimp almond ding or the beef and broccoli meals w/ crab rangoons. They're all super good. Their fried rice that comes with it is also delicious :) I've noticed that the lady at the front desk area has gotten significantly nicer/happier since I've started going here couple years ago :) I love it when she smiles at me when I go pick up my food. Makes me want to eat here more often, but a girl can only eat so much Chinese take out without crying in despair from not being able to fit in her jeans ;)
