I cannot imagine how this place stays open. The bartenders ignore the customers for a half hour or longer after a drink is empty; the "waitresses" walk around chatting with friends rather than doing their jobs, and nobody employed in this place appears over the age of 21 to be perfectly honest. I've been here several times, each time a few friends and we have all agreed that they are running a terrible bar. Drinks are okay and prices are average but the service is literally the worst I have ever encountered. Stop in sometime and sit ignored for twenty minutes or longer before your first drink is brought to you and you'll see what I mean. Embarrassing.
Review Source:Me and Beardo holdin' it down at Tracy's...
atmosphere is good and they have a decent amount of TVs. the service absolutely sucks though. mixed crowd. We sat at a table and were never asked if we needed anything. We ended up serving ourselves back and forth from the bar. right about when we were leaving, they cleared the table, in which my buddy asked if he could order food. he did so, we stayed another hour or so.
there was some short guy that kept standing in the bathroom stall, in the dark, waiting for people to come in and out...super wierd! i think he worked there, or was possibly a bareback. either way, on both my trip, and my buddy's trip, this guy told us, individualy, that he would pee on us. i told him it would be a very bad idea and he got the hint...later he went on to say the same thing to my homeboy, in which mi amigo was more direct ,than myself. he got the hint.
after all this, I still like Tracy's and will go back.
Place had some serious potential for a great local hangout but I cought the waitress making a "mistake" on a 5.99 burger and a glass of water coming out to $10.00. She then had a bitchy attitude like I was the jerk for not wanting to pay extra for something I didn't order. Come to find out from clients I have in that area that this girl does this on a regular basis with no consequence. You deserve what you get if you go to Tracy's  but my beer belly pitcher drinking wallet won't be back!
Review Source:Still 4 stars. Â Still a great place to go to grab a beer. play some darts and chat with the very affable bartender.
But the cook left and with him went those amazing tacos (or so the bartender told us)that I wrote about in my earlier review. Â My friend and I laughed that the tacos went off the menu with the cook- because really- how hard are tacos to make? Â But that is their story and so I pass it on.
Had a highly touted Chicago beef sandwich on a great roll and my friend went with the corned beef. Â Good. Â But not as memorable as those tacos were!
Stop in and have a cold one!
This building has been here since 1835 .How can you beat that in a bar experience. The place has a cool look and this place has been reported to have hauntings from by it's very old age. There are many screens and places to sit. It is a very comfortable bar to sit and manuever. The food is decent and the bartender always cool.
Review Source:A local social group I belong to gathers here once a month for a quick bite to eat. Some of the participants enjoy their favorite brew. I attend because my friends are there, and it's a nice place to grab a burger, corned beef sandwich, quesadillas, tacos, and more. The wait staff is usually one server, but she's always very friendly and attentive. It's not a glamorous place, far from it, but for a very at home feeling neighborhood bar, this would be your place to visit. Prices are usual and reasonable, and you won't break the bank taking a few friends there for a meal and some brewski's.
Review Source:Tracy's is a typical suburban bar. It's nothing too fancy, but it's a comfortable place to grab a few. I always find myself catching up with old friends from high school here during the holidays. It's usually pretty busy with people home from college. But it's never been to the point where I had to leave because it was so busy.
They have two dart boards (my favorite) and a good jukebox. Service can be kind of slow over on the table area side. I just make note of it right away and order doubles or get a pitcher if I'm drinking beer.
Tracy's is a nice local bar but nothing to write home about.
The bar is broken into two main areas.
1) The main bar - it runs the length of one side and is partially separated from the main dinning area with pillars and a half wall.
2) the Main dinning/game area/karaoke stage area. Â Primarily where you go to eat the standard bar fair, but also the area for general intertainment. Â Around the outside of this room is bar stools and tables, in the middle is where they have the normal chairs and they stick the video gold or what ever around the outside along with the juke box.
It's not a bad setup and I know some friends get excited to go, but I think it's generally just because we are getting together more then the local.
Food - typical for bars
Entertainment - nice layout, above average
People - Nothing threatening, just your typical locals.
Staff - Generally understaffed, so while they are pleasant, expect things to get confused at times or to take longer then you would like.
First, I want to clarify something....the corn burbs (suburbs for you Illinois folks), doesn't have "dive bars." Â You have something "else", but a dive bar, like ones deep in the city of Chicago is a world away from places out in the burbs.
This is NOT a dive bar....it's a nice bar....a cheap bar....a friendly bar....but not dive. Â The exterior, interior, and parking lot is nice which does not equal a dive bar. Â There is plenty of space and there is plenty of lighting.....which does not equal a dive bar. Â Its bathrooms are roomy and relatively clean....which a dive bar does not have, so.......
What is Tracy's, probably a great place for married guys living in the burbs.....wanting to get away for an hour or so from the kids and wife and watch a Bulls game and get a buzz without being hassled about taking out the trash or fixing the toilet.
So if you EVER find yourself driving around the Hinsdale area........why in earth you'd be doing that is beyond me, but check out Tracys...nice place.....not a dive bar.
Tracy's! just your basic cool dive bar sort of reminds you of the bar from the movie Beautiful Girls with Uma Thurman, Mira Sorvino,
Timothy Hutton and Matt Dillon with out the piano. Just a nice place to belly up listen to some good music from the jukebox and hang with your friends. The service great your bottle will never be empty they make sure of that.
