GREAT cuban sandwich! Â fresh ingredients and freshly made. Â I have seen several spots in both Ft. Laud and Miami who pre-make the sandwiches then press them when ordered. Â Ick.
This is a family-owned joint in the strip mall behind the Sears and is comfortable to eat there, or carry out. Â
For a few more dollars, you can get the Cubano Especiale with double meat! Â Oooooh, mucho tasty!!
Service was fast and friendly, the food was hot and delicious. Â pricing was excellent. Â I was bummed because it was the last day of my vacation and I hadn't tried any Cuban food. I was in Florida how could this be? So on the way out I yelped it up and found this place. Tasty food and great service. I boarded the plane with a extra Sammy and a smile.
Review Source:This place is a total gem. The food is excellent the prices are right. Great place to grab a sandwich before the beach or grab a quick meal. The cubano deluxe is especially good with extra ham and cheese. I had masas which are deep fried pork chunks. What could be better? Â One star off because it's a hole in the wall, but who cares? Â It's clean and the people are nice. The place has table, counter and take out service.
Review Source:We dropped into this place not really knowing what to expect. Â We were heading to our hotel from the airport and needed a place to eat. Â We were pleasantly surprised by the good food, fast and friendly service. We never been to a Cuban sandwich place but the food certainly was tasty and we would visit again given the chance.
Review Source:The people here were very friendly and our food arrived quickly. We had the Cuban sandwich and the habanero sandwich. Both sandwiches were very large and good but I was expecting the Habanero to be spicy but it wasn't though there were bottles of hot sauce on the table. We also had croquetas, madunos (sweet plantains), and papas rellenas which were all very good though some of the papas were cold in the middle. Our group of 7 ate for $68 plus tip.
Review Source:Went on vacation and was looking forward to checking out some Cuban food. We looked around and this place got some good reviews so we made the journey. It's kind of a hole in the wall, which doesn't bother me. The people there were friendly.
I got the Cuban sandwich. That's supposed to be the specialty, right? Here's my take on the Cuban: they are boring. Ham, cheese, and flavorless pork shoulder on a dry piece of what is essentially italian bread. I only noticed that there was a pickle slice or two after I had almost finished. There was also mustard on the sandwich, but it didn't really add much. There was some vinegary sauce on the table that I did not care for. Maybe that's supposed to be squirted all over the sandwich to make it taste better.
I suppose some Cuban sandwiches are better, but whatever. They also gave me like 5 potato chips. That estimate is not off by more than 3 chips.
WOW!! Â Here on vacation and asked a local for a good Cuban sandwich place. Â He said he eats here all the time so we tried it. Â Gotta come back soon. Â Three of the party got 3 different styles of Cuban sandwich. Â Regular, Special (extra cheese and ham) , and Super Special (Pork, Ham and Cheese). Â One of us got the daily lunch special which was the most amazing port cubes cooked until tender then deep fried until crisp on the outside and still moist and tender in the middle. Â The black beans anfd rice were to die for. Â It is a little hole in the wall place in the Sears shopping center. Â Wonderful.......All 4 of us ate for under $30.
