True Food Kitchen is the place for you if your first date is a vegetarian and you are a corn syrup junkie. And, while vegetarians are not going to be thrilled with every dish and vegans might be offended, it'll impress your first date (not that I'm saying you wouldn't date a vegan but...) and it's the perfect place to bring your mom or boss; hey, it's blessed by Dr. Andrew Weil as one of the founders of this establishment! He'd tell you it's a, "seasonal, sustainable, simple and pure" kinda place.

Whatever!  I say the menu is Mediterranean! Everything is pretty tasty - even the cardboard looking things, I mean flatbread squares. We had spaghetti squash casserole and roasted chicken served over a grain with a bits of cranberries and nuts. I think many of the recipes are inspired by Dr. Weil's concept of the "Anti-Inflammatory Food Pyramid," so mom will be proud of you when you tell her date so!  What's your mom doing out with a date...?!!

Anyway, they have a kids menu and lots of natural non-alcohol type drinks like the kale, apple, cucumber, celery, lemon, ginger zinger I had - and was just great! And, even tho I couldn't believe it - they have desserts and they are really good - like the flourless chocolate cake I shared with my date and later smeared on - oh tmi - sorry!

It's a beautiful open space, a bit loud with a huge menu you might want to study before you go if you are a bacon-cheeseburger kinda guy/gal because there is none of that here...!

They make juice, fresh, and then they put booze in it! This is the perfect way to start your visit to the TFK. And you may as well sit back and enjoy a bevi because you will likely be waiting a while for your turn to try the obscenely fresh fare.

This is the embodiment of the whole food movement. Everything farm to table, seasonal specialties, and top notch service. We tried the crudites which comes in a huge bowl and is great for sharing. You can't help but feel healthy while snacking away. The entrees are delicious across the board, so you can't really go wrong, but you have have trouble making up your mind, the wait staff are well versed happy to offer their opinions.

Great food. Incredible actually. A bit pricey $12+ per plate - but delicious. This place is busy - get there early, reserve a table, and walk around. I had the pizza with Arugula - it was one of the best pizzas I've ever had that tasted completely different than all other pizzas I've had.
