Pho On 6th

Came here in December 2012 after going to the Denver Botanic Garden "Blossoms of Lights" , needed some warm food after a chilly night outside. Decided to stop here as the Pho places we usually go to were super far from where we were at.

It was around 8:30pm or so. Dinner Rush & weekend peeps were probably doing the same thing. Walked in and the atmosphere felt authentic Vietnamese.  We were seated all the way toward the back of the restaurant (my girl friend, her niece & I) The first thing we all thought or I anyways.. was that wonderful.. in the back & we are going to be forgotten. The lighting mind you is super dark.. i know they want the romantic style but it was a little too dark plus we were seated in the back that it made it darker.. i couldn't even read my menu for heavens sake.   Oh the table they put us , somewhere was a cold draft coming in that hit our legs.. bone chilling..as if we needed that after being out so long.

Service was horrible. Again, could be they had all these open tables in the front but placed us in the back. Our server just forgot about us, plain & simple! About their food. The Pho was on the expensive side, their broth is mediocre (nothing to brag about), Their spring rolls were ok & their pot stickers were good. The only great thing about this place is their "Purple Haze" hot sake. That was really good. I had me 2 carafes.

Like I said service was horrible, horrible. They had too many servers out running around and kept passing us like we were there.  Finally wanted the tab so we could get the hell outta there. & it took them like 10 minutes to grab a to-go box. Like wtf ..is that even necessary?  I almost wanted to box everything up & leave it on the table & pretend like I just forgot it there.

Was not happy. I have had a better service for a Pho place.  Great job guys for ruining our experience!

I frequent Pho On 6th.  Love the atmosphere and the Pho.  Also the price is right.

I have to write a review because I visit this place at least twice a week. No seriously... probably even more. The Central style pho here is like nothing I have ever tasted (well, in America). The broth is rich with flavors indescribable. I would have given it 5 stars, but the service ABSOLUTELY sucks. Also, I haven't tried many other things here, but the other items I did try weren't so great. For a nice rich bowl of pho, go here. Any other dishes, I'd definitely hit up Federal.
