We tried this Restaurant six months ago on a recommendation of a friend and were not impressed. Last week with most of the other areas Restaurants being closed on Mondays we reluctantly went back. It was really good and we had an enjoyable meal. The food quality and taste were excellent with service to match.
Review Source:I'm surprised how much the quality of this place deteriorated in 3 months. Sad to see the place mostly empty, there are more waiters (all new) than customers. Our awkward waiter barely came by, we even got plates for ourselves at one point. Pre fix, once available all week, is now offered only Friday & Saturday, no coffee or tea, and $30 (before $20). When we asked for more bread, they didn't bring it, and even took away our bread plates with the bread still on it. The rice ball appetizer had a brown hair in it, when I sliced into it. Overall, the food is still good, but a bad waiter can ruin the meal. Hope this place can turn around--it was such a great place!
Review Source:Have eaten hear a number of times and have always been happy with my meal. Â Great wait staff (Omar & Lulu) and bartender. Â I've always been there for dinner but will try the lunch special soon. Â I agree with Greg P. Â it is hard to imagine that this was once a fast food restaurant. Â Â Tasteful decor.
Review Source:I was here on a Friday night with girlfriends for ladies night. Â The decor is nice on the inside and the atmosphere is pleasant. Â The wait staff and hosts are all lovely. Â The food is just okay. Â Nothing too memorable. Â I don't recall any of my girlfriends really raving about what they ordered either. Â I had the eggplant parm, which you pretty much can't go wrong with if you ask me. Â It was good, but nothing special. Â Prices are on point with other local italian restaurants of the same caliber. Â This place is nice for a casual Friday dinner.
Review Source:We lived in Brooklyn for years, and are big fans of a restaurant there called "The Queen." We have never found comparable food in the 'burbs- real Italian food, a range of dishes from prosaic Arthur Avenue style red-sauce Italian, to regional dishes from Sicily and Northern Italy. This place doesn't just cover the bases, but executes them to a far higher level than one would expect from a modest, stand-alone building in a commercial strip in Norwood. (Truth be told, most of the best food is found in places like this- not the fancy joints, in Manhattan, Rome or otherwise). We have eaten our way around Sicily, and in many of the great restaurants of the world, but the octopus here is as tender, and tasty, as it gets. One of the owners is the chef, and the other is the 'front of the house' guy; both are genuinely good guys, and listen to requests. The place will get crowded and can be a little noisy (surprisingly, the tables in the bar are pretty insulated from all that). A good spot for a great meal, no nonsense, and straight-up, the way you like it.
Review Source:This new Italian restaurant is quite a surprise. Â Unassuming from the outside, and still being remembered as a fast food joint by the locals, the interior is now a lovely comfortable dining room, cloth tablecloths, fancy lighting, and great service. Â The food is exceptional and the menu is quite varied, everything from traditional Italian entrees, to spaghetti, sauces, hamburgers and pizza. Â The food quality is very good, presentation is pleasant, and service is very very attentive on a busy Saturday night. Â We were quite impressed. Â We will return.
Review Source:I just attended a private party at this new and upcoming restaurant. I was very impressed with the decor, staff, food selections, and overall presentation. The bar area is bright, cozy, and modern with a full wine menu and custom made martinis, the Bellini Martini to be exact. Â We started the meal with a lovely appetizer of fried calamari, fresh mozzarella and tomato and mussels in a red sauce. Next, came the brick oven pizza, which was superb! Each dish out tasted the one before leaving us anticipating the main course. To no surprise or disappointment, the main dish was mouth watering. Pasta cooked to perfection with sauces only grandma could make, chicken ,eggplant, salads...YUMMO! I would absolutely recommend eating here to people near and far. Worth the drive for a delicious italian meal.
Review Source:We took a coworker out for her birthday lunch this afternoon and thought we would give this new spot a chance. We were really happy with our choice. The food was very good and the service was great as well. We tried some of the thier lunch specials that seemed like a really good deal. For $8.95 you get a small mixed green salad, a choice of penne in red sauce or vodka sauce and a choice of 4 entrees. We tried the  Eggplant parm & chicken francese and they were both very good. It was a ton of food for the price. The other people ordered pasta dishes off the menu and they were happy with their selections as well.
Review Source:It's so exciting to see a new place open up where Matt's pancake house used to be! Â Expect valet parking and a down to earth but nicely decorated interior. Â A nice wine list was available but expect drinks to be on the small size. Â The food was OK but nothing special though. Â The bread was good but the olive oil on the table was tasteless. Â I was hoping for better. Â On the plus side an oyster appetizer, two dinners and a bottle of sparking water was only $57 plus tip.
