Urban Flats could be one of my most favorite places to eat in Orlando.  They have the best flatbread pizza and the best bruschetta in all of Central Florida in my opinion.  They recently moved into a new space at Church Street Station in downtown Orlando and all I know is they are still great.  The best.

Let's start with the Bruschetta. Chad and I have rarely ever met a bruschetta we didn't like and the Urban Flats appetizer was no exception.  Well-actully- it was an exception because it was unique and possibly the best we have ever had.  Fresh tomatoes, chopped basil and creamy goat cheese are topped with olive tapenade, then served with perfectly toasted ciabatta crostini.  I loved that the bruschetta was served on the side of the bread-the crostini wasn't soggy and I could control how much olive tapenade and goat cheese I had in every bite.  I actually didn't even want to break up the wonderful presentation.  But- hey- a girl has to eat....... This was by far my most favorite part of the meal.  But no worries- it's not like the meal ever went downhill- it didn't.  It was delicious.  Like always.

I always get the same flatbread pizza every time we eat here.  I ordered the Fig and Prosciutto flat and I have never been disappointed by it- ever.  The figs are so sweet and balances so well with the salty prosciutto and the tangy blue cheese.  The only other thing on this flat are green onions.  Simple.  My mouth just watered more and more with every bite.

Chad ordered the roasted veggie flat which just happened to be on the list of $5 flat specials for the  day.  This thing was piled high with mushrooms, roasted peppers, spinach, onions and a sun dried tomato pesto.  You would think the flatbread itself would crumble under all these toppings but it didn't   The crust stayed crispy and crunchy.  There was so much flavor on this flat- this is another one we would order again.

Besides the flatbread pizzas,  Urban Flats also serves a variety of sandwiches, salads and entrees like mushroom ravioli and cedar planked salmon.  However, every time we visit we order the flat pizzas, so this time we decided that we were hungry enough to also split the Blackened Mahi "handheld" (aka sandwich.)

And well now I am really torn.  Next time should I order my usual Fig and Prosciutto flat or go for the incredibly delicious Mahi sandwich?  The fish was spicy but not salty.  The coleslaw was light and not weighed down with mayonnaise.  The tarter sauce was more like a tangy yogurt-onion dip and was so yummy I asked for extra.  Now I could dip the roasted potato wedges that were served with the sandwich into it.

What I do know for sure is that next time we are going to splurge and order the chocolate fondue for dessert or maybe the cheesecake stuffed with chocolate.

We sat outside on a warm beautiful afternoon watching people walk around downtown Orlando.  It is a perfect spot to people watch or sit at the huge bar and have a glass of wine or a beer.   We LOVE this place.

I've been wanting to try this place out but the reviews made me a little nervous. I am very glad that I decided to give Urban Flats a try even with the so-so reviews. You can't beat the location of this place. It is right on Church St. and across from the Rusty Spoon. They have nice indoor seating area, but my husband and I decided to sit outside to do some people watching.

We started our meal by ordering some drinks. I was pretty impressed with their beer selection. I liked seeing the craft beer choices. My husband was happy because they had some ciders for him to pick from. I can't remember our server's name, but she was excellent. The menu is pretty large and can be intimidating. They were also doing a new sample menu that night, so we both had a hard time trying to figure out what we wanted. Our server was quick to make recommendations, offer suggestions, and answer all our question. My husband ordered the Chicken Alfredo flat bread and I went with a veggie pita sandwich. I was impressed with all their veggie options.

The food itself is what lost them one star. It was by no means bad food, but at the same time, it was no where near that best food either. My husband's flat bread was rather dry. There just wasn't enough sauce on it and the chicken was bland. My veggie pita was decent, but I honestly think I could make better at home. The side salad that comes with the sandwich was really good though. The prices at Urban Flats are very reasonable. We spent under $30 for a beer, cider, and two entrees. I look forward to coming back to this place and trying more off their menu.

Very nice. Not at all what I thought this place was. I guess the flat in the name should have given this away. The flatbread was amazing. We were here for an event and had the pepperoni, tomato and fresh mozzarella, and cheese. Wow. Very good stuff. We was full and I kept on eating. I truly enjoyed the flavors. The staff was just ok. Not the best, but not the worst. Just indifferent. You should definitely check it out. The flatbreads were awesome.

I have been misjudging this place. I think because it sounds like Tijuana Flats, I just kind of wrote it off as the same.

I am only giving it three stars because I only grabbed a drink and I don't feel like that's a fair enough judgement of the place. I'll update when I go back for dinner.

So rarely does a restaurant mess up in your favorite, that I did want to comment. The waitress was really fun. She had served some in our group before and she remembered them. it was a Thursday and their was a special for ladies on vodka. The bar accidentally made two of my drink so she gave me the extra. I really appreciated it. Thanks!

I'll be back for more Urban Flats. I want to see what else you have to offer (though I am pretty sure I'll be disappointed if I don't get a free drink).

What would ever compel anybody to ever go here a second time?  Feel free to enlighten me.  For $12 with a drink you can have lunch here and get what they call a pizza on an enlarged cracker, the entire thing the equivalent of a single slice of pizza.  When I left $12 poorer the lining of my stomach walls were still tocuhing each other.  How utterly unfufilling.  The taste wasn't terrible so it pulled out the second star.  I have been poiunding my head against the wall wondering how the dreoors of this dog and pony show stay open and then it hit me 1)  It's a chain and you're in the per capita chain capital of the world, and 2) it has the nice little hang down lights that psychologically get people here to pretend and in some cases actually believe that they are in South Beach.  This place has all the appeal of a cold sore.

They have decent flatbreads, nothing really spectacular.  I wish this place gave me more inspiration to write more...but the lack of inspired food left me...uninspired.  I'm just a flat bread hater I suppose.

People keep taking me to eat here and I like it less and less each time I go. Some of the flat breads are decent like the Meatball Flat bread and other ones are just inedible like the Moroccan Flat bread. I've also tried the Mahi Tacos and it was the blandest thing I ever ate. It doesn't make sense; it has Mahi Mahi, salsa, tomatoes, guacamole, pico de gallo and yet had no flavor.
I also ate the Urban Stix and they were so bad I only took one bite and sent it back.

The old location at Church/Orange in Downtown Orlando was much too small to fit all the pretty people who wanted to be seen at lunch!
The new location on Church Street is much bigger -  and is still packed at lunch!
I stopped by today because it's been way too long - and I'm happy to report the food is still great.
I had my old standby, the Chicken Caesar Flat.  It was delicious! My only complaint, there didn't seem to be a lot of chicken on the flat.
Service was a huge improvement over the old location.
They have some great outdoor seating which is perfect for these warm Florida days.
My lunch-mate had the BBQ Chicken Flat which was also very good - but a little skimpy on the chicken.
It's a nice lunch spot in Downtown Orlando!

Great location right across from Rusty Spoon, but I won't be back. My husband and I sat at the bar for a drink, and half of their taps were out. We ordered the best of what they had and neither of finished our drinks. The food is decent but overpriced. Service was poor considering that it was pretty empty at the bar.

We used to go to WineDown Wednesday at the WP location (when it was $15) but we have only tried going to this downtown location once ($20 and way too crowded). I'd rather spend the money ordering food and drinks I like without being shoved around like a sardine.

Flatbread's are OK but that's about it.  Service typically is awful and slow.  9 times out of 10 they mess up and add drinks to my tab and then give you a huge attitude when you want them removed.  I'm drinking Mich Ultra's and I see 3 Crown and Cokes on my tab and I have to deal with attitude to get them removed.  This has happened  many times over the years.  Only reason I ever set foot in the place was because of Wine Down Wed which used to be a good event at the old location, now the new location just stinks, bad music, bad service.. blah... avoid.

    Not what I remembered....
I brought all my friends here last night after remembering fun times and amazing food at Urban Flats.
We got a baby sitter and headed out for the night.
The service was sooooo slow, our server was nice enough but she just seemed
clueless. She did mention she normally worked during lunch.
I would say 30% of what we ordered was unavailable. Strange? She did say they were in the middle of changing the menu.
My cocktail was tiny and had barely any liquor in it. I stopped ordering them because I knew it was a waste of time.
The food was good. Everyone seemed to like everything.
When we asked for check it took forever to get the cards back. Knowing I was paying
for a babysitter, 20 minutes felt like an hour.
I couldn't wait to get to Casey's and get a decent drink.
    Meh...
    I would try again though.

It moved!  Better location!  Love the decor- cozy, modern, chic atmosphere.  Get there in time for happy hour.  They have a good drink menu.  Flat breads are tasty and perfect for sharing.  So order a few to taste a few.

I don't drink so this review is only about the food... which I deem mediocre. Plainly put... the food here is from out of a high school cafeteria.

This specific location is the best I have been to. I have always liked the chain's food, but the energy, location, and outdoor seating is unmatched downtown.

Besides being a great happy hour with $2 beer and $3 wells, Urban Flats combines premium ingredients in a variety of entrees. From gourmet salads, shareable appetizers, seasonal flatbreads, to sandwiches and wraps, there is something for everyone here.

Don't expect to spend more than $15 per person on a filling flatbread and a drink, or a "flatwich" with a salad and a drink. And with toppings like smoked gouda, artichokes, sundried tomatoes, olives, steak, portobellos, red peppers, and a variety of unique house sauces, there is no chance you will get something boring or bland.

If you like ethnic cuisine, try the Moroccan flatbread with curry. For something French, you will love the Turkey/Pear flatbread with Brie. And for the more classic eater, you will not be disappointed with the cheeseburger flatbread or buffalo chicken. For dessert, the chocolate fondue takes the cake ;-)

They get super busy on Wednesdays for Wine Down, a weekly event that draws ALL corporate employees in the area. Try them for lunch or a different weeknight for the fastest service.

Happy Hour is til 7PM. Personal favorite meal is the veggie flatwich with urban salad and citrus ale. Fresh & delicious! Shayna is the best server ever, too!

Love the location; a great place for dining outside and taking in the downtown scenery.  It's an ideal spot for dining when it coincides with the Third Thursday Art Stroll happening downtown.

We've stopped by on Thursdays during their Ladies Night when they offer their flatbreads for $5, Pinnacle drinks are $3 and a free dessert for the ladies from 7pm-10pm.

We took advantage of dining on their patio. When we dined here the first time our waitress rocked.  She was helpful, friendly and quite personable.  We adored her so much on our next visit we made sure we were seated in her area.

I took advantage of the $5 Flatbread special for ladies.  I'm usually not one to order flatbread, but there were a number of tasty options that caught my attention. The first time I got the Turkey, Pear & Brie and it was great.  The flatbread was a decent size & plenty to eat. The second time around I ordered the Cheeseburger.  It was different having pickles and mustard on a flatbread, but all the flavors that you would find in a cheeseburger were quite tasty on it.  We've also ordered salads to go along with the breads.  They were good too.

A nice treat for ladies night was the complimentary dessert.  The times I went they offered Pineapple Upside-down cake.  I was surprised to see it was a regular dessert sized dish.  This dessert was delicious!

If you're looking for a casual spot to dine while downtown, Urban Flats can be an ideal location.  I prefer the patio over eating inside.  It's a great spot for people watching.

Tasty food, fantastic service and a great location make Urban Flats a good place to stop for some eats when downtown.

Maybe it was our fault for visiting Urban Flats on the night of a bar crawl (our luck).  It could have been the planets aligning not in our favor.  Who really knows??  But this trip left us unimpressed and somewhat cranky.

Was it the party of 55 they let take over half the restaurant and block you from getting up?  Maybe.  Was it the waiter going MIA for 40 minutes while we sat hostage waiting for our checks?  Could be.  Or was it the parking "Validation" that was just a discount coupon?  It's hard to say.  But we did end up leaving with our cranky pants on and thinking twice about returning.

    Oh well :/

The lobster mac and cheese starter is pretty good. Actually feels like a light dish rather than a heavy one.

I've also tried their wedge salad with steak. Their wasabi ranch sauce that comes with it is incredibly strong, I caution you on the use of it. I had plenty of nose clearings from it and it wasn't fun.

This place is great for large groups and location, especially when you want to go straight to a bar or club right after.

I love love this place.  The flat breads here are so yummy.  My favorite is probably the fig and prosciutto and turkey pear and Brie. Actually all of them are quiet interesting and delicious.

The salads are good too.  Service is friendly.  Somehow I cant get enough of this place.

I like chocolate, as do most ladies. It is like a secret weapon or the delicious boyfriend who is always there for us. Well, I would saw that for desserts and me as a whole. It is my weakness for sweetness. And this simple classic of dipping things in chocolate never really gets old. The Urban Flats in Orlando is one place you can have the classic fondue and it can hit the spot. The warm chocolate is served with a variety of fruit, pound cake, and marshmallows so you can dip at your heart's content. It is also a great dessert to share at the table and maybe even get a little messy.
How could it get better? Well, it would be cool if they had a few chocolates to pick from and some unusual fruit or items to dip. Figs would be great this time of year or maybe even dabble in the salty sweet combo.

I'm not a regular here but I appreciate that when I do drop in the place is consistent. They have a good selection of wines, and while I think the flatbread is what they do best, there are a few tasty appetizers too. Yesterday afternoon I was in need of a hangover cure and found myself craving the lobster mac n' cheese - which is exactly as advertised, a small plate of hot, cheesy macaroni goodness with chunks of lobstah and triangles of flatbread. Someone in an earlier review called it Cheez Whiz. That is very likely true (I posted a picture so you can judge for yourself) but in my condition it is pretty much exactly what I wanted. Not a ton of lobster in it, but there's enough. If you're craving a better quality cheese, they also have a baked goat cheese app with tomato bisque and garlic bread.

I shared a flatbread as well - the fig and prosciutto and bleu cheese is my fav - and props to them for having an "add bacon to anything" option. The fig and prosciutto is pretty much the only one I won't add bacon to. :) The white pizza and the turkey, pear and brie are both good with bacon thrown on.

If you want to watch a game or just enjoy their happy hour specials, there is a bar area around the curve in the back that you might not even notice if you are just coming into the restaurant. Also, their Wine Down Wednesdays events can be nice as well - $20 for wine/apps and funky tunes by DJ BMF and mingling on their outdoor patio. The place can get quite loud and busy during prime hours - I have felt rushed when eating, say, at 8pm on a Friday - but is often super quiet during non-prime hours. My last two meals there were around 5ish on weekend days and we had great service.

I've become a big fan of Urban Flats over the years.  I find myself craving their flatbreads all the time....luckily I live right across the street so I can satisfy my craving by just walking over there and picking one up!

Their flatbreads are always made fresh and you can practically create your own or alter ones on the menu if you dislike something on one.  My all time favorite flatbread is the White Out, which is mozzarella, parmesan and feta cheese with crushed red pepper.  It's delicious!  They also have great salads and a few entree dishes to choose from.

Urban Flats also has Wine Down Wednesdays, which is $20.00 all you can drink beer, wine or sangria and appetizers such as an assortment of their flatbreads they bring out fresh.  There's always a good crowd when there's good weather.

Wine down is the reason for going here....I haven't eaten at the restaurants before. For twenty dollars, and all you can eat hor dourves, wine, beer, and sangria...well I REALLY like this place!!

Wednesday they have wine down from 5-8. Twenty dollars is totally worth going!! I will be going to many many more wine downs as long as its not too hot outside...now that the FL heat is really starting to kick in!

    Fellow Yelpers,

I have eaten here before on a business lunch and I must say my experience was less than memorable, which leads me to believe that is the reason why the location at which I previously ate has been closed for some time.  Harsh opening paragraph, I know, but I deliver sweet justice on my reviews.

Although I have not given this place a second chance due to their lackluster options my beautiful girlfriend and I decided to go here and pre-game for a night out at downtown Orlando.

The bar is very nicely set up and the drinks we were served were of great quality and quantity for the price.  My girlfriend had a 'caipirinha' which was done very well but a bit limey.  I just had a straight vodka with a lime on the rocks which a monkey bartender with a mentally challenged brain could make, so no pluses here.

This is just a quick review. Great location, great atmosphere, good bar, can't review the food here yet.  I don't want to pass judgment 'food-wise' on this location yet like I did in the opening paragraph which referenced the old Waterford Lakes location.  If and when I eat here, I will update this review.  Go there for a quick drink before hitting the clubs and it will be a pleasant experience.

    Out like a trout.

I went here for the Wine Down Wednesday at this location. Not a bad deal considering how much you would pay for everything separately. Nice selection of wines. I chose a Pinot Grigio. I didn't partake in the appetizers though.

It's a great location to just sit and people watch, and it was a gorgeous night when I went. I didn't stay too long this time, but would like to come back another night with some friends.

The only con was that it was confusing to a first time visitor as to where to "check-in" and get your wrist band. I had to ask a couple of staff members before I got to the right place.

A definite plus is the parking validation! I didn't have to pay a thing. Woohoo! Especially since that parking garage is so expensive.

Upscale but not uppity.  Pizzas are baked in a brick oven, oval in shape, and made with whole wheat dough.  I would prefer a slightly thicker crust.  Their menu is relatively large, so you'll find something that sounds good.  They are very nice about substituting with vegetarian options on their signature dishes.  Good salads, moderate in size.  Delicious dessert pizzas that vary, so be sure you ask what's available.  I like the creative topping options such as freshly made fig jam, pears, a variety of sauces...
This is a chain, but doesn't feel like it.  Most locations are in Florida, and one is in Nashville, TN.
    Service is flawless.
    Great restrooms.
You'll pay for parking (this location is in downtown Orlando) unless you're willing to walk about a half mile.

The food here is awesome! Must try the baked cheese and lobster mac and cheese appetizers, they're to die for.

The service on the other hand is hit and miss. Ive been put in a corner and forgotten, my appetizer never came and once I got the wrong food...but the food is good enough where I just cant break up with them.  On wednesdays or thrusdays they offer a Bruschetta Flat which is amazing! It's not on the menu but if you ask for it and they have the ingredients they'll gladly make it special for you.

After 12 the music is super load so it's not really the place for a conversation.  Wednesday, if you're young and single it's Wine Down Wednesday and the environment is "target rich"...so get your flirt on ;)

Parking is behind the building in the worst garage ever built (it's steep and narrow) but they validate.

    Wine down Wed.

Finding professional singles in Orlando can be a daunting task, especially in Downtown Orlando. However, Wine Down Weds offers a great mingling environment with plenty of flat bread apps, all the wine you can drink and Orlando's single professionals for only $20 bucks.

Get there early because the Orange Ave location gets jam packed by 6:00pm. The event, which occurs every Weds from 5-8pm is a great way to network or meet your friends for drinks and apps.

Okay, we have time to sit for lunch before we photograph the wedding...On a Sunday afternoon in Downtown Orlando, what is open and what is good? How about flat breads?! Not bad I must say...The service was kinda iffy, not very attentive and kinda slow. At least my soda didn't go empty.

So I ordered the Turkey wrap, wasn't in the mood for bacon, so i nixed that. But it was good, light and refreshing, but just a turkey wrap! The salad on the side was extraordinary though! Nice and fresh, it had goat cheese, golden raisins and sunflower seeds! Delicious.

My boyfriend ended up getting a prosciutto and sausage flat bread pizza that was extremely good! They serve them on these flat plates with cute holes in them like a painter's palette.  Everything was fresh, good, and we kinda wanted to go back for more pizza flat breads! :D

I  have been to Urban Flats a few times. This was my first time at the downtown location.

I went on a Friday night and it was busy but that can be expected. The wait was only about 5 minutes. Our waitress was fast and we got the flats in no time. I got the one with pancetta and gorgonzola on it (can't remember the name) and it was decent. Previously, I got the buffalo chicken one which was awesome!

The place is moderately priced. I love the way it is set up with glass for walls so you can see downtown.

    And they validate parking!

Nah. I went to Urban before seeing "Shutter Island" and like the movie, both failed to please.

I did not like my food. It was bland. The server forgot our drink order.
It is way too pricey and felt a bit like a meat market.

Great healthy food and original flatbreads in a beautiful setting in the Plaza overlooking the plaza. Cozy dining room, or happening bar, with good drink specials. Great place to eat and drink prior to a movie. No, THE place to eat and drink prior to a movie.

Their 'local food' was limited to local eggs last time I went, but dammed if they aren't trying.

Friendly staff and many wines by the glass. Anything else?

I really want to love Urban Flats, I really do but every time I go it often just falls, well, flat.

I've gone to this location a few times (though never for the Wine Down Wednesday) and the layout is insanely weird: the whole restaurant is crescent shaped with a couple of larger booths tucked way in the back. If you're coming in from the movie theater, you have to walk all the way through the restaurant to get the hostess podium which they inexplicably put outside at the main entrance (the last few times I went, it was inside). When I went with 5 other girls we felt a little removed from the all the action happening out front. I think once it warms up they'll have outdoor seating but right now for groups of 5 or more, it's a crappy place to go to.

Like other reviewers have said, this restaurant is a little loud and the waiters (and there seems to be an overabundance of them) do tend to chat with each other quite a bit.

What you can expect are great appetizers - I'm not a huge fan of the minimalistic flatbreads since I feel like I could just concoct mine at home but I do enjoy their appetizers and martinis.

I always tend to order sweet martinis and have gotten the Banana Splitini a few times which is never the same color or consistency every time I order it (although it is still delicious). I can make some allowances since bartenders can interpret a drink differently but I'm surprised more people don't point out the discrepancy.

I don't dislike Urban Flats, like another reviewer mentioned, it's a convenient location and it's popular - I just feel like they could do better.

Great location and within walking distance of the bars. I really enjoyed my oven roasted vegetable flatbread. It was fresh and the perfect portion for me...probably too small for someone really hungry.

But the service was awful! Our server was more interested in chatting with her coworkers than taking care of the customers. We had to ask for refills, we waited a long time to order, get our food, and even longer to receive our bill.

    Location: Great
    Menu: Good
    Service: OK
Wine Down Wed: Have yet to try at this location

Great location downtown on the corner of Orange and Church is a huge plus.  No matter where you are DT this local is almost always within walking distance. However, this could also be a concern if you only have time for a quick bite at lunch because it gets packed!

This location had an interesting layout compared to the WP Urban that I frequent.  Everything here is really open as it wraps around the corner of the building allowing for huge floor to ceiling windows looking out on Orange Ave and Church.

I do dig their flatbreads but on this visit I went for a delicious salad: The Park. Baby Spinach, pears, walnuts, caramelized onions and balsamic vinaigrette.  It comes with blue cheese but blue cheese and I are NOT friends =)  Also, I recently got into the whole fruit in salad and can I say I am so sad I have not indulged previously, it's so yummy!  I also added chicken this time and it was a perfect amount of food and protein for a lite lunch.  It was delicious.

Because it was so crazy busy during lunch it seemed our waiter was a bit distracted as he was running everywhere.  He was nice though and seemed to get everything right he just seemed a little frantic.

Urban is well known for their Wine Down Wed and I actually have never been at this location but have walked by during one and it looks like it gets packed!  I have to add to my bookmarks that I have to try this location for a Wine Down, just looks like an entirely different beast than the WP location.

I love Urban Flats!  Particularly this location because I both work and live downtown; it's convenient.

Oddly enough, every time I go to UF I end-up getting the same thing, and it's not the flatbread this restaurant is so noted for!  I love their soups (the Italian chicken & corn chowders are particularly yummy) and I am addicted to their wedge salad - unlike other wedges, Urban's features a spicy horseradish sauce...and it's awesome!

The downtown venue is great because it's so open, and the wall of windows that opens-up to Orange Avenue gives the sensation that we Central Florida residents are actually living in a big city.

One drawback, I have to admit, is going during the peak lunch hour sometimes results in slower service, but that's my only complaint.

NOTE:  I'm rating the price range as moderate, mainly because I typically end-up ordering a couple of items and either a beer or glass of wine.

Since we had a heavy lunch, we decided to try Urban Flats for a light dinner and it turned out to be perfect. The flat bread by itself was just enough for a person of you are not too hungry.

I had the Buffalo Chicken flat bread and it was quite good. It had buffalo wing sauce and Gouda with chicken and celery hearts topping a wheat thin crust flat bread.

My mother had the Lobster Mac & Cheese which she said was okay. They used Cheese Whiz as the cheese ;(

At the time we arrived it was happy hour!  $3 for a glass of wine and it was a pretty good wine!

The decor is an open restaurant kind of modern with stained concrete flooring and exposed air ducts. The bar is a beautiful dark wood. I would say this restaurant is casual so it would be good to bring children or head there after a game of golf.

Overall a good experience as well.

I actually really enjoy flatbreads and lighter fare to go along with my boozing, and Urban Flats provides those exact accomodations for me.  They can get pretty busy, even during the week, when they offer "Winedown Wednesday," in which lots of cheap wine specials are offered.

They also have a pretty large outdoor seating area, and located on Orange avenue, its actually a great place to do some people watching of the downtown inhabitants.  My favorite flat is the turkey, pear and brie.  It is sweet and tangy and just filling enough.  The service is always good and the atmosphere is great, so give Urban Flats a try next time you are in the downtown area.

I have respect for Urban Flats for one thing:  they don't disguise their flatbread as "pizza".  I'm tired of restaurants serving up creative flatbreads and claiming it is pizza.  Give me a break.

"I'll have the feta, pineapple, fig and arugula pizza please, with a smattering of ear wax".

    NOT PIZZA!

Back to Urban Flats...I got the 'classic' flatbread (keep it simple) with pesto, sliced roma tomatoes and fresh mozzarella.  It was perfecto.  Plus, they have Yuengling beer and that is a bonus.

Downtown Orlando surprised me, lots of cool restaurants and pubs around, although the people are quite cheeseball.  People watching at its best!
