Victor Tangos is a great place to come if you want a tasty share plate and signature cocktail with a friend. I would not recommend bringing your hungry family there after they just moved you in to your apartment.

Great place for appetizer and drink awful place for a meal. The portions were way too small and the price was too high. The food was good but don't expect to be full after eating. Sincerely, 22 year old man.

Someone really over-hyped this place. I had great expectations. We stopped by for drinks and an appetizer before another place. The drinks are not my cup of tea. The guys loved it, but they like anything with whiskey. I thought tiny kitschy places like these are geared towards women. Every place has one fruity cocktail that I like to try. This was not the case. I got something I was so unhappy about, I completely forgot what it was.

We tried the bone marrow appetizer. I am a huge fan of marrow, and I feel like if you didn't dry it out, then it's good so I cannot judge based on this. We got the marrow because that was the best looking one on the menu. What does that say?

I wasn't interested enough to go back. I wouldn't avoid it, but a dear friend must really want to go here for me to come back.

I am a serious foodie and this is one of my favorite restaurants in Dallas!  Anyone can bravely order any item of the menu and they are all delicious.  My personal favorite is the tuna crisps which is one of the appetizers, the lamb chops are mouth watering, and their macaroni and cheese with truffle is to die for.  Just writing this is making me salivate.  The ambiance is very trendy and nice.  Great place for a date a girls cocktails/dinner session!

As long as it's located in the Knox-Henderson area, call it food, charge me money and I'll buy it.  Unless, it's Victor Tango's.  The food was so meh. They are trying REALLY hard here. We had a flatbread with figs and goat cheese, some bone marrow thing, and a chicken croquette.   It was all okay.  And that's the best word for their food. Okay.

The atmosphere is fun and trendy, it's a little TOO trendy for me.  There were some awfully pretty girls, but I prefer The Libertine or The Old Monk.

Our server was baller! The drinks were good, too!

Oh, if you have a child with you, and by child I mean a grown up that refuses to try new foods, do not bring them here.  I'm LOOKING AT YOU, SISTER.

I feel like Victor and I are friends... with benefits.

When I first walked by, I was intrigued by the random door against a brick wall, so I went in and was immediately mesmerized by Victor Tango's large... chair. Got my mouth around those "lamb chop" lollipops and never wanted to take them out. I was amazed and I wanted more.

But I went back a second time, and it felt kinda like Victor lost his spark. He was a little dull... I ordered up some exciting and promising appetizers and he left me... lying in a fetal position, wondering if what I thought was more... is really, just pure cheap... luck.

So time passes by, a few months, and I'm kinda wondering how old Vic is doing. Decide to pay him a quick visit. And boy, is it back on again. Oh. It's on. The mussels are flavorful and the flatbread is sweet and savory.

But I'm just not sure about you yet Vic... will you dissappoint me on my next visit? We'll just have to see...

I found this place very entertaining. My girl and I went and sat at the bar.  The best thing about Victor Tangos are the really gorgeous girls and the guys hitting on them. If you are a good looking girl and like khaki wearing, plaid button up old frat boys this is your spot.  The cocktails were ok but I tend to like more of the craft cocktail scene so I switched to beer of which they have a nice selection.  We got some nibbles and the lamb chops and tuna nachos were very good.  So if you are into good food, beer, hitting on girls out of your league or watching others do that and laughing. Victors is an awesome time.

I'm glad I finally got to come here and try this place. That said, I really don't think it's for me.

First of all, on a positive note, the bartenders and drinks are outstanding, and the plates we shared were more than decent. Sadly, these things do not exist in a vacuum, rather, they are surrounded by 23-year-olds. There is nothing wrong, per se, with being 23, but an overabundance of drunk 23-year-olds just really isn't my scene anymore.

The people watching (read: watching vaguely fratty dudes hit on stunning-looking women who are way out of their league) was fairly amusing. This place wasn't quite a meat market like The Loon, but it bordered on it. There's definitely a lot of pretty going on at this bar, and it also got pretty crazy busy by 9 and on.

We had the tacos, lamb lollipops and tuna nachos. I myself can't do tuna since I've always owned cats and tuna will just never not smell like cat food to me. But the bf assures me there were pretty damn good and some girl next to me who had ordered them basically told me she wanted to dry hump her plate. So I guess you should try those nachos.

Like I said, the bartenders and drinks were tops. There were plenty of choices but the bartender recommended letting him surprise me based on my liquor preference (bourbon girl). I was very happy with the results.

So this is not a bad place by any means, and the Knox/Henderson area is always great, but I guess these days I prefer a scene that's slightly more chill. If I were back over here I'd probably opt for the Monk any day. And if I'm wanting top cocktails, I'll just head over to Private Social! (Uptown does have at least a couple douche-free establishments, I'm finding!)

This is a very good restaurant. Fresh ingredients and good service. I really liked the duck bacon and fig flat bread. Also had the mussels which are some of the best I've had. Not Fishy and cooked well.

This is my first review on yelp, I hope it helps!
Two friends, my wife and I tried Victor Tangos Saturday night. We all consider ourselves foodies and really enjoy the tapas concept. Thank you Spain. The atmosphere was inviting and perfect for enjoying food and conversation with friends. The service was prompt, spot on and never pushy. We all shared mussels, lamb lollypops, scallops, quail and ended with the Toffee Cake. Every dish was delicious with inventive twists by the chef. We were all very impressed. My only complaint is that the toffee cake was so delicious it almost ruined the night out as the ladies were in little dresses for dancing.
Victor Tangos keep up the good work!

Really creative menu and a great vibe inside the restaurant...
My personal Faves were the Ahi Tuna Tartare Nachos, The Duck Bacon Flatbread and the Lamb Chops. The Toffee Cake and Bread Pudding Desserts were also a real treat to end the meal.

The really popular "Not on the menu" Chicken and Waffles did not taste good, the meat tasted off. The Singapore Soft shell crab with sausage fried rice was also not too impressive.

Again, great service by the wait staff as well..

What in the world made you mix the bone marrow with pulled pork? One great thing plus one not great thing is just a whole lot of nothing special. Other disappointments- The fish was too fishy, the pasta was bland. So I'm gonna mix my previously great experiences with this less than great experience to give you an overall less than excellent rating : )

I am writing this review for my overall experience from coming here numerous amount of times.  My boyfriend and I used to come here and actually enjoy the food here.  Recently, it's gone downhill and just not the same anymore.

This restaurant is a trendy spot located on Knox/Henderson right next to Hibiscus.  It has a mix of casual, yet upscale feel but gets overly-crowded on weekends.  The bar is way too small and it's a little awkward standing in the middle of the floor.

The service here is usually very on point.  Servers here are friendly and prompt.

Now on to the food.  Honestly, it is way overpriced for mediocre food.  My boyfriend is the type that is willing to pay whatever for great-quality food and service, but the last time we visited, we were really disappointed.

We ordered our usual Lollypop Lamb-chops and an order of mussels.  They used to be delicious and make your mouths water as you're eating them.  I think the kitchen changed it up, because the lamb-chops looked different and lacked flavor.  The mussels were just OK.  We decided to try something new and ordered the char, which is similar to a salmon.  It was definitely something different, and I liked it..but not enough to pay that much money for it.

In the past, we've also ordered the homemade lamb sausage flatbread. It is definitely on the salty side that we couldn't continue eating it.  Their chicken and waffles are actually amazing, but unfortunately, I haven't seen that on the menu for a long time now.  Also, they used to have a porkbelly dish that literally MELTED IN YOUR MOUTH.  Again, that was taken off the menu and they have a different version now but it is just not the same.

The cocktails there are different and tend to have a minty/leafy taste to it.  If you like cocktails, you will like that about it.

VT has a limited selection for dessert, which I feel is unfortunate for someone with a sweet-tooth.  The warm sticky toffee cake is actually delicious but lacks presentation.

Overall, this place is just OK..and not worth the price you pay.

I unknowingly came here right before closing time, so unfortunately, my first drink was at last call, the bartender was nice enough though to offer us a second drink if we wanted one. The only reason why this bothered me was because it was midnight on a Saturday. I guess they like to close up shop early :/. I got the Pimm's cup and my friend got the Kentucky Buck. I loved mine, it was like drinking a fresh fruity garden (weird description, i know, but that pretty much sums it up). He absolutely hated his. His exact words were "This is absolutely painful to drink but I paid for it so I'm gonna suck it up and drink it". That's not what you want to be saying when the cocktails are $10. If you look at the menu it doesn't specify what bourbon whiskey they use. Made us wonder what was in it, next time we'll ask. I won't dock a star for that due to how awesome my drink was, I think it's just a matter of taste.

I liked the atmosphere and the waiters were very courteous. Ours accidentally swiped my card for my friends tab which was literally double what I ordered. He canceled the transaction but notified me that it might still show up, and that if it did that I could call and ask for him by name so that they could give me my money back. I consider that good service in the case of human error.

Next time I return it will be for dinner and I will pay with cash :)

Don't know why we waited so long.  My husband is very hard to please and he loved everything we tried. Did not know this was a small plates place. Friday night, crowded, 45 minute wait. Sat at the bar and had a drink and some mussels. Bartender very helpful in selecting a beer. The mussels were delicious. The toasted bread served with them was just right, crunchy and soaked up the sauce. Just as we finished the mussels our table was ready. The wait was probably closer to 30 minutes.

Our server  explained the menu and we ordered the kale salad, amber jack, and orrecchiette. She served them in order, not all together, which was perfect and each dish came out with very distinctive flavors. Never thought I'd like kale. I've had it several ways and have even made kale chips. But this salad was very good, with the lentils and dressing adding just the right flavor. Next, the amber jack, perfectly cooked with tiny potatoes, skins on. Great combination. Amber Jack had a nice flavor, not too strong and the texture with the potatoes was excellent. Last, the orecchiette. Came with an egg on top. When we mixed it up, it gave the pasta a very rich flavor. Last, just because everything else was so good we went for the sticky toffee cake, topped with vanilla ice cream. It was enough for 3 people. We ended up taking almost half home and then ate it as soon as we got home.

This place is loud if you're sitting up front. Thankfully, we were at the back. And it's definitely a 20s and 30 somethings crowd. But so worth the visit. Prices were reasonable. The amount of food we had was just right and the prices were very reasonable.  Can't wait to go back and try more dishes. Very imaginative menu with creative combinations.

This review is long over due! I should've written it a long time ago. It's been on my to-do list, and I'm just now getting to it! I loooove coming to Victor Tango's!

They have happy hour from 5-7PM M-F and are opened until midnight M-Saturday. Great place to consider eating if you're looking for a late night grub since so many places are closed after 10PM!

You don't order something just for yourself here! It's tapas style. Order and share!

    Things to get:
Ahi Tuna Nachos, Mini Crispy Carnitas, Porkbelly, Lollypop Lambchops, Mac and Cheese, Salmon Kabobs, Chicken and waffles.

    Drink of choice: Passionfruit Gimlet

Love this place!!!! Awesome, original menu and friendly staff!!!  The only downside( and I mean only) is the drink menu is a little pricey.

I went there to celebrate my birthday and got the mussels and the tuna nachos. The Nutella bread pudding was awesome!!!!  We will be going back!!!!

Love this place. We've been coming here for about three years and every time we get great service and awesome food. If you love to share and try new things, this is the place for you. The bone marrow is my ultimate favorite. Bring lots of friends because its always better to share food you love with people you love.

Ask for Holly. She's super sweet and always takes care of us.

I came to VT's for my bachelorette party dinner and it was AMAZING.  Great food, ambiance, company, and service.  Let me give you the lowdown.

Overall:  Great for large parties, so you can share lots of different plates!  Convenient place to start the evening...can bar hop around the street afterwards.  DRAM, Candleroom, etc.

Ambiance:  Dark and seductive, but good energy.  You can still see what you're eating!

    Food:  YUMMY!
1st tier plates (absolute musts):  Warm sticky toffee cake (the size of a football..seriously!), duck flatbread, orecchiette carbonara, bite-sized chicken and waffles.
2nd tier plates (still pretty good):  Mac and cheese, beet salad
3rd tier (meh plates):  lemon meringue dessert, nutella bread pudding (can't taste the nutella!)

Drinks: A great selection of specialty cocktails.  Take your pick!  Personally loved the grapefruit Rickey.

Service:  The best!  So nice and inviting.

Tips:  Don't worry if you don't see chicken and waffles on the menu.  You can still order them!  Phew.  :)

We came here after a blissful spa day with my fellow managers to continue the pampering. I'd never been, but they highly recommended it. The decor reminds you of a speakeasy- no windows, exposed brick, chalk boards behind the bar toting the current drink specials. The staff are dressed casually but uniformly. There were a lot of tables and beautiful banquettes.

Right off, I thought I may have a problem. The menu was small but well thought out. However, there didn't seem to be any decent vegetarian options. I got nervous. Our server was very knowledgeable about the menu and what the kitchen could do, so I needn't have worried.

We started with the pickled baby vegetables- crispy, briny, green beans and baby carrots. Very good. We also had the duck bacon, goat cheese, fig flat bread. They were nice enough to forgo the bacon on half so I could try some. I have to say, I'm a real slut for goat cheese. Put it on anything and I'll eat it happily. This didn't disappoint. The bread was crisp and not soggy, the ratio of cheese to figs to herbs was wonderful. I could have eaten it all night! My friends had the lamb lollipops and seemed to enjoy them. There was also some sort of garlic bread bits with a tomato sauce that reminded me of something you would find at Olive Garden. It was good, but not great.

For my main, I had the tempura vegetables with herb mayo and the Spanish lentil salad with baby kale and a poached egg. The tempura was light but flavorless and the mayo was the only saving grace. As sacrilegious as this may be, some Ranch dressing would have fixed it. The salad kale was amazing. Really flavorful and crisp, but the lentils and egg seemed to have no seasoning at all. It was as if the kitchen were afraid of salt and pepper. Very disappointing.

Desert was the lemon meringue and a chocolate ice cream and cake. The chocolate cake was great, but the lemon meringue was more like a custard and was so bitter it was inedible. Cocktails throughout the night were very good and I may go back to drink but not to eat. I was still hungry by the end.

Food here is great, and you end up getting to try a lot of different dishes since they're Tapas.  All around this place is excellent, only downside is that they only take reservations for eight or more, and the wait gets really long on weekend nights.

Just a quick update on their menu.  I know everyone loves their chicken and waffles and crab mac & cheese... but they are no longer on the menu.  I asked the waitress about them and she said they are phasing these out and going towards a more "adventurous" menu.  That being said, I tried the sausage stuffed calamari and bone marrow instead of my usuals, and it was good.  I do feel like the portions are shrinking... and prices are getting higher.... it may not be my favorite restaurant in Dallas anymore.... gotta find chicken and waffles elsewhere now!

Love me some VT's! The cocktails are tasty, food is delish and perfect for groups to share a bunch of yummy bites together! We ordered several flatbreads (I enjoyed the one with mushrooms, asparagus and fontina) and the specialities not on the menu, the mini chicken and waffles and crab macaroni and cheese. A friend ordered the sweet potato fries which I tried and were yummy as well! I appreciate the variety on the menu. It's a small spot so I recommend calling in advance for a table and fills up quickly on Saturday night.

This has been bookmarked for me for a while now.

Tapas with american food? sounds like a good combination.  The boo and i decided on a random dinner/drink date night so Victor Tangos seemed like a good option to go to.  We arrive and were seated.... it was pretty busy.  Since it's dallas, i really can't tell who is actually wealthy or is just one of the typical dallas resident who puts up an image of being wealthy.  Either way, it was packed with blonde girls in their heels and men wearing their english laundry dress shirts.  The boo and i ended up ordering the cheesy toast with san marzano marinara, korean style hanger steak with grilled broccolini, sausage stuffed calamari, orecchiette carbonara, and the sticky toffee cake.

Everything tasted great.  The mini croutons had great cheese flavor and the marinara tasted very bright due to the san marzano tomatoes.  The hanger steak was cooked perfectly to a medium rare with a subtle sweetness from the korean bbq marinade.  The broccolini still had it's crisp with a nice charred flavor.  The sausage stuffed calamari had a nice saltiness from the spicy sausage.  Calamari was cooked well and wasn't rubbery.  The orecchiette carbonara was rich and had great mouth feel, due to the egg yolk that gets broken and mixed into after the plate arrives.  The star of the show was the sticky toffee cake.  Warm and soaked with butterscotch sauce, it had a slight crispiness from the caramelized sugars on the outside.  The mascarpone whipped cream cut through the sweetness in a good way.

The flaw with Victor Tangos is the portion and pricing.  19 dollars for maybe 6 ounces of hanger steak when it goes for $3.99/lb?  Two calamaris the size of a ping pong ball for 13 dollars?  I was surprised with the size of the toffee cake, it can honestly be split with 3-4 people.

Victor Tango's cooks great food but if you want a filling meal... prepare for a high bill.

I'm from California, and I've traveled to NYC 7 times in 2012, so I had my share of experiencing great food at great restaurants. By no means am I some food expert or a foodie. But Victor Tango really took me by surprise. I didn't know Dallas could have such a neat place. I must say that the atmosphere is great. It's trendy and modern, and has a great live feel to it. The crowd was huge parties of well dressed women. Cha ching!

One of the first things that stuck out to me was the service. As soon as we were seated, they brought us ice cold water. Didn't even have to ask. Our waitress was super attentive and she made so many great recommendations.

The food. Wow, the food. Victor Tango does a great job of making... really good food. the ahi tuna nachos met the hype. Delicious. We also go the lamb chops, the meatballs and the grilled squid salad. I liked all the dishes because they don't try to mix in so many different bizzare flavors and force them to come together to make a 'fusion' or inspired dish. They stick to a few bold flavors that when they come together, it just makes really good food. My girl friend and I enjoyed every last bite, and it was delicious. I haven't been impressed by a restaurant in a long time.

It can be pricey. It's not a cheap place to eat. be prepared to spend a good amount with drinks and the food.

Overall, it's a great date place, great place to hang out get great cocktails and good food. I love that everyone comes pretty well dressed, and everyone looks like theyre enjoying the food and having a good time.

It can be pretty loud because the place is small, but it's definitely a place to go!

    Victor Tango, you impressed me!

The food and atmosphere is 5 stars. I enjoyed the Ahi tuna nachos and lamb lollipops. It is pricey for small plates so it is best to order 3-4 for 2 people and share in order to get  a real sample of the food.  For dessert, they brought us an amazing warm sticky toffee cake. It is HUGE and you need to share. I literally would pay major money for this recipe. Get the dessert even if you are stuffed. You will not regret this decision.

If you are married to a big guy who likes a lot of food this place is probably not the best place to take him because he will need at least 3 orders just for himself to be full. I say this because I am married to one. My husband would call this place "chick food". BUT the Lord knows I love my chick food.

I go with the girls. The bar is always crowded and the wait is long so make a reservation or wait at the bar with little elbow space but  this is a good thing if you are single. ;)

Great food, even better drinks and an amazing atmosphere = a must try!

I've been here countless times and never been let down. Sure, it can get crowed - but that's what the bar is for! Their bartenders are super friendly and seem to actually love making fun cocktails for girls who say "make me something girly!" ;)

Must tries on the menu include the bone marrow, mini chicken and waffles and ahi tuna nachos. I suggest going with a group of friends and ordering things to share.

Because of the share-plates, it's a great place for birthday parties, girls nights out and of course a romantic date.

Victor Tango's gets an A+ for atmosphere and its late night kitchen service, but I thought the food was lacking a bit.

We started with the Ahi Tuna Nachos and the Italian Flatbread (special of the day).  The nachos were the best thing we ate:  much more tuna than I expected with an excellent "tangy but not spicy" sauce on top.  But the flatbread seemed as though it had been cooked earlier and left to sit out a bit before reaching our table.

After that, we figured we had to try the famous Chicken and Waffles (which is not on the menu, oddly enough).  The chicken and sauce were amazing--and no bones is always a plus!  But the waffles were a touch on the hard side and very thin--almost like an Eggo waffle.  Still, when you put maple syrup on anything, it's bound to be delicious.

Maybe if you're more of a fan of mixed drinks than I am you would enjoy Victor Tango's a little more than I did, but it's still a neat place to check out if you want a really dinner after 9pm.

Being a vegetarian visiting Texas isn't easy. I was really impressed with the vegetarian dishes we chose at Victor Tango's. The flat bread was fresh, crisp and topped with asparagus cooked just right and high quality mushrooms. The cauliflower dish was also well composed and had a nice balance of flavours.

The cocktail menu was delightful. Fresh squeezed juices in every one. Divine! Good service and GREAT desserts. Nice big tables for groups. It was not too loud and price for quality very good!

Victor's is going to turn me into a lesbinem.

Hand to God, every girl that entered this restaurant was seven feet tall, three inches round, with long flowing hair and sassypants outfits. It was a scene straight out of Texas' Next Top Model. My male dining companions were morphing into Roger Rabbit as girl after girl sauntered into the joint with their sexy pouts and Jimmy Choo heels. Hell, even I turned into Roger Rabbit by the end of the meal.

Why was I in model heaven? Oh yes. Food. They serve that. And drinks. They have those, too. Neither went down very well, due to our tongues hanging down to the table... but we tried. And what we were able to swallow, we loved. And since there were eight of us, we tried most everything.

Victor's serves small plates and flatbreads, because models like eating little things and sharing. However this is Texas, and therefore there was nothing "small" about the small plates. I live in Chicago, therefore I can appreciate a ridiculously large small plate. Our favorites were the Ahi Tuna Nachos, Mussels with Thai Basil (swear there had to have been 40 mussels in that bowl), Sausage-Stuffed Calamari and the Cult favorite that's now off the menu- chicken and waffles. Petite, cute little boneless chicken tenders on even cuter round coins of waffles. Our waitress let us know we could still order the delicacy even though it was taken off the menu some time ago.

The cocktails were also wonderful. This gin kick I'm on is really working for me, and the French 75 was perfect with gin and prosecco and lime.

Come for the girls, stay for the food. Then stay a little longer for the girls.

    Well done, Victor. Well done.

It had been about 2 years since I last went to Victor Tangos and I was sadly disappointed with the Ahi Tuna Nachos I had on 2/22/13. The ahi tuna was like a small piece of slush on the chip.

The octopus salad was excellent and the hanger steak was served just as we ordered it to be cooked (medium rare).  The service was excellent and we will be back but probably not for the Ahi Tuna Nachos. A major draw for us was that the kitchen was open till 12 am and we like to eat late and avoid the crowds.

Love love love Victor Tangos! The specialty cocktails are amazing! The bartenders are super knowledgeable and just fun to watch! Especially when they're busy, it's impressive to see them make so many drinks at one time. With fresh fruit and house infused liquors going into almost every drink, this place is pricey but well worth it. They make some of the best cocktails I've ever had in my life.

If you go in when they aren't busy, sit at the bar. All the bartenders are incredibly knowledgeable and will conjure you up a custom drink that will really satisfy your palate. As a bartender myself in Austin, I have learned so much from these guys. Also, they give great service industry discounts on Mondays (1/2 off apps and cocktails.)  Have yet to try the chicken and waffles but if it's anything compared to their flat breads, I'm sure it's to die for!
VT is the first place I recommend to out of towners visiting Dallas. It is one of the few places in the area that actually makes Dallas look good as opposed to all the other yuppy uptown establishments nearby that give Dallas a horrible reputation. cough cough sfuzzi....

Sure the items on the menu have fanciful ingredients and all the right words but this place is both literally and figuratively windowless.

Literally in the sense that it has no windows and is cavernous.  Figuratively in the sense that the fair offers no view into the world of good food.

If that isn't enough for you, it's  got no parking (valet only) and overpriced.  You can try walking but will probably be hit by all the crazy mess of valet parking and people coming off the freeway in the area.

I need to make this perfectly clear:  this restaurant is absolutely undeniably amazing.

I was in Dallas on business and brought clients here for a dinner after work.

We ordered a little bit of everything on the menu and I promise with each bite we experienced a little bit of culinary heaven.

The Food:  Simply great.  The flavors aren't overly complex, but it's evident that the chef put a lot of thought into the menu.  There are a lot of ingredients involved in each dish, but its refreshing how the flavors marry to create a harmonious, flavorful union.  I've had the roasted homemade lamb sausage flat bread, ahi tuna nachos, the meat & cheese board, the bbq quail, crispy pork belly, tempura green beans, blistered shishito peppers and the lamb chops.  I would order any of these dishes again.

The Service:  Both times that I've visited this restaurant, the waitresses were great at their job.  We were quickly seated and our food was brought out promptly.  There were no major gaps in service, as the waitress made sure that she paid appropriate attention to our needs.

The Drinks:  Great. I like that there is a lot of thought that went into the cocktails.  I really wanted to try all of them, but because I had to be on my best behavior, I limited myself to two.  The Victor Tango and the Rum Old Fashioned were both incredible.

The Crowd:  A diverse, mixed crowd with many young professionals.

Overall, I thought this place was amazing each time that I came.  Both the service and the food are consistently excellent.

    B. Major Grade:  A+

I've been here twice now to try differnt food. The first time a date with a girlfriend and the second time for my bestfriends birthday. Both times I would say I had a great experience with the service. If you havea  large guest list about 15 or more, I would suggest to ask for maybe 2 servers if possible. Other than that, she was pretty fast for servicing 23 people.

I've tried the pork belly, canitas tacos, roasted marrow bones, crab mac and gratin, korean steak, lamb sausage flatbread, mussels in lemongrass sauce, lollypop lambchops, and their warm sticky toffee cake.

The first time I ate an asian infused pork belly which was really good and I was hoping for that flavor again. The second time i was hispanic infused, I would say it was good. I wouldn't order it again. It wasn't that I didn't like it, but it wasn't my favorite flavor. Maybe if they made it different way I would order it but not with the bbq lentils and verdes sauce.

The carnita tacos, I would prefer it a mexican taco stand.

Roasted marrow bones was more of an appetizer to me. it was really good like having butter with bread, but a higher end taste.

Crab gratin my husband liked it, but I wouldn't order it again. It was good to taste though. It was like mac and white cheese to me, but added with crab. Can be made back at home.

The korean steak was okay to me when I tried it from my friend. It wasn't as soft and moist. I would prefer eating korean flavor food than ordering that again here.

The lamb sausage flat bread was really good as an appetizer too. I loved the way they created the flatebread and it had just enough flavor and cheese. My brother in law ordered the wild mushroom one, but I didn't get a chance to taste it. He seemed to like it.

The mussels weren't flavored enough for me. I think it was a bit bland and needed more seasoning. If they made it spicy and more flavored I would probably order it when it has a new taste.

the lollupop lambs were pretty good. I loved how the flavors and sauces on it made the taste more vibrant. I probably wouldn't eat lamb itself without sauce. It has this smell and taste to me, but with sauces and the way they made it, I liked it!

Last buy not least, the toffee cake. Saved the best for last. I love the cake. It was one of the best, hot, soft, melted in your melt taste I would go back for! Order it, you will not regret eating it.

My favorite meals combine a creative, varied menu with inventive cocktails.  That describes my Victor Tango's experience...well, to a T.

We went before a show, arriving at 6:00 on a Friday.  If your goal is to beat the dinner rush, that's definitely the way to do it.  The waitress gave us the smart advice of ordering our small plates individually, since the nearly-empty dining area meant we'd get our food quickly.  That way we could easily gage how much was "enough."

There were 2 of us and we were starved when we got there (having skipped lunch).  We ended up with 3 small plates, a vegetable and a split dessert.  Everything was fantastic. It's hard for me to choose my favorite of the 3 small plates: ahi nachos, hangar steak and chicken and waffles.  Each was very different and brought something extra to the meal.  I'm glad we went down the menu in order (the small plates are arranged lightest to heaviest), as it meant a nice transition to the next dish.

The hangar steak came with a side of broccolini and we also got some brussel sprouts.  Both were also delicious.  Our dessert of chai pumpkin panna cotta was the perfect light finish.

Equally impressive to the food were the cocktails and beer selection.  I asked the waitress for her recommendation and ended up with a dark and stormy for my first drink.  At first I thought the ginger was a bit overpowering, but after I got used to it, found the drink amazing.  For my second drink I decided to go with their special that night, a drink mixing gin, champagne and muddle strawberries.  While it was nice, it seemed bland after my first drink.  In hindsight I should have reversed the order of my drinks. They have a nice local craft beer selection on tap, which my boyfriend ordered from for his first drink.  He got a cocktail for his second drink that he enjoyed, but I found too strong for me.

Service was excellent and the valet parking much appreciated, as that area can be difficult to park in.
