Zig Zag never comes to mind when I'm in "where should we eat" mode. But it should... and my new year's resolution is gonna be to eat here more often.
I've been here three times before shows @ the Biograph and everyone I've dined with has been delighted.
Casual, affordable, and--most importantly--fresh, from-scratch eats. BYOB with no corkage fee (it's true!).
Try the tangy chicken pasta dish for a calorie-laden treat. The spinach side dish was a real hit on my latest visit. The southwest chicken salad and a beautiful salmon entree were equally well-received.
Zig Zag kitchen makes some really great salads. My salad was HUGE, so I could have it for two meals. I love having leftovers! The BYOB aspect of the restaurant was convenient as well. I love being able to drink at a restaurant and not having to pay $6 for a draft beer.
We were there on a Saturday evening, and it was not busy at all! There were only 2 other tables filled, which made me a little nervous. It seems like Zig Zag does a pretty good take out business though.
Other people in my group ordered pizzas and pastas, which they also raved about. All in all, Zig Zag makes some pretty great food, well portioned, and reasonably priced!
