I had dinner there a couple of weeks ago and haven't had a chance to write a review, so here goes: Â This restaurant, located in a primo location on Wilton Drive, is the diviest of dives that you can imagine in such a relatively upscale area. Â The exterior is a shambles; nevertheless, it certainly is authentic to something you'd find on the dusty streets of Tijuana, Mexico! Â The interior is scary, to say the least: Â Dark and dingy, almost cave-like, esp. towards the kitchen area; I was afraid to see what might scurry across the floor had they turned the lights up! Â (Seriously!) Â That said, hey, I've been in worse in Third World countries, so, as long as the food is good, I can deal with it. Â To be honest, I simply don't recall what I ordered, but I do remember that everything was decent: Â not good, not bad, just decent. Â The wait staff seemed to barely speak English, and unnervingly hid in the shadows, just barely perceptible, but lurking almost sinisterly. Â (Okay, my imagination is a bit vivid; but, I swear this isn't hyperbole!) Â Even the bottle of Mexican beer tasted a bit deflated. Â Odd, I thought. Â Anyway, that was my first time experience at Acapulco Lindo. Â Now comes the worse: Â It appears that A.L. has had over 25+ health inspection violations over numerous months, and who knows how far back! Â Egads! Â Was I shocked? Â Yes. Â Was I surprised? Â In hindsight, I suppose I should've known better. Â Better luck next time....
Review Source:Wow, what an experience. Â Never been to a Mexican restaurant in USA that is too Mexican. Â It's a hole in the wall, a place u might find in rural area of Mexico. Â They probably never redone anything since the 70s. Â The parking is plentiful in the back. Â
My friends like this place and the food is very good and very cheap. Â But it's a place I typically don't think about unless friends want to go there. Â They have two types of salsa-hot and mild. They are very good. Â This time I ordered steak fajita and it never failed me its very good. Â Only con I have is they don't give u guacamole with the fajita just sour cream. Â The service is always good. Â The waitresses there are very sweet.
