Great food for a great price!!! The drink specials are very cheap and arnt skimped on the liquor.   The place is a whole in the wall and is a little cheesy, but don't let that scare you away I really did enjoy the food!

I had dinner there a couple of weeks ago and haven't had a chance to write a review, so here goes:  This restaurant, located in a primo location on Wilton Drive, is the diviest of dives that you can imagine in such a relatively upscale area.  The exterior is a shambles; nevertheless, it certainly is authentic to something you'd find on the dusty streets of Tijuana, Mexico!  The interior is scary, to say the least:  Dark and dingy, almost cave-like, esp. towards the kitchen area; I was afraid to see what might scurry across the floor had they turned the lights up!  (Seriously!)  That said, hey, I've been in worse in Third World countries, so, as long as the food is good, I can deal with it.  To be honest, I simply don't recall what I ordered, but I do remember that everything was decent:  not good, not bad, just decent.  The wait staff seemed to barely speak English, and unnervingly hid in the shadows, just barely perceptible, but lurking almost sinisterly.  (Okay, my imagination is a bit vivid; but, I swear this isn't hyperbole!)  Even the bottle of Mexican beer tasted a bit deflated.  Odd, I thought.  Anyway, that was my first time experience at Acapulco Lindo.  Now comes the worse:  It appears that A.L. has had over 25+ health inspection violations over numerous months, and who knows how far back!  Egads!  Was I shocked?  Yes.  Was I surprised?  In hindsight, I suppose I should've known better.  Better luck next time....

Wow, what an experience.  Never been to a Mexican restaurant in USA that is too Mexican.  It's a hole in the wall, a place u might find in rural area of Mexico.  They probably never redone anything since the 70s.  The parking is plentiful in the back.

My friends like this place and the food is very good and very cheap.  But it's a place I typically don't think about unless friends want to go there.  They have two types of salsa-hot and mild. They are very good.  This time I ordered steak fajita and it never failed me its very good.  Only con I have is they don't give u guacamole with the fajita just sour cream.  The service is always good.  The waitresses there are very sweet.

This was our first time to experience this place. We were in Wilton Manors and decided to try this place out. The margarita's were good. It went down hill from there. If you have the dubious "honor" of going, DO NOT ASK FOR CHEESE DIP! I asked the waitress if they carried cheese dip. She stated "we have the yellow." I agreed to try it. It was nothing but melted cheddar cheese that had been watered down! OMG are you kidding me? Large portions are dolled out only to mask the dull taste of the food delivered. Once the waitress delivered the food, WE NEVER SAW HER AGAIN. Both my partner and myself had finished our drinks when she delivered the food and never once did she give us the opportunity to order more drinks nor even offer us some water! Crap food. Crap service. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY.  One more thing, they don't believe in running the air conditioner. It was stifling hot in there. I will never be back. Never return there and would rather eat dirt than to ever have to experience that shit hole again. Very unhappy with service and food. Money wasted

The food is basic and passable for the price.  But the inside of the restaurant is just depressing - dark, no music, nothing colorful on the walls - its like an old YMCA with some tables set up.  Given the basic to mediocre food, they need to at least make it more fun to eat there with some attention to what the place looks like.

The margaritas were surprisingly good - and the waitress was certainly nice --- but the overall atmosphere was a downer.

Acapulco Lindo is for the frugal minded as it's an inexpensive (read cheap) stomach filling (read lots of rice) Mexican (you get chips with two salsas) food that won't make you sick. Other than that, there isn't much to say about this old but reliable Wilton Manor neighborhood style restaurant.  It's been around for a long time and is more than beginning to show its age. The floors, the furniture, the bulky old dated (no flat screen, but in color) television, the worn plastic menu covers (often sticky....some yellowing...be sure to wash your hands) all indicate that this is an old gal sorely in need of some new lipstick.

No sense me going through the varied menu items. This is no Eduardo De San Angel (Fort Lauderdale's Five Star Mexican) and all of the menu items are exactly the same as in any one of our dozens of other Mexican restaurants, except less costly.

In short, Acapulco is a simple no glam, no pizazz, no panache Mexican (with some Cuban offerings) restaurant that has OK food and OK service at a more than OK bargain basement of a price. One thing that does set it apart and above a couple of its budget Mexican competitors however is the fact, proved to myself by sneaking a peek, that their kitchen appears to be clean as well as orderly.

I only gave it two stars because the starry Yelp system says three stars ='s "A-OK." Acapulco is, as I've said OK, but not quite up to an "A-OK" and yes, I have experienced price proportionally better, though I am reluctant to admit, at Taco Bell.

HOLY CRAP. This place is a total shit hole. Food was ok. Sat in a dark corner so the annoying kids from the family a few tables away would leave us alone. Menu had mystery sticky stains on it. Food was alright. Had to watch Spanish TV since it was the only thing on. I'd sooner be caught leaving a dog fight than be seen exiting from here.  If you're gonna do it, wear a hat and sunglasses.

Went here for lunch as we try to expand our knowledge of ethnic places to dine.It is very casual and simple with a menu for lunch that includes soup and a soft drink with entree which for me was the red burrito with chicken.Everything was fresh, and they had 2 salsa, hot and regular.Lunch for 2 with tax was .........11.20.My partner had the bean burrito.I am looking forward to going back.I suppose this place existed before the whole gayborhood wilton thing started.Lets hope they remain where they are.

Service was fast, food was good and cheap, and the beer was cold.  Everyone keeps saying it's a dive which I can kind of see but it's similar decor to many other great Mexican restaurants.  This is a place to come with alot of people, grab a long table, and get rowdy.

What a good little lunch spot!  My sister-in-law comes here for lunch a lot, so I had guidance on what to order.  She had the fajitas (that looked really good!) and I had the verde burrito (yum!).  The salsa was nice and fresh and the chips were perfectly salty and a little greasy (the way I like them).  For $6-8, you get your entree, drink and soup.  Pretty good deal.  The SIL was on crutches and the servers all came over to ask her what happened and how she was feeling.  Very nice.  Not much in the way of atmosphere, but it is a-ok for a quick lunch.

btw... they re-did the bathroom.  It smells like fresh paint and is certainly do-able, if not luxurious.

I'm going to have to agree with Edwin H. on this one.  Went there because we wanted authentic mexican and it was cheap. I would have had a better meal at a taco cart in MX.  The best thing i can say about this place is that the salsa was good and the beer was cold. Other than that, its not worth the calories. We got the supreme fajitas (chicken, beef, shrimp) - it all tasted the same "BLAND".
the service was bad and the waitress acted like she would rather be somewhere else. No atmosphere to speak of.

Before I go on about the food in this place, let's get one thing out of the way. Acapulco Lindo is definitely a complete dive (I have brought quite a few friends there who had plenty of snarky remarks about the looks and the feel of this place - before they tried my favorite menu items), and if you have something against not-so-classy establishments, you're better off staying away.

That said, if you are more of the Anthony Bourdain adventurous type, willing to put up with the (lack of) atmosphere, you might actually like this place because they do have a few items on their menu that are quite fabulous.

I started going to this place when I lived in Fort Lauderdale many years ago (way before Wilton Manors became what it is today) and if I happen to be in the area and in the mood for a mean Picadillo, I always stop by.

You'd think that finding good Picadillo (ground beef sauteed in spices) in Miami would be an easy task. Not so, my friend. But somehow this little dive in Fort Lauderdale has perfected theirs. Not only is it never dry as is the case with many restaurants but it is also very flavorful and has the added bonus of raisins which makes it absolutely delicious.

Another hit in this place is the salsa which always tastes like a delicious medley of FRESH tomatoes, garlic and cilantro, a nice change from Mexican places that serve salsas that taste like they come from a jar. Mild or spicy (very spicy!) - they're equally delicious!

A few other noteworthy items: the Fajitas, the Carne Asada, the Chicken Palomilla and the Verde Burrito.

Overall, this is a great little place to occasionally bring unpretentious friends for a great, quick and inexpensive meal that will leave you stuffed silly.

This is a place where you take a bf or gf that you don't want to be seen with...and also if you are cheap!
The food is just average, no atmosphere, no taste..just plain scary cantina looking.

    Good salsa.

Its a Mexican place with Cuban food. Its not all that authentic but it was average & cheap. Just a very basic menu with burritos, enchiladas, tacos, carnitas, arroz con pollo, etc. It was not bad but very generic. I tried the chile relleno not good & very eggy (that's a first), hard beef taco (how tex-mex can you get) couldn't go wrong, chicken enchilada good, guacamole blah, but my friend had some shredded pork which was tasty. There just wasn't any true hardcore Mexican options so I was disappointed.

How Mexican is Mexican when they don't have Horchata!

Yep...a good three star Mexican restaurant.  This is the second time I have had the Hot and Spicy Beef Burrito.  It tastes very good.  The flavor of the habanero mole on the flour tortilla encased beef is simple and good.

The cheese dip, though, it is just Velveeta and not very pleasant.

I would never recommend this place to anyone.  It isn't pretty, the food is questionable, and you should never use the bathroom.

That said, I AM one of their regulars.  The food is surprisingly decent - that is if any of the following could be used as an adjective to describe yourself:

Hungry, frugal (poor), hungover, lacking of all modern taste, inclined to tacky homemade furnishings, hiding from the paparazzi, or keeping out of sight due to the mismatched selection you dressed your sleep deprived body in today.

Super duper cheap (under $5 for entree & drink).  Regular to super regular mexican dishes.  Ample parking, never much of a crowd, dim lighting.

    Perfect for a recovery lunch.

This restaurant has a very informal relaxed atmosphere, the staff are friendly. The food itself is consistently average with very great prices - it is nothing to rave about but always a winner when wanting to grab a quick bite.
