Lunch special...2 pieces of pizza and pop.. five bucks
Small but nice place...I guess this is a popular chain on the south side suburbs...it was a good slice of Pizza and the guy showed pride in his store and the history of Aurelios. Â Piping hot slices too, which were quite delectable.
I did read other reviews on how it was kinda expensive...but it IS Naperville am I right?
Used to be our go-to, until they quietly (and significantly) raised their prices. We noticed our typical bill had creeped up a bit, and pulled out an older menu and compared it to one I grabbed on my last visit, and sure enough...they went up. Way up.
The base prices on the pizzas and toppings both went up, so now a typical order of a pizza with a few toppings will be $4-5 more or so.
Aurelio's was always OK for the price, if a little overrated, but at these prices? No freakin' way. Go sell crazy somewhere else, guys. Now we might as well pony up the extra couple of bucks for Lou Malnati's, or find a new go-to cheap pizza joint.
We're done.
