I've had a few dishes from here so far and they've all been delicious. Definitely one of the best Chinese places I've eaten from (that's still reasonably priced ie. no overpriced sit-downs).
What I like is the dishes had a simple and rich taste. Unlike a lot of Chinese places in America which drown the dishes with sauces (and I'm sure MSG), this place left the ingredients alone so I could taste the shrimp, the vegetables, etc. The sauce was subtle and added some kick but definitely didn't overpower the individual ingredients.
I had the orange shrimp, the fried rice, and one of the vegetable dishes. The shrimp was my favorite: big juicy pieces with orange rinds. The fried rice is the best I've had: it's not too salty and has a rich but not overpowering flavor. Way better than Trader Joe's fried rice (obviously), but also better than other Chinese restaurants' fried rice I've eaten. The vegetable dish was good but I didn't like as much as the shrimp and fried rice - maybe it was too simple and I expected a bit more kick or something special to it.
I highly recommend the orange shrimp or fried rice to start off with.
Oh, and the egg rolls - wow, was I surprised. No joke the tastiest egg roll I've ever eaten. The hint of cinnamon was that subtle extra kick that did it for me. I've gotten egg rolls each subsequent time.
To the one-star reviewer, I can only picture that they just didn't like what they ordered or if Woklicious happened to slip up on that order. I've been to taquerias on a consistent basis where I've gotten the same burrito and one time something was off about it, so I can imagine even the best of us screw up occasionally.
I can say that the dishes I've eaten from Woklicious so far have all been great.
Again, try the orange shrimp or fried rice with an egg roll. Delicious.
