Fiammé

So the best Napoleon Pizza is in the Italian section of New Haven Connecticut on Wooster Street, but if you can't be there you should be at Fiamme.

The crust was done exactly how it should be and the sausage had fennel, a requirement for a pizza topping.

The wait staff was terrific.  We went on a quiet snowy night.  Can't wait to until the weather gets warmer and be able to sit outside on their front patio.

Growing pains is the best description.  

Food can't be faulted.  The wedge salad was crisp and flavorful.  Pizza reminds me of  New York, wood fired delicious.  

The service needs attention.   To be fair we did not make a reservation so there was a 40 minute wait on a Friday night according to the hostess.  Fortunately seats at the bar opened up just as we arrived so my wife and I opted to wait, told the Hostess to look for us at the bar.  Our bartender was in training so it took a little while for my wife's wine and my beer to arrive as our trainee had to keep consulting with the busy experienced bartender.  After about 45 minutes of waiting I checked with the Hostess on our table only to find she had forgotten us.  To her credit she was very apologetic and got us seating very quickly afterward.

We will try the place again, hopefully the service will improve.

Great with kids, excellent well focused menu.  Quick service, efficient staff.
