Me and my wife had guests from another country and we decided to look online to find an exceptional steakhouse nearby. We found this Ted's Grill and going through the reviews it seemed like worth trying.
I know it's a long review but I truly hope it will help some of you avoid a big dining mistake.
First of all let me start by saying that who gives nice reviews to this place has absolutely no clue of what a nice dining experience is and a very vague idea of what good food is in general.
We entered the place and at the entrance there was a manager and a host working. They see us entering but neither acknowledged our presence. We figured they were busy and we don't like to bother so we decided to wait. After a few minutes another group enters and they pass right in front of us and go talk to the host. We figured they might have had a reservation so we wait still. After a few minutes another group comes in and they do the same thing, this time we hear that they just ask for a table and the host puts them on a list. At that point we realized that we had to go and ask to be sat down. We do that and after 20 minutes and the two groups who arrived after us, we get set.
The waitress was nice, the food was nothing but mediocre and pricey. They didn't bring us any complimentary bread although they did when we asked for some. The buffalo steak everybody mentions is nothing but a mediocre steak in any way more flavorful then a nice beef steak although they charge a lot for one. Same goes with the buffalo burger, nothing special, grilled in a mediocre way and served on a cold. not toasted bun.
For the price we paid, this place should have ZERO customers. It makes absolutely no sense to dine here. It is so blend and mediocre that you are much better off going to Texas Roadhouse or Longhorn Steakhouse. Same if not better quality, complimentary bread, much cheaper prices and much better greeting.
Went there on a Thursday night and it was very busy. Â We were lucky enough to get a table with a short wait. Â For the 1st time in my life, I tried the bison burger. Â It tasted slightly different than a "regular" burger, and I liked it. Â You have to try it once. Â Service was above average. Â The only downside was as we were leaving, we saw a crowd of people waiting.
Review Source:Ted's is consistent, tasty and the restaurant itself just has a good "feel" to it. Â The food is nothing extra special but it's solid - reliable, not too overpriced and something on the menu for everyone. Â The service is impeccable. Â And the layout of the restaurant feels very private even though it's quite small.
