Grandma Sallys Waffle & Pancake House

Stopped by for lunch. I ordered the meat lasagna.  They were not very busy and the waitress took my order quickly. Side salad arrived quickly with the "house Greek". It was moderately fresh and the house dressing was "OK". My lasagna arrived in a big bowl. It was not warm and sent back.

It was not as I expected. Instead of a "square" slice of lasagna this was more like a mix of pasta, ricotta cheese, and sauce topped off with cheese and baked under a salamander. More like a baked spaghetti.

Flavor was on a par with a low cost frozen entree. Sauce was watery and without much flavor. Tabasco helped. The cheese melted on top was flavorful, but honestly...it wasn't very good at all. Meat sauce has little meat. Do yourself a favor and skip this place. One star because the waitress was attentive, but  guy taking my cash couldn't care less...

I have eaten here a half dozen times as a last minute resort...not that good I def would recommend somewhere else for breakfast food.

I arrived just after they opened and only one other customer was there. They weren't very attentive to my needs and I had to ask for water and a refill of coffee. The eggs weren't very warm and the butter was so cold that it took 10 min. to melt in the grits. By then they were cold. Waitress didn't show up till after I had finished and asked to heat them up. They overcooked them and had to wait to eat them, as they would have burnt me otherwise. It had been several years since I had been here. Just nothing special to make it in here on any type regular basis.
