Nice place...located inside an industrial park. Â Fad some seating...2 video arcade games (MORTAALL KOOOOMBAAT!)
I dont think I remember Rosatis selling slices.....but these guys did....I think it was 3.80 I paid for a slice and a soda (or water if they were out...which they were when I went...no biggie) Â But I liked it. Â Lots of parking and the inside decore is cool witht he menu on the wall and a couple of black and white photos adorning other parts of the store.
Good slice....no oregano in front with the condiments if you l ike it like I do.
Now one thing...you can enter the park by the side street...the main street doesn't have an entrance otherwise you have to pass the viaduct and turn around I guess.
I have never been a huge fan of Rosati's. I'm not really big on their thin crust, and I definitely prefer other pizzerias for the pan dish or the deep dish. I had a Groupon though, and so decided to give this particular location the benefit of the doubt and venture over.
After I placed my online order for pick-up, I was surprised that the site said I only had a 20 min wait. I called to confirm and the receptionist explains as-a-matter-of-fact-ly that I owed $2 more than what the site stated and the wait would actually be closer to 40 min. I thought that was weird but no big deal.
So now, I am driving along trying to find this Rosati's with much difficulty. Perhaps it was too dark or my GPS was misleading me, but I drove past it a couple times and had to circle through into a neighborhood to get back on track. In spite of my typically adventure-loving spirit, I didn't find this especially fun since I was really quite hungry. I kept the eye on my reward though (the pizza) and tried to stay positive.
Finally, I arrive and the woman at the register is on the phone, and so I wait patiently. When she is done, I offer her a friendly smile and request for my pick-up. She doesn't say a word; just simply turns around to retrieve the pizza. I hand her the Groupon and she looks at it with SUCH exasperation and says, "You should have told me on the phone that you have a Groupon so I can ring it up correctly."
After she was done chastising me, she "corrects" the order (which literally took less than 20 seconds). I pay the difference and wish her a friendly "good night" and, shockingly, her stone face finally breaks into somewhat of a nice smile.
The pizza was okay, kind of too salty for my taste, so my feelings towards Rosati's pizzas in general has NOT changed. Due to the awful service alone, I do NOT intend on returning to this Rosati's location again.
Not a fan of Rosati's thin crust in general so we tried this location for the first time and got their meat combo pizza with a double dough crust. Turned out to be a really good pizza. The 16" pizza weighed about 10 pounds with the mountain of meat and cheese. The double dough crust is the way to go to avoid their cracker thin crust.
