Portillo's Hot Dogs

Hey what can I say I like this place even though I always order the same thing everytime i go...Italian beef sandwich with sweet peppers. Everytime we venture to Aurora, we have to make a stop here. My aunt actually turned me on to this place with her unconditional love for Italian beef. It's always busy there however the employees try to move it along as smooth as possible. The sandwich itself is pretty good and can be bland if you don't add the sweet peppers because the beef is not seasoned.  I find the sandwich to be much better when they don't dip the sandwich in the gravy due to the reason I always get my food to go. The one time I had the sandwich dipped and made it back to my relatives house to consume it, the bread was sloppy soggy. So I would recommend having it dipped in the gravy if you are dining in. On my next visit to Portillo's i may roll up my sleeves and try some of their other dishes.

Great hot dogs. They have one of the best drive thru systems I've ever seen. The service is pretty good, although most of the people working the drive-thru are young kids. This place gets extremely busy, but they have a way of keeping the lines moving and I've never had to wait long for food.

The best Portillos, but it's always packed.  The drive thru has a constant line.  And there are two lanes!  But the food is conistently good.  Barnellis offers different food items (Chicken Portabella and Chicken Panini) that most other Portillo's don't offer.
