Bamboo Beach Tiki Bar & Cafe

This place COULD be amazing as it's located right on the beach, not across the street from the beach, but on the actual beach itself. However, it leaves much to be desired. This place is an extremely poorly run, sleazy dive bar, with questionable clientele, that just happens to be located in an open air tiki hut on the beach which is it's only redeeming quality.

I would give this place negative stars if I could. This was absolutely the worst service I have ever gotten from ANY kind of establishment. I am not a blogger, foodie, or anything of the sort. In fact this is my very first review EVER.  

A couple of us went here to watch the NBA finals game. After sitting there for about 40 minutes being ignored, we finally went up to the bar to order our food and drinks. Ordered a couple appetizers and a pizza. It didn't take long for us to get our food, and that might be the only nice thing I can say about this place. The appetizers were okay at best. The pizza, however, had something on it that was spoiled. It just smelled and tasted sour. The smell just permeated the air around our table so bad that we had to move it away from our table top all together. There was only two bites in the whole pie while it was just sitting there.  

Now you would think this would've been a clear cut sign to anyone working there that there was something wrong with our food. At one point we tried to flag down one of the waiters walking by our table. He basically told us that we weren't his table and were pretty much not his problem. It wasn't until a few minutes into the 4th quarter that somebody asked if everything was okay. Now, we got our food just after the start of the second quarter. If you don't watch basketball, that's a very long time. Eventually a manager comes by and attempts to do a cop out. Says how his staff dropped the ball and how stuff like this never happens. Tells us that the reason we didn't have a waiter was because we ordered from the bar. That was the statement of the night that is the motivation behind this review. He even says how he was going to get our table a round of shots to make up for it. Guess what, THE SHOTS NEVER CAME!  

My suggestion, go somewhere else. There are a thousand other bars in the same area with the same beach view but with better food and undoubtedly better service.

Great view, good food and tasty drinks.  Everytime I'm in the area, I always make a point to stop by.  Originally saw this place on the TV show 'Bar Rescue'.  It's a relaxing and casual spot.  It does not disappoint.
