Discovered this place when showing family around Pasadena for their first real visit. Had the beef plate, the we ordered were flavorful, and portions were generous. We were all stuffed, and had to drag ourselves away from the table.
I will come back to this place, but not sure about the bar section, The times that I've passed by on weekends, it seems packed.
It was a little confusing as we started in Bar Celona and ending up being seated at a Italian restaurant - the Bar is just a bar - but we were able to have several small plates which were delicious and perfect for our meal - and they have a Malbec that is excellent - wish I could remember the name but besides the bit of confusion the Italian Spanish was great
Review Source:I came here for a dinner set menu. Â Yummy tapas & Sangria wine. Very relaxed, chill environment. The setting is somewhat outdated and old. Â It could be a bit hard to find this place if you don't pay careful attention to the door and the sign. Â The appetizer seafood plate had a variety of mussel, crab legs, clams and oyster. Â They look good but the quality was not there and didn't taste fresh. Â I had Paella Valenciana which is their signature dish. Â I probably would give it 3.5 stars out of 5. Â It is moist and the taste was good but not to a Zagat level. Â The room was also so dark that I had a hard time seeing my dish and didn't really know what I ate until I was able to taste the food in my mouth. Â The rice pudding however was very good. Â Overall, it is a good normal dinner spot but I'd not bring friends here to be impressive.
