I treated some friends visiting from England to brunch at The Scarlett Tea Room and used Groupons that were offered online. From the time we called to make reservations, checked in, and all during our dining experience, we were reminded that there was only one groupon per table and they were "accommodating" us. They made my friends feel like second class citizens--asking for a handout. Our waiter, Marcus, looked down his nose during our entire dining experience--as did the Hostess. We were told the Groupons were not good on the weekends, and yet they accepted our reservations. If they don't want Groupon business, then they should not offer them. This was my friends last day here. I fear they returned home with a bad taste in their mouths.

Bought a voucher from Travelzoo $25 Afternoon Tea for two. 3 course meal.

The Service: Walk in the restaurant, the host stand is right next to the front door. They really maximize the store space and put as many table/chairs they can. One table is only a step away from the front door. One table is right next to the host stand. There are 4 parties arriving at the same time. We all cramp at the door way because we all are waiting for the host to check in our reservation and seat us. It was uncomfortable standing at the door way with 8 other people. Only one host seating us.... :(

Only one server taking orders, she has great personality and very friendly. Big smile on her face all the time, I feel very welcomed. However, she has to take care up to 8 tables at the same time while I am there. Service might be slow. Only one busboy serving the food and clean up the table.

The Food: Afternoon Tea 3 course meal. One scone, 4 tiny sandwiches (2 bites each) and small bowl of slice strawberry with wipe cream one top, small pot of tea. Regular price is $27. I think it is way over priced!! The scone and the sandwiches are tasty; however the portion of the food is definitely not worth $27. After the meal.... I am still hungry!!

The Parking: Public Parking Structure (Green St. & Fair Oaks) 90 minutes free.

I took my little sister here for her sweet 16th birthday. It was both our very first time having "tea time" and we both loved it.

Made reservations a week in advance and they are pretty booked. I suggest you plan ahead because they are very busy.

Once you walk into the restaurant, everything is so classy and fancy looking from the pretty shiny chandelier and pretty tables with cute little tea pots.

We got seated pretty fast, it was not packed when we went in on a Saturday afternoon.

The stacks of different plates filled with food looked so pretty and awesome. We started off with the scones. OMG!!!...i was speechless because it was that good. the outside was kinda crunchy and the inside was warm and soo moist! It went so well with the jam and the cream! i kept putting more the jam Wish they kinda gave more scones.

The sandwiches were pretty good. Pretty decent sizes. At first, i would think that little sandwiches like these wouldn'e be filling but it sure was once you get to half of them.  I forgot which ones we had but i say they were all good!

The desserts on the other hand didn't impress me much. It was just regular little pices of chocolate cake that i just took a bit and didn't finish.

Overall, i think the services was good. I would come back here again in the future. Maybe for my birthday with the girls! =]
