a girlfriend of mine raved about this restaurant but a different location (downtown) so we swung by after a girls night out trip to the movies. we (along w/another random couple) waited for a table for a good while til a none too happy irritated stick up her butt must've woke up on the wrong side of the bed server/hostess/employee (whatever her title was) decided to motioned us to follow her w/her finger - assuming she wasnt much in the mood to ask if we've been there before.
finally sat down in a booth w/plenty of elbow room, we waited for another 10 mins til our server approached us for drinks. Â another none too happy server who forced a smile on her face (considering it was only 5pm on a slow saturday night - bengals vs houston on the big screen tvs). Â we started w/spinach & artichokes dip - eeeh i've had better, though their warm pita bread was pretty tasty i will admit. Â i ordered the crab cakes ($14.99) served over wild rice. Â what a mistake it was!!!!!! NEVER ever EVER go to a brewery & order a supposed 'authentic' seafood dish. Â my pt of view is if you're going to list an entree on the menu (especially crab cakes), can it at least taste like it, rather it tasting like the oil that the crabs were deep fried in??!!!!!! YUCK yuck yuck!!! server came back, too pleasant this time, asking how it was. Â i made a 'i'm not sure this will agree w/me in 20 mins' kinda face, she insisted it was HER fav! uuuh huuuuuh. trying to man-up for what i ordered & should finish my meal, after 3 bites from the crab cakes & my iced tea needed to be refilled - i knew it was time for me to send it back to the kitchen & order something else..........
my friend ordered a spinach burger w/GARLIC fries. Â i grabbed a few of her garlic fries & they were DEEEEELIIICIOOOOOUS!!!!!!!! yuuuum! Â the garlic wasnt powering at all!! finally for desert: bourbon pudding cake. YUUUUUM.
in the end this was a restaurant i tried out and i dont think iiiiiii'll come back..............weeeeell maybe for the garlic fries BUT not so much the crab cakes.
