Back in my days as an east sider, we ordered delivery from either Bob and Jacks or Giappos. Â When we wanted a tangy sauce, greasy cheese and a thin, coal-dusted crust, we ordered from here. Â My family in the area still probably pays 25% of their operating costs buying pizza from this joint. Â Honestly though, I preferred Giappos and lament their closing.
Review Source:Green peppers and pepperoni at it's best! Â Probably my favorite East Side pizza joint.
I was starving and had no food to eat. Â My girlfriend called me to make dinner plans and mentioned that she had pepperoni pizza for lunch. Â Boy was I hungry, and with the pizza seed planted in my belly, I got off the phone and called up Bob & Jacks for my own pepperoni pizza.
They told me it would be 45 mins for delivery of my medium green pepper and peperoni pizza. Â And I'll tell you, that estimate was spot on. Â 45 mins later the bell rang.
The pizza smelled great. Â I hadn't had Bob & Jacks pizza for a long while... we're talking years here. Â There wasn't much of a crust on the pizza, but what you can see of it was nicely toasted (a lil on the burnt side, but just the edge, and it made the crust taste great acutally).
The green peppers where nice size chunks sitting on top of the cheese. Â Under the cheese was a good layer of pepperoni on top of the sauced crust.
After a few bites, I told myself that this is what green peppers and pepperoni pizza should taste like! Â The green peppers where nice and juicy, and there was a crisp bite to them... they were cooked to perfection. Â The pepperoni blended well with the tangy spicy sauce. Â It was a melody of favors in my mouth. Â I ate more then half the pizza!
I took a photo with my phone, but I forgot to save it :( Â I'll update after my next order. Â Oh there will be more! :D
