Really had a good time!  Yes the bar is a little on the rough side....however...it was an interesting time for sure.  My sister and I went to see a band that was playing there last night...Virtual Campfire.  When we went in it was a small local pool bar...2 pool tables...a little bright...the crowd was intteresting.  It suddenly went through a transformation in 15mins..it was cool to see.  I believe a part owner-Chantel-was all over it transforming this bright pool bar to a comfy candlelit music venue...she took down the lights..covered the pool tables, they put up a stage, dimmed the lights and she put candles all over and wallah...it was this cool comfortable space and the band rocked it!!  First time I've seen them...5 guys with a 6th guy this night...just jammed...great original music..you could see how much fun they were having..the crowd loved them...it was just a REALLY good time!!  They played for an hour and a half...no cover...and it was just ALOT of fun!!  The bartender was classy.  She and the owner were beautiful..I was like..what are these two doing in this place?  The place needs a little cleaning up but I just thought it was alot of fun... I would definitely go there again if this band was  playing.  I think they should make it  a music venue all the time in my opinion.  It was a transformation from the minute we walked in to how it was when the band started.  Like the peanuts....and did I say the band was OUTSTANDING.  Great music last night!!
Review Source:Bogey's is a local sports/dive bar, plain & simple. It features the most flat screen HDTV's of any bar on the Artesia strip. They have two pool tables and a couple of arcade games, one being Big Buck Hunter; one of my favorites! You can also play the CA lotto if that interests you.
They have a well rounded selection of liquor and nine beers on draft. Excellent selection of tequila! The prices are reasonable and they often offer drink specials. The Kings Stanley Cup watch parties were fun, $1 shots every time the Kings scored! Only catch was you had to wear Kings gear in order to get the special; kept the bandwagon fans away though!
They also offer Comedy night on the last Tuesday of every month. Surprisingly they have some pretty good acts. Best part is there's no cover to enter! Last week they even had a DJ, which was pretty cool!
Compared to the other bars on the Artesia strip, Bogey's definitely has them beat, price, quality, selection, and atmosphere. Stop in for a brew or two.
If youre looking for a great local "dive" bar this is it!! Bogeys is redondo's best where "everyone kinda knows your name" sports bar! it doesnt matter who you are or where youre from you can come into bogeys, as long as youre thirsty, and have great drinks at a great price. there is always sports on the many tv's so what a great spot to watch the game. Lots of tv's....check. great atmosphere...check. Pool table....check. Great drinks from awesome bartenders....check. Next time you are in redondo and want to watch some games and knock a few back definitely scope out Bogeys! No matter who you are you will feel welcome at this little dive bar, ive never had a bad time with the Bogeys crew! Chantel (owner/standup comic) always make me and my boys feel welcome! and if you laugh at her jokes she might throw u a free drink or two! 3 thumbs up... awesome bar, ill always come back!!
Review Source:I love this place. I been here a few times and the vibe was great. I love the people, alcohol selection, the amount of tvs and sports they show, and pretty much everything else. There is no bad smell there and the waitresses are very, very attentive. This is the best place in the neighborhood to relax.
Review Source:This was not our brightest idea...  we should have been forewarned based on the sketchy exterior, and the "Open" sign that was always on that this may not be such  great night.  But since we were looking for dive bars, we figured why not try Bogey's.
If you can get past the smokescreen at the front door, you are going to be in for quite an experience. Â When people mentioned it was a townie bar, they certainly weren't kidding. Â We walked in and it felt like virtually every head in the bar turned around to look at us. Â Once we found a corner of the bar, we made it a point to have one drink and then get the hell out of there.
There were certainly some very unsavory characters lurking about Bogey's and when mixed with alcohol, became downright creepy. Â If the rumors of shady dealings that take place at the establishment are true, I think we found the culprits on a Thursday night.
I really wanted to wash myself in a bath of Clorox after that experience.
It's an average to below average dive bar. They got a couple pool tables and the people there are nice. Besides that there's nothing that really stands out. The seating setup by the bar is pretty cramped, actually the entire bar is pretty small. There are a lot better dive bars in the area...do some yelp research!
Review Source:The owner, don't know if she still is, Chantelle, was hammered at her own place of business one day as my friend and I sat there having drinks. Â We're two Mexican American girls, brown skin, dark hair. Â Chantelle, decided to get loud and obnoxious and scream that we needed to get out of her bar because MEXICANS are bringing down her bar and ruining her business and that we, Mexicans, are nothing but trouble. Â That was the last time I went to that bar. Â This happened in December 2008. Â I hear from plenty of other local bar owners/employees that she is kind of wacky. Â If it hadn't been for her sweet bartender and sincere clientele, I would have further looked into filing an official complaint or law suit. Â Don't step foot in this bar unless you look like her idea of someone who's not "trouble".
Review Source:There are a lot of people out there that wouldn't like this place, and to them I say go fuck a duck. No, no, it is a dive, and a sports bar, and a heavy older dude ratio. To each their own. But hey, I really love the pool tables, they're quite smooth. Also it's 50 cents a game which is high fives all around. Furthermore, I haven't been mad-dogged, fucked with, or stabbed each time I've been there so, yeah, high fives.
Review Source:i was searching for a cool lil sports bar to watch the basketball game the other night. Â found bogey's only a few blocks down the street, figured as long as they have a TV and beer it would be cool. Â
i found out that i was in for an experience i have never encountered before. Â it's almost hard to even come to the realization that i was discriminated against. Â but yes it happened. Â should have known when i walked in and country music was on the speakers with nothing but the world series of poker on the screens. Â
unless your flying the confederate flag on your hood, not the place for you.
I'd give it 5 farts -- because that's what it smelled like. Seriously. When asked, the bartenders were nice and smiled, replying that the smell came from the drains. Thank goodness they lit incense, otherwise the latrine smell would have shortened my stay...you'd think the owners would care enough to have the RotoRouter guy come 'round to fix that stench but, who am I but a lowly customer.
Drinks were cheap! Thank you! Bartenders were nice! Women's bathroom was cute :)
Music was great until the hip-hop came on ( I don't have a prob with hip-hop ) and they cranked the music LOUD. Really LOUD. Â But the bartenders weren't attentive enough to hear that they had cranked the commercials! If I wanted to listen to commercials cranked at 500 decibels, I would not go to a bar to hear it. Awesome that you play good tunes, but if you don't have a jukebox, be keen on the filter so we don't have to blow our ears out on commercials.
Now I'm heading home to burn my clothes. They smell like fart.
Great looking bartenders, cheap drinks and lot's of sports. Â The staff is friendly and will put anything on tv that you want. Â No food served but lots of places walking distance if you're gonna be there a while. Â My brother and I can walk in there sober and leave with a mean buzz under $25 each. Â Not bad. Â Did I mention the ladies behind the bar are hot and very attentive?
Review Source:came here after a full day of overtime work with the crew i'm working with. the air conditioner was heaven and so were the ice cold beers.
good spot if you're into sports. TV's everywhere, playing almost every sport imaginable. two pool tables. very nice bartender.
everyone was mellow.
the bad...bar stools were old and i felt paranoid to fully sit on em. so i stood, lol. bathroom was kinda stinky, not used to that.
overall it was fun. don't see myself coming back though, unless there's a gun to my head.
Bogey's is a great kick it spot in Redondo. It has lots of HD flat screens (great view everywhere), unlimited popcorn (from a cool little popcorn machine), very friendly bartenders, 2 pool tables (only 50 cents!), lots of sports memorabilia on the wall (go Dodgers!), and other cool shit. Its how I picture my ideal lounge room to be if i ever can afford a big enough house.
Review Source:What can you say:
Good Drinks
Cute Bartenders
A GREAT PLACE TO GET AN IRISH CAR BOMB - Cuz they do it right without having to tell them how to make it
LOTS OF TV'S - Always sports on
Hit and miss on the crowd - SOMETIMES FUN.. SOMETIMES 'WHATEVA'
Pool Tables are in ok shape
I WOULD CALL THIS PLACE AN UPSCALE DIVE BAR.. If there is such a thing ((and dive bars are not a bad thing... usually))
