Break Time Billiards

My friends and I stopped in a few months back to grab a beer here on a Wednesday after work and there was a bouncer at the door asking us for $7. We left.  

It's things like this which kind of bug me about this place. Yes, I have had some good times here, and yes I do think the place has some potential, but they just need to work on not making the place so trashy. And what's with the "$2 domestic pints" deal on Thursdays? As I found out, only the crappy beers apparently fall under the blanket of this deal, and if you try and order a Honker's Ale you'll be slapped with full price.

This place does have this mini-putt game which is actually very fun.

Tips for the owners:
-Get a better beer selection
-Let your waitresses wear normal outfits which allow them to maintain dignity
-Don't charge cover for ultra crappy bands on a Wednesday

I've been going to Breaktime probably since after highschool. I like their tables... plenty of 9 footers. Lots of the same people go here if you like free pool Monday nights. Prices for food and drinks aren't bad either. Lots of space - it wasn't always as large as it now- they just recently added the extra space about a year and a half ago. I don't mind the bands (everyone says they are loud) but I don't see them here on Monday nights. The food is average and I wish they would fix their bathrooms. Overall I'd say it's a solid 8.5. I'm surprised more people haven't written about this place because it seems to me, as far as pool halls go in naperville/aurora, a pretty solid joint. I would love to hear what others have to say about it.

As I was heading to their front entrance from my car, there were several people hanging out at the door smoking. One guy was seated on a stool & he nodded at me, I assume he was the manager or something. Inside is a large space with about a dozen pool tables, a bar, lots of hi tops, and a extremely loud juke box. It looks like they are in the process of expanding, to add a band stage and seating area.
We had drinks & an appetizer, both were good, then played pool for an hour. Waitress was very nice. Value was good. Tables were good, it'll be interesting to see what they do with the stage.
