This Bar Is Amazing
$5 Margaritas with housemade mix are tart, lightly sweet, STRONG, and the bartender will ask you blended or rocks, salt or no salt. Â We went with a group of maybe 12, she brought out trays of microwave popcorn, cleared our pizza boxes when we had finished chowing down, and wouldn't let me pay for my second drink: a ginger ale. Â You can play Ping Pong and Pool, just...don't go there alone.
THIS BAR ROCKS!!! NO COVER, NO DRESS CODE, FREE PARKING, SMALL TOWN CHARM & A WELL STOCKED BAR!!!
My husband has been a regular at this bar for years. About a year ago he talked me into joining him for a few drinks with his friends one Friday night... After that one visit, I totally fell in love with this bar and everyone in it!!!
There are about 5 bartenders that rotate through out the week, all absolutely amazing and very personable. (I'm always greeted with a big "Hello Cassandra"). Patrons definitely range in age from the "finally legals" to the "I've been here as long as this bar has"... LoL And despite the age differences, everyone pretty much gets along for the most part. :-) Everyone has a story to tell, and best believe if you have the time and patience, you're bound to here them all!
The Brisbane Inn is definitely in the category of a "small town" bar, most of the bar patrons are locals, hence everyone knows everyone there... Music varies depending on who put the last dollar in the Juke box, so on any given night, the play list can go from Bon Jovi to Mariah Carey to the Rolling Stones to Johnny Cash to Tupac and so on. Yes, there are more than a few "stuffed" animals throughout the bar, they're not going anywhere, so might as well get use to them being around. Although they make adequate party guests and decorations... LoL (I have a great pic of one of the Bucks all decked out and in a party hat for NYE) ;-)
This bar has been more then hospitable as well as accommodating to me over the past year. They generously let me host/have 3 parties here, my birthday, my husband's & friend's joint birthday as well as our 5th anniversary. Each party they let me decorate the crap out of the bar; from the tables to the chairs, to the entry to the bathrooms, to the hallways, above the bar, below the bar, I hung lights, huge banners outside, brought in tons of food... They even humored me and honored some "drink specials" I thought would be cool to add to the party atmosphere! Let's just say this bar went above and beyond any hospitality I had ever expected to receive. Thank you. :-)
Well to basically sum this up...
1. Small town bar
2. Good people (many are "regulars")
3. Reasonably priced drinks
4. And a great place to kick back, people watch & have a drink or two!
Quick note- Best time to go is on a Friday night, on a payday weekend (of course), and when Brisbane is enjoying their typical concealed great weather!
A classy dive.
As soon as me and my homeboy Clarence walked in to the tunes of Frank Sinatra playing on the jukebox. Instantly this dive turned into an sophisticated drinking establishment.
The crowd albeit a little bit older than that of the 23 club down the block, was real mellow. Couple tables to hang out by the bar, a pool table, a dartboard, you know - the usual. Â The patrons reminds me of the crowd of Joe's of Westlake in Daly City. Some real og's.
The bartender, I didn't catch his name, but he had the presence of a bartender of old. Probably one of the coolest bartenders that ever served a drink to me. If you're a fan of Carl from the Ha-Ra in the TL or a fan of the movie "Cocktail" with Tom Cruise, then yeah, this guy is up there. Lot of personality.
The brothers that own the bar are serious hunters and have all sorts of trophy beasts on the wall. They even had a jackalope.
You stay classy, Brisbane.
The Brisbane Inn is quite the lovely dive bar. We had a company party here (NOT a fancy company party, but a fun happy hour party) and they served lots of greasy piles of food (spring rolls to pot stickers, etc.). I think they went to Costco and made it all. The locals here are quite interesting and the bartenders are nice. Maybe cause they knew we were spending tons of money?
There are all sorts of taxidermy animals on the walls. Everything from ducks to deer to bears.
Jukebox is awesome.
Pool table is very nice.
Not sure if this is or ever was an actual "Inn" but if it is, I wouldn't stay here.
