When I came here past midnight, not to be denied, I found the hookah setting I was looking for: dark, with reggae music in the background, those sparkly pointilist lights all around, and their low-floor arabian seating, which in themselves made me giddy.

I went into the large side room to sit in the low seating. There was a slight odor that dissipated with each puff. Within ten minutes of sitting down, the attendant came by to wipe the table, which had the leftover hookah and spilled drink of the previous customer. Understandable, because he seemed to be the only worker.

I asked for double apple, but received a watermelon-apple mix, with the attendant telling me didn't believe I could handle the double apple concoction. Whatever that meant. In any case, I was happy to experience the watermelon since I've had apple too many times.

There were three other people in the room, with most of us enchanted by Sportscenter on the big screen. The last guy was doing his homework. The attendant replaced the coal and checked regularly the first two times, and on the third, let it expire. Slightly annoyed, but eh, it happens. I departed shortly after.

The hit was okay, the flavor was really good for the duration of the first 1.5 coals, and the ambience was a-okay. If darkness is the kind of ambience you're looking for, those are the nights you want to come here.
