Random New Years' Eve celebration with my cousin from out of town... great time! We were the only two women in the joint but we didn't feel a bit out of place! I really miss hanging out in Boystown because it's so filled with energy and love.
You never see a fight.
You feel safer than most areas in Chicago.
You see some of the best and worst fashion in the city.
You typically have a wonderful time and can hail a cab from anywhere.
Love boystown! Thank you for not having a ridiculous cover charge on New Years!
If  you are a boomer and not the 30 something crowd or younger, then your choice of music will be shut off from the juke box, even though you have paid for the music.  That's what some of the bartenders do at Buck's when a younger person complains....there is no consideration if the older patron has to endure some of the crappy music that's being played today.........but I guess that's how it is these days at most bars.........It's a generational difference and any boomer might as well stay home............you are not welcome at these gay bars.
