$5 for a Lonestar...you're joking right?

Went in early on a Monday.  Saw fliers posted in window of restaurant about half off food on Monday.  No other qualifier.  {Drinks at full price, seems reasonable.}  After meal tabbed up, no half off food since it was before 5 pm. (4:35 p.m.) Not good when business posts deceptive come-ons. While food/drink was good, experience leaves a bad taste.

The three stars is only the result of a snafu in the kitchen that let us food-less during brunch for about 45 minutes. Apparently our entire ticket was lost.

But the service totally made up for it. Our server Tracy was so attentive and got us complimentary chips and salsa to munch on, and the manager comped the food that got lost.

And that brings me to the food-- so tasty! I've had their tacos before-- very fresh with cool combinations. This time around I had a HUGE BBQ chicken salad, which really fresh and good. We also had onion rings-- clearly also delicious. My friend had the most AMAZING brunch item -- chicken and biscuits with gravy. It was so good.

The ktichen goofed up on her order yet again-- she asked for the gravy on the side. But the manager took care of that right away, and made it clear that this was not the norm.

So, all in all, I will absolutely be going back for brunch. People were having a great time, really enjoying both their food and the vibe.

If they can't get their act together in the kitchen, though, it's not something I'll go back for.
