I am not a wing eater but I agreed to accompany some co-workers to BWW's for a quick lunch break to escape the hectic-ness of the office one day. I was not super hungry either but I saw they had mac n cheese on the menu for something incredibly cheap like $2.99. The waitress said it was creamy so I went for it. Actually enjoyed it. Not the best I've ever had but not the worst either. The pasta was actually pretty tough which I like...sometimes mac n cheese suffers from icky overcooked pasta. Service was kinda slow, which was my only complaint and the smell of hot sauce was overbearing in the restaurant. Eventually I got used to the smell but it was off-putting for the first 10 mins or so. I see they have other things on the menu besides wings so I'd probably go back here again with my coworkers if they wanted lunch here.
Review Source:Horrible experience. We had a large party but were charged for: wings we never got, drinks we never got. Some of the poor service included: drinks that took 45 minutes to come as well as appetizers that never came and one meal that didn't come with everyone else's. We talked to the manager, Kevin and he said he'd do something. We got about 15% off. The girl who got her meal very late got $1.29 off. Â Unacceptable!
Review Source:It's a BWW...that sums it up. Â Loud, screens playing sports and games, wings. Â But it's a good place to go if you are in the area and you want something reasonably priced to eat ( wings ) and you don't mind the noise level. Â And if you happen to have a basketball fan with you like we did then it's all good. Â
The food is BWW food, nothing to write home about but your basic good sports watching type of finger food. Â Service was good and pretty quick considering it was packing in there. Â Only one big problem - do NOT sit near that kiddie game machine section in the back unless you have the kiddies with you. Â Otherwise you will have to put up with screaming mimi's like we did until they had played out their money and their parents took them home.
And believe their heat chart on their sauces and rubs. Â Phew!!!
Hubby and I wanted to try something new so we decided BWW, and we will not be going back. Â Being in the service industry myself I do have high standards as far as service but I am also understanding to certain situations. Â I ordered a Big Daddy burger (my first mistake considering they are known for their chicken) and hubs ordered boneless wings. It took about 20 min for our food to arrive, which was surprising since their was approx. only 3 others tables. The food looked tasty until I bit into my RAW burger! I like a medium cooked burger but this was straight cold in the middle, not to mention the gooshy texture! I can't understand how a "cook" would not catch that mistake as he plated this entree. I asked the waitress if I could have another burger and she was super apologetic. She did a good job handling the situation;) the manager came over as well and apologized. Since we ran out of time I asked if I could have my burger boxed to go. They discounted my burger 50%(sweet) But when I opened the box it wasn't made like the menu described.. Bummer! We left without saying anything. While walking to our car I saw the manager on his smoke break, just would think he would of checked the box one last time to make sure it was correct! Â Overall I would say service was good, but maybe they should hire some new cooks!
Review Source:I've been here several times, and it's not bad, but it's not great.
The food is definitely on the higher end as far as pricing goes, and they never hesitate to try and nickel and dime you. That really irritates me. Plus, they don't really hid the fact that they cut corners.
In addition, service is never quick. First, the waitresses are always running around like chickens with their heads cut off, but I never quite know where they are going. In addition, there is always a ton of employees that are hanging out near the pickup window/hostess stand. I don't understand why there are always so many people hanging out there, but those extra bodies could be used to work the tables and help service speed pick up.
Also, where is the sauce on the wings? It never fails that not a single wing that I get is ever fully covered in the sauce that I order. Obviously they are skimping on the flavoring (while good), but come on. Don't make it that obvious that you are cutting corners.
Needless to say, you can get more flavorful and cheaper wings (and likely cheaper anything else) at your local neighborhood joint. Oh, and you won't feel like you are getting nickel and dimed to death.
We stopped by after the festival of the little hills and I was impressed that they didn't have a wait. Usually during this festival everything around is packed with crazy hungry people, but we got right it.
I have only been to a BWW a couple of times and have had lack luster food. This time was different, I ordered the BBQ bacon chicken sandwich and my wife ordered the chicken tenders. I think my in laws both ordered the BBQ burger. I also got onion rings instead of fries, after being in the heat for so long fries just didn't sound appetizing.
The food came out pretty quickly and our waitress was really nice, she must have filled our water about 6 times; did I mention we were in the heat?
Once we got our food I was amassed at the size of the piece of chicken on my sandwich; it wasn't huge but it also didn't disappear under the bun. I was just hoping it was not tough and chewy, to my delight it was incredibly tender and juicy. I ate everything on my plate and felt great I wasn't stuffed and didn't feel sorry that I had eaten it.
I kept thinking "man why don't I eat here more often?" my wife and the in laws said the same thing, they were very impressed with their food.
Great place for lunch.
As far as chains go, you can do a whole lot worse that Buffalo Wild Wings. Â The service and food are good and the prices are reasonable. Â Got a group of friends and don't know where to go? Â Good chance there is a Buffalo Wild Wings nearby.
The St. Chux Derby Chix have their after-parties at the St. Charles location and the place is regularly packed late on Saturday nights. Â That said, the wait staff does an excellent job dealing with the masses.
3 days ago I burned my entire mouth on a garlic battered mushroom. Â The mushroom was worth it, but I am still suffering.
I have recently found a love for mushrooms, so when I see them as an appetizer, I usually order them. Â The batter had just a hint of garlic, which I love, and the good kind of mushrooms were on the inside.
I enjoyed the variety of sauces for the wings, we each got a 12 wing basket, my dinner mate ordered Honey BBQ and I ordered Mango Habanero. Â I didn't try the Honey BBQ, because it's usually too sweet for me. Â The Mango Habanero.... OMG. Â It was sweet, I didn't feel the habanero until I was a few bites in and my lips were tingling. Â I don't really know how I made it through the 12 pieces. Â And it was so sneaky! Â Like I said, it was sweet, I didn't feel the heat at all! Â
I liked it, I'm a glutton for punishment, I'll probably order them again. Â But I'm going to wait a few minutes on the mushrooms!
Ok Food, Bad/slow service...
I enjoy my sauces with a manageable kick and a little sweet. Â My favorite sauces are the Asian Zing and the Caribbean Jerk, as both of these are spicy, yet you can still taste their flavor. Â Also, their buffalo chips are really good, they are fried potato slices (and way better than their potato wedges or fries).
The food is ok, but the sauces is what really makes it good. Â I would have rated this place a 3-stars, but their services is really slow, and gets slower each time I go. Â Last time I went, the server gave us our food, and disappeared for a long time, not returning until well after we were finished eating and our glasses had all been drained of all useful liquid.
Good service is important to me and played a very large factor in my rating, because the server we got was very slow and not on the floor for most of the time. Â I've been here 3 times in the past 3 months, and each time, the service has been worst. Â It would be difficult to rate this place higher, without some improvements to their service.
The service here is nill. Don't get me wrong, they were very friendly....when someone was there. We got a gentleman who took our order, informing us that he was only helping out and not our server. He then came back after placing our order and informed us yet again, that he was not our server, and only helping out. OK? So we stat. And we sat some more. And I wondered how long it takes to pour 3 draft beers in a place with about 10 people in it (should have been my first sign for a Friday night). After 15 minutes, I went up and asked the bar tender about our drinks. She said there was no order for any drinks, so she served my $4.50 draft beers and charged me. Ten minutes later, our food arrived via a new male server. It was great. Buffalo chicken pizza and chicken nachos (about 10 bucks each) hit the spot. Great bar food and not too greasy. Low and behold, about 5 minutes after our food arrived, a girl claiming to be our waitress arrived with our drinks. Hmmm. I told her about my bartender conversation and said we got our own drinks and didn't want anymore, but thanks anyway. She said, "Well now you have 2."
For her 2nd visit, she asked how everything tasted and dropped our bill off, charging for the unwanted, untouched beer.
I will not go back here.
