Only thing they really have going for them is the location and the 60 beers on tap which is impressive. The food and service aren't all that great though which is the core of any restaurant.
The beer menu doesn't provide any information on the beers such as the style, alcohol content etc which would be really helpful. So we asked the server which was NOT in the mood to tell us much about any of them.

Then the App, we got the nachos. Terrible. I could've made the same thing in my microwave at home and it would've tasted better. So then being a burger place I got a Onion burger with waffle fries and seasoned sour cream. Everything was just bland. Champ's seasoned sour cream and waffle fries BLOWS these away...not even comparable. The burger didn't taste fresh...it tasted like a Mc'ds bland tasting frozen burger! As far as burgers go there's WAY better places out there. I don't think one thing that came to our table was made from scratch in house which always makes for awful food. Pretty disappointing.
The service wasn't great either. Was absolutely dead...and while he was fast he was pushy and in a rush for some reason. I told him we'd take our time and he kept stopping back literally every couple of minutes to get our order. Then I ordered a beer and I boxed up my food. Even though I planned on drink another beer or two he dropped the check without asking if we wanted anything else. So we just paid it and left.

Overall I'd stop there if it was convenient to eat quick, but would I go out of my way to go eat there? Nope.

Great beers on tap, very cute & comfy patio with a nice little string quartet playing.  Service was  very good and my burger was was cooked to perfection. Will be returning soon!

Burger Moe's gets it right with its Blue Sky burger. So tasty!

One tip of advice: when it's 50 degrees out and people on the patio are asking for outside heaters, don't make up excuses about them being the basement or dusty. Management should already have had them out and fired up. This is not the first or last time it will be chilly in Minnesota, but it could be the last time our group chooses Burger Moe's if everyone is complaining about the cold.

I have waited to review Moe's because it has been so hit or miss. We went for the first time last summer and had the best salmon burger ever. The atmosphere was fantastic, best patio out there. The next time we went it was after we moved all day and hit there late at night. Late night happy hour and appetizers were awesome. We literally craved their nachos because it was so good that night. Since then we have been there three more times and it has been not so great. I guess it's just like any where else, it all depends on who is in the kitchen. Last time we were there and sat in the patio they had a band and it was fantastic. Our 7 year old didn't want to leave. Food was not so good but if you are going for drinks and want to take a chance, burger moes is the place. Hope you get the good cook!

Couldn't have had a better time at Moes. They had a packed patio and yet everything was spot on. My server recommended me a delicious summer shandy beer and the blue sky burger. Cooked to perfection and absolutely delicious.  I also got the waffle fries with their delicious seasoned sour cream.  Had a great time and the gorgeous patio is a huge plus. Can't wait to come back soon!

    Discrimination

I had two unpleasant experiences.  The first time was with my co-workers.  We met their after work.  We were discriminated against and not allowed to play our music selection "90 r&b".  We had put money in the joke box, but noticed that the music stopped.  We thought there was something wrong with the machine, but unbeknownst to us; the manager had a remote and stopped it.  He walked up to one of my colleague and gave her a refund and told he did not like her music selection.  It completely ruined the rest of our evening.  A month later I was refused the equal treatment to watch a basketball exhibition.  The Celtics were playing and the only TV they had that game on was a small grainy one.  I intentionally walked around the restaurant to get an assessment of who was watching the center monitor, and no one was.  I asked the bartender if he could turn the center big screen that no one was watching to the basketball game and the bartender said no.  He said "we try to keep this on baseball".  I observed that it wasn't even a home team playing, it was Nebraska college baseball.  When I told him the Twins were not playing, he said "this is a hockey town".  I pointed out to him that Minnesota Wild was not playing.  When I asked why he was refusing to turn to the game, he just shrugged his shoulders and said "we don't play basketball on this monitor".  I started to get the feeling from these two experiences that I was being discriminated.  We were denied the opportunity to play our music selection and denied equal opportunity to enjoy a game of basketball.  The food was nothing to write home about and could get better customer service at White Castle.  They need to treat all customers equally.

Food is ok, but they do serve past midnight which is awesome.  Their patio is huge, with a nice fire fixture in the middle.

Service is hit or miss, I feel like the bartenders are put off by my presence so I tend to hit up tables.  I love sitting at a bar so that's saying a lot.

Prices are decent especially for it's location.

Food, I don't believe much is made in house but they are fast and it's ok.

Oh, Burger Moe's.  I have been standing up for you for the past year and EVERYONE has been arguing with me.  Today I believe I have been proven wrong.

I skipped lunch today, so by the time I got close to home, I just wanted to stop somewhere and get food that I know is good.  Walked in to Burger Moe's for a Kobe burger and Tuscan Tots - this combo has never failed me before.

Now, I don't know about you, but when I buy fresh beef and form it in to a patty, I have never ONCE been able to make it have PERFECTLY SQUARE EDGES once cooked (imagine if you freeze a tube of beef and cut it in to burgers with a saw).  I only see those on store-bought frozen patties.  My 10 dollar "Kobe beef" burger had square edges and was certainly not cooked to medium well as requested.  It was brown all the way through and chewy around the edges.  If you run out of Kobe, just tell me!  Don't serve me a frozen patty and charge me 10 bucks for it.  By the time I got my food home and realized, I was too hungry to go back.

The only reason I'm giving two stars now is because of the tots.  I still love the tots.  But you know what?  I'm pretty sure I'm not going back just for those.

I worked with Burger Moes for an event on a Thursday night. Working with the staff was so easy and the restaurant was so generous with their portions and the space we used! The staff we worked with in planning our event made it so easy and stress-free! We were even able to use their AV equipment free of charge!

The weather did not cooperate, so we were a little bummed we couldn't take advantage of the great patio - the 'garage style' windows were open for a nice breeze for such a big group though, which we really appreciated.

I loved being able to tell our guests that there is a FREE parking lot for Burger Moes customers too!

Went here on the Saturday afternoon of the Boys Hockey Tourney. Walked past Eagle Street which was nearly flowing out the door to Burger Moes as we had heard about their solid tap beer list. We were truthfully a bit shocked at how quiet it was here, but the beer list was nice--though it exemplifies my two pet peeves as to such. No prices and out of date. Really..do you want me to ask your server the price of every beer I may be interested in? Rather than bother we just ordered. First beer ordered had run out the day before. Founders Imperial Stout. I understand when a keg just blows. But not the day before! Fix the list! The server was friendly and fairly beer knowledgeable. When he "chatted us up" about beer he asked had we ever had Lagunitas Sucks to which my wife relied how she simply loved it. Yeah. They had it. Just NOT on the list. HOWEVER, the server without being asked poured here a nice "tasting" glass full and brought it to her! Nice move.

There is a "regular" sitting at the bar next to my wife and he orders a Jameson shot and pull out his money to pay for it. He is surprised to learn that it is exactly a dollar more. When questioned the server explains while he gestures up and down West 7th that there is a $1 dollar "event charge" added to each beer and drink and that "everyone up and down here" does it for events and Wild games because of the NHL Lockout as everyone was struggling.(as an aside earlier, the server is telling us how great it is to work there as they never have to worry about their check as Moe owns all the parking in downtown) Two other people farther down the bar hear this and are equally stunned to hear of such a thing. I understand not doing happy hour pricing and specials on event-type days, but none of us had heard of raising the prices that way. The words "Price gouging" came up as part of the conversation. On the way out, my wife asked Moe himself about it and he goes off about us being "Light Beer drinkers" (not so much--we travel and bring back bottles and bottles of craft beer that is not available in the midwest) and asks us where we parked. I think he wanted to justify his having an "event" price on his beer was the same as "event" pricing on parking.

It gets better. When I told him I could not wait to let everyone know on YELP about such an idea he said "who cares". My beer. 8 bucks at The Gnome. 10 bucks at Burger Moes.

BY THE WAY. We stopped at Zamboni"s, Eagle Street, and The Liffey on the way back to see if they had the same "event pricing" that the server there told us "everyone" had. NOPE. NONE of them did. They did not have happy hour pricing and one said "we would never raise the price for a game" and "I know he does it but that is just him".

All I can say is the service was so-so, the food underwhelming, and the lovely reek of bathroom air freshener permeated the restaurant. I think Moe should stick to his other restaurant.

(But my husband did like his lamb burger).

You can't beat how close Burger Moe's is to the Xcel Center for a pre-game or pre-concert beer, but for good food I would go elsewhere.

The appetizer list is pretty slim; if you want to split some food with friends it's pretty much fries, nachos, curds, or wings. The flavor of the wings were good, the hot had a nice kick but were not over the top spicy, but the wings themselves were not all that meaty. We ordered two burgers and both were pretty disappointing. The cheese inside of the juicy lucy was not molten, it was actually pretty solid. Part of that was they asked how we wanted our burgers and we said rare, but they should let you know that rare means there is an unmelted brick of cheese inside the burger. There was so little BBQ sauce and onion straws on the bison burger they barely imparted any flavor. The burgers themselves were not seasoned very well and were a bit bland. The fries almost made up for two sub-par burgers; the cheesy bacon fries were very good, but the Tuscan fries were excellent.

The beer list is extensive, but the mixed drinks are pretty weak and definitely not good booze value. The best part of Burger Moe's is the wait staff who were friendly and attentive, but there are plenty of other places in St. Paul to score good service and get a decent meal.

I live right up the hill and this is my favorite place to stop late night for an appetizer and a beer. Live music, good food, great happy hour after 9, and an awesome patio (when weather allows)! Cheese curds and mini corn dogs, can't beat cheap eats and beer!

The burgers were fine but the service was horrible. In fact there was no service at all. The place was pretty much empty with only a couple of tables other than ours occupied. We could see that there were at least 3 servers working. They walked by us several times but no one stopped at our table. We waited for 15 mins and still no service. We went to the bar and got some drinks and came back to the table. Waited some more. still no service. So we just ordered our food at the bar and left our table and sat at the bar. This whole time we could see the servers standing in the corner and chatting.

They had a blues band playing, they have a full bar, and they have good burgers. It would have been great if only we would have got some service.

    Never going back again!!!

My cousins had a baby down the street and we were in search of place that had food, and a bar so we could give the daddy a birthday shot! Yeah!

We walked about two or three blocks and Burger Moe's caught our eye. We went in and was happy to find it was happy hour which means half off of all appetizers. We ordered about seven things to go, lamb sliders, salmon sliders, beef sliders, nachos, chicken fingers, and spring rolls. We each had two or three round of cocktails while we waited (the wait wasn't that long we probably ordered the food after a drink in a half in). Everything was great! I mean it was bar food but it hit the spot.

They had quite the beer selection too which was impressive, so next time I'm in downtown St Paul (which is rare) I will definitely come back.

Meh. There was nothing to brag about in my meal here. Well, almost nothing. The onion rings here are phenomenal, but nothing else tickled my fancy. Service was great. Food was not. Especially since the food was bland and boring. We got their 'Signature menu item', their version of the juicy lucy. It was really disappointing.

My malt wasn't great either although it was cool that for a mint malt they used fresh mint leaf.

    I guess I wouldn't waste your time.

My mom and I came here on April 5, 2012 just before the Chicago Blackhawks vs Minnesota Wild game. There were a lot of choices we could of chosen from but the large patio drew us in.  We had Edamame and the sauce with it was simply amazing! Great combination. I had the burger with the onion strings with waffle fries. I think I never finished a whole meal before besides this one! My mother had the bleu sky burger and it was great also!

Overall, I will definitely be back when we're in town again.

Stopped by Burger Moe's for a Saturday afternoon lunch - no events going on at the X so it was nice and quiet.  Sat ourselves on the great, large patio.  Easy to quickly forget you are in downtown St. Paul, great atmosphere.

Like that the beer list has the logos, makes picking easier than going through an alphabetized list.  Asked for some suggestions from the helpful server and ordered the Cajun burger and Tuscan fries.  The fries....mmm...wow, very good.  Very rich.  Burger was excellent.  May be a bit too greasy for others but I like a good greasy burger.  For Cajun, it was not particularly spicy but did have good flavor.

They have free off street parking, good prices for the location, great food and good service.  Would recommend.  I would imagine that during events or Wild games this place would be a little crazy, but I did enjoy it during a nice quiet Sat afternoon.

Home of the Happy Hour Bait and Switch: deal seekers beware!

If there's one thing I hate above all else, it is restaurants that proclaim false or misleading specials to get you in the door and then walk them back with bogus caveats once you're seated.  For example, Burger Moe's website claims it has happy hour 7 days a week, two times a day, from 3pm - 6pm and 9pm - 1am.  While they DO point out that Happy Hour doesn't work during events at the Xcel Energy Center, they don't bother to point out that happy hour also stops depending on what other specials are running.  For example, Monday night is $5 burger night.  It's a great deal that starts at 4pm.  What they don't say, however, is that happy hour stops when $5 burger night starts.  The same goes for the $3 martinis promised on Mondays and Tuesdays during happy hour.  Why have a Monday special that isn't good on Mondays?!  That's all well and good, I understand they can't just give away the store.  What I find truly unacceptable is that they don't put any of these caveats on the website or their menus, even though they saw fit to disclaim game night specials.  That says that they know how, they just don't care. I have little tolerance for places that aren't honest or forthright with their customers.

I've been to Burger Moe's twice.  It's perfectly adequate if you're looking for a decent burger that's a step up from Wendy's but you're too hungry to wait in line at the Blue Door and you're too low on gas to make it down to the Nook.  They use good meat and quality--though not particularly creative--toppings.  The bacon was nice and crispy, but the egg on the Denny Burger was weird.  Both my wife and I thought it was cooked right, but that it was oddly bland, like it was poached, not fried.  I had the Juicy Moe, which is their version of a Juicy Lucy.  If that's what you're in the mood for, you'd be better served elsewhere (e.g., The Nook or Blue Door Pub).  The fries are nice and crispy and flavorful, though, so there's that, but it's not called French Fry Moe's.

Their beer list is pretty extensive.  They have about 30-40 different beers on tap, but no prices on the menu.  There's nothing more tedious or awkward than having to ask your server to explain all the different prices for 40 different beers.  Get over yourself, Moe's; if the Happy Gnome, Bulldog Lowertown, Muddy Pig and Sweeney's can list beer prices on their menus, so can you.

Service is what you'd expect from a sports bar.  The server wasn't too thrilled when I asked about the happy hour specials and made me feel like it was my fault for not understanding the unprinted exceptions.

Bottom line, unless you're on your way to a game or really want to sit on a beautiful patio in downtown St. Paul, go somewhere else for your burger fix.

Being located so close to the xcel, I have always avoided Burger Moe's because of limited parking, crowds, and sub-par food. But I was pleasantly surprised to find out I was wrong about all three.

Reluctantly, my dining companion and I thought we would head down to the West 7th area to grab a bite on a Saturday night. I was surprised to find that Burger Moe's had a free lot for their patrons. Since we were feeling like the typical American fare, we pulled in there and decided to give it a try.

The open-air concept , which centers mostly around their expansive patio was clean and inviting. The patio was full with a mix of young and old couples, families, and small groups of friends. We were immediately greeted by a friendly server who remained very attentive throughout the whole service.

Per the recommendation of our server, my dining companion ordered the Santa Fe burger (a beef patty, salsa, cheese, and avocado) and I order the Salmon Burger (salmon patty, roasted red peppers, and a dill roumalade). Our gigantic burgers came out quickly, and we were both very satisfied - the the salmon patty was moist, and the crispness of the veggies and creaminess of the roumalade created a nice balance of textures. One regret, I wish I would have ordered the waffle fries or Tuscan fries - don't get me wrong, the regular fries were perfectly crisp and had a good flavor, I just wish I would have tried a more interesting side.

With the off street parking, great service, and good food, I will definitely be returning to Burger Moe's again soon!

I was actually pleasently surprised by Burger Moe's.  I was there with friends for a birthday and the atmosphere was great on the patio.  The space was large and the umbrellas made it comfortable.

For food I actually opted for a salad (Bizarre, yes).  It was much better than I predicted it woudl be.  All the ingredients were super fresh and the dressing was very tasty.  I also had some of the nacho's with friends and they were huge and full of toppings.

Everyone else really enjoyed their burgers.  I would venture back to Moe's if I ended up on that side of the cities again.

I went to Burger Moe's for my first time and was disappointed. It was seat yourself and all of the table tops and two booths in the bar area were taken so my boyfriend and I ended up sitting at the bar for dinner.

With a few bites of his burger left, my boyfriend ended up pulling out a long piece of hair...I've never had that happen to me (knock on wood) but I think I would probably gag. Um, EWW! After that happened I really didn't feel like finishing the other half of my burger. Finding a piece of hair in your food is absolutely disgusting but that's not all - he asked for a water and was given one with a nice, unidentifiable piece of crap floating at the bottom of it. Luckily, I caught it before he took a sip. They ended up comping the burger which would be expected (and water is free, so I mean no worries on that end...)

Not trying to rag on this place but come on, two strikes in one meal? Gross.

I feel bad yelping only negative things so I'll throw in a couple positives...
+ They serve full menu at the bar
+ Looked like a good beer selection (But I probably won't be visiting Burger Moe's again)
+ It's in a decent location - McGovern's and the Liffey are right next to the place.

I was here on the 4th of July when it was 100 degrees outside. Luckily it was nice and cool inside. The drink selection was substantial (something like 60 beers). I had a turkey burger with waffle fries, it was decent... nothing to write home about.
They have tons of TV's and it definitely has a sports bar type of vibe. The servers were really friendly.

There is also a really large outdoor area with an outdoor bar, however I can't review that because it was too hot to sit out there! It did look really nice.

Read a few neg reviews here on yelp and i have to say, i had none of these issuses. My wife, 11 month old son and i brought my mother here for a b-day dinner and couldnt have been happier. We sat outside (nice patio by the way) and the waitress came and took our drink order right away. We had bacon cheese fries for an app. I had the blue sky, as did my mother, and my wife had a plain burger w/cheese. All tasted great!!! My even got a free b-day sundae! Waitress was awesome, food was perfect and price was great
We will be going back. Oh yeah, the tuscan fries are a must!!!

Burger Moe's was underwhelming in every respect. My wife and I landed there after brainstorming a fun, casual place in Saint Paul with outdoor seating. We had never been so off we were to West 7th.

The atmosphere inside is decidedly sports bar, which makes sense for a bar located near the Excel.  I'm generally suspicious of restaurants that tout a huge line of beer taps, and Burger Moe's is a perfect example of why that's justified. After a few sips of a terribly flat Surly Cynic, I did something I rarely do and sent it back, asking for a Schell's manifest (also flat, as was my wife's Blue Moon). Whether it's a mechanical problem or just a matter of not moving through the kegs fast enough, I left Burger Moe's wondering how many of their 40 taps were old and undrinkable. The food was forgettable at best, though I remember thinking my lamb burger tasted like taco seasoning.

With as many decent burger joints around town, I can't imagine one reason to go back to Burger Moe's.

We felt in the mood to take our pooch out to dinner with us so we ended up at Moe's since they have a pet friendly patio.

We lucked out because it happened to be 5 dollar Burger night.  We both had burgers and they were OK, nothing fantastic but certainly a dynamite deal!

What was excellent was the service.  We had Frank, who was attentive not only to us but to our dog, even offering him some bottled water.  I tend to find that in bar/restaurants like these, typically the servers pay much more attention to tables where they are throwing back  tons of booze but we felt very well taken care of despite the fact our bill was quite small.

The Patio was such a nice place to hang out making you feel right at home.  In fact, the table next to ours, they brought in their own rhubarb pie for dessert and the waitress pleasantly brought them plates and serving utensils.  You can't get any more Minnesota Nice than that!!

A parking lot next to Dunn Bros, Monday Burger Nights, TONS of beer choices, awesome patio, and great service should have you running to Moe's.

Nothing too special, but it fit the bill for a good beer & burger after work.

    Key points:
    - They had a Burger Moe's customer parking lot in back, which is very nice for downtown St. Paul!
    - They have a really good on-tap beer selection!  Taps lined the whole length of the bar.
    - I wasn't impressed with their happy hour-- mostly because they said they didn't have one because of the Swarm game going on.  Really?  The Swarm.  The waiter then did offer to do a $4 Coors Light special. Really? Coors light when you have all those other delicious brews on tap. No thanks.
    - I enjoyed the burger I had (the original), but nothing to get too vocal about.
    - The customers seemed to be more families than anything else when we were there.
    - The background music seemed to get increasingly louder after 6pm.  I dare say Robyn was playing a bit too loud for my liking.

A lot of other places I'd want to try before I visit a 2nd time, but it did look like it might be a good spot in the summer because they had a nice sized patio seating area.

Nice to have a burger place not too far from home. I have to say that it might be more of a good time in the warmer months.

Walked in, place wasn't too crowded, but had enough people inside. The seat yourself sign was posted, so we opted for a table looking out into the patio area and were the only ones in the back area for awhile. I'm always a tad skeptical when it says seat yourself if the place is good size, but our server was right behind us.

Service was great! Couldn't ask for better. Friendly, attentive and informative.

    Food was ok.

I ordered the Fun Guy Burger with mushrooms and swiss; subbed the fries for Onion Rings. Didn't care for the batter. I prefer the lighter beer batter, but no biggie. My burger was a tad too greasy and my napkin agreed. The bottom of the bun didn't seem to want to cooperate with the burger.

J ordered the Cajun Burger along with a side of chili. He said it was pretty good.

We're over the whole wire basket concept for burgers. I guess we're just partial to a plate to cut things on. Again, not a biggie, but worth a mention.

They do have a pretty good selection of burgers. That burger with the corned beef atop two patties looks like a cardiac arrest waiting to happen.

Patio is really cute and looks nice with all the lights at night.

I would give more of a 3.5. Just not quite a fan, just yet.

We went back to Burger Moe's last weekend, and it was as good as I remembered. If you're in the mood for a burger and a malt, this place won't dissapoint.

We ordered the hot fudge peanut butter malt again, and it was just as good as I remembered. Seriously, this is like a peanut butter cup in a glass, so delicious.

This time I ordered the turkey burger, and it was bursting with flavor. It was topped with marinara, roasted red peppers and mozzarella. I could only eat half, but we brough the leftovers home and the hubby said it was still good reheated.

Yelp searched for some eats before the Britney Spears concert last night and Burger Moe's showed up with some good stuff so we stopped in to grab a bite before the concert started.

My first impression was that I really liked the look of the place.  Cool string lights over some brightly colored umbrellas, a vine covered wall, and open air into the restaurant from the patio.  My stomach actually started grumbling as soon as we arrived due to the delicious aroma of burgers in the air.

It was busy to say the least because of the concert a couple blocks away but we got a couple beers to wait.  The server was obviously a little over her head because it took awhile to order but we decided on the turkey sliders and nachos along with shakes.  I was honestly more excited about the nachos in the beginning but holy smokes those turkey sliders blew me away.  The seasoning in the burgers themselves along with the oh so tasty cranberry sauce was an amazing combination.  Plus they were actually really decently sized and I could have easily been satisfied with just the two of them for dinner.

The shakes were lovely.  I got the mint oreo (insert drool here) and the lovely Steph R got the hot fudge.  Why is hot fudge so much better than regular chocolate? We weren't sure but its the truth.

Overall this place was pretty awesome, not too pricey, and somewhere I definitely will be returning for a happy hour soon!

I have mixed emotions about this place. The first two times I went there, it was FANTASTIC. My husbands family actually hosted the grooms dinner here the night before our wedding outside on the patio and in the old building. It was great, the service was incredible.

However, I then went there once or twice more after that and the service was horrible - like the waitress forgetting to take two out of three peoples orders at our table. So that's why I can't give Moe's a 5.

The food is always good - definitely try the mini's and the salmon burger - delicious! You can tell it's good quality food and that it's been prepared fresh. Plus, the price isn't horrible.

They have a good selection of beer and a full bar, so whatever you want can be had.

The owner is delightful, as is the manger/business partner. They are both great men that you can tell care a TON about their business and how the customers feel about it.

THAT WAS A REALLY GOOD BURGER!  I got The Classic and it delivered. I had a bit of time to kill before a show at the Roy Wilkins Auditorium and was able to get my burger as take away. I ordered a beer at the bar while waiting but didn't want a lot to drink, so the bartender was kind enough to pour me a 10 oz.  They had Anchor Steam on tap and it was delish.  The burger (thick and perfectly cooked to medium well done) came garnished w 2 cucumber slices, a HUGE container of ketchup on the side and onion, tomato and lettuce on the burger plus a large order of thick cut fries.  Oh, and a big pickle spear.

Needless to say, I was a happy camper!

If I was in St. Paul again, I would go back and this time enjoy my beer and burger in house at the bar  :)

First things first, I received a foursquare reward for checking in here - an upgraded beer!  Awesome.  Make sure you check in to get this reward.
We sat at the bar and had great service.  Chops is good for a chat and food suggestions.  He rocks.
The food was much better then I expected .  I had the lamb burger with sweet potato fries and my date had the bleu cheese burger with tator tots.  Everything was very good.
Washed down with my upgraded Surly (they also have a great beer list) and it was a perfect Thursday night burger and beer joint.

Two years ago I would probably have given this place 4 stars. But since then I have had been to so many good burger joints that this one just seems kind of ho hum. The meat they use is pretty good and cooked to order. But despite advertised as being baked fresh daily, the bun was just so-so. It light and airy, but I prefer a softer moister bun. I think Fuddruckers has some of the best buns on the planet. (not to mention Kate Beckinsale, but that's another review, or maybe even a talk thread :). Both the regular and the waffle fries were good but nothing special. The décor has a nice new clean bistro / sports bar feel with decent parking and indoor access to a coffee shop next door.

Don't get me wrong, a lot of people are going to like the burgers they server here, and I recommend trying it for yourself. But in my case, there are just so many outstanding burger joints near and far that this is just not a go-to destination for me.

The overview is this: Fast Service, Decent Food, Decent prices.  I'd stop in again only if I'm in the area.  And next time I'd like to check out the patio.

I expected it to be more busy on a Friday night at 6:30pm but we easily found a table.  Finding a high chair was a little more difficult and thank you to the random mom who gave hers up.  Our table of 4 (and a half) ordered burgers all around, 2 shakes and a beer.  And a chicken strip basket for the little one.

The burger was good, but not great.  I purposely got a plain (cheddar & grilled onions) burger because I thought the meat would be so tasty not much was needed.  I didn't need to add anything really but it wasn't like Oh My God good.  Everyone seemed happy with their food.

Shakes were good but they were... chunky.  Hubby got the Milky Way Shake and it had chunks of MW in it that couldn't get through the straw.  I actually thought they just meant the flavors, not the actual candy bar.

The service was fast though our server didn't seem too interested in us.  She seemed really annoyed that I requested extra ranch for my onion rings.  But she was mostly pleasant.

The bocce court in the basement was a surprise.  We didn't play but we let the little one run around down there and work off some energy before heading home.

So ... My wife is pregnant and craving burgers. As a result, we have been here a lot! The fact that they grind their own meat (therefore skipping all of the soy and seaweed extract - can you say the same thing Mr. Fastfoodjoint?) means that their burgers are juicier and taste great!

My favorite is the burger with a fried egg. Call me an aristocrat, or a moron, but I love fried eggs on stuff!

Oh, and they have tater tots. Good ones that aren't soggy or overdone.

So let's run through the list. Beer? Check. Burgers that are made from grinding up actual meat? Check. Tater-tots? Check. Lots of tater tots (If you're going to give me tots, give me ALL the tots)? Check.

    Pregnant woman craving satisfied? Check.

    My work here is done.

Eh....I miss Patio. I worked right by West Seventh, and it was a great place for a Margarita after work....but now it's Burger Moes. Too bad. It's a burger/shake/kind of place, with a big bar. No booze, for us, but I think they have 60 beers on tap. Something like that.  The service was good. The food wasn't great. Tim ordered a root beer float, which I had some of-and the ice cream they use is very good...that was the best part of the meal. We shared a chicken Caesar salad-which was almost inedible (how do you ruin salad?) and the lamb burger, which was actually very good.  We paid three dollars extra for cheese curds-but don't bother. Culver's are better. And I don't really like Culver's very much.
We  won't be back, but I think it would be a good place to go for a beer with friends.

Wow.  Not just bad service...horrible!  4 tables...didn't get anything  right on order, wouldn't change tv to a game we actually wanted to watch, now waiting for a box to take home mediocre food.  Maybe they'll actually let us pay, but for as long as we've been waiting, I think they owe us money.

On a positive note, the beef used was excellent!  But personally, I'd say head down the street to Shamrocks....way more choices.
