I should have gotten their famous Sloppy Joe, but I didn't (I hate cole slaw).  So I got a good 'ol turkey club.  Not the best, but not bad either.  I like how it was piled with lots of delicious tomatoes, but the bread could have been toasted more.  They have their own "brand" of bottled sodas -- the diet root beer tastes just like Stewart's.  The inside is kinda cool, kinda run down but clean, kinda like its completely unchanged from the 70s...or whenever.  There's about 10 barstool seats along the counter if you want to eat there, but it looks like they do a decent amount of take-out for lunch.  A lot of old timers are hanging out here during the day.  You can get scratch-off lottery tickets, cigarettes, and a few other package goods here.  Unique little spot in Madison.

All I know is that my mother has lived in Madison her whole life and she always talks about getting the best sloppy joe sandwiches here. So I decided to surprise her and pick one up last Friday after work. I will keep it sweet and short. Moms never lie.

I stopped on my way to work for a Tatlor Ham and Egg on a roll with salt and pepper. The egg was over done, I never asked for a portugese roll which was stale and tough. On top of that I think he dumped the entire pepper shaker onto the sandwich. WORSE sandwich I have ever eaten!!!!
