If this place had fantastic food to go along with the fantastic view, it would be, well, fantastic. Â Unfortunately the food is unremarkable and the saying "you go for the view, not the food" applies to this place. Â For breakfast I had the Coal Creek omelet, which comes with breakfast potatoes and a croissant. Â I recently had similar meals at the Salish Lodge and Brown Bag Cafe and both places were by far tastier than the one at Calcutta.
Review Source:We went there for mother's day.. at 60 bucks a piece fully loaded it's a bit overpriced.. The sushi was the standard conveyor belt stuff, mostly yellow tail. Â Also the fruit bar was mostly the cheap melon selection found in a mid range hotel breakfast buffet. Â The waiter staff 3 of them were relatively slow. Â they served iced tea in plastic cups, and we repeatedly had to ask for refills of coffee, tea, and sodas. Â The wait staff was also slow to bus dishes to the point where I built my own stack and hauled them to the busing station. Â we've gone there for 10 years.. I don't think my party of 15 will be back.
that being said. it's a great view and a facility. Â I had a similar experience with dinner at the grill too.
