FCK Chi-town! Â NYC has the best damn pizza you'll never be able to make! Â And being from NYC, born and raised on Pizza throughout my entire education, I can tell you, nothing made me happier or prouder than to find these long island transplants bringing to Ft. Lauderdale, what no other Pizza shop can...AUTHENTIC NYC PIZZA! Â
The only mistake Carina's makes is trying to hard  to appease to many, when they don't really have too.  Stick to the regular pie and top that with pepperoni, crispy bacon and mushrooms, bbq chicken or whatever your imagination can come up with and you won't be disappointed.  Go for any of the pies they've created and you'll be in for some major disappointment.  I don't understand health freaks who want to eat something that was never meant to be that healthy to begin with.  If you try and change the way pizza is supposed to be by ordering it on wheat rather than white dough...don't complain when your pizza taste like shit!  If you're trying to watch what you eat, then don't eat fkn pizza.  It's that simple!  Pizza is fun, tastes yum, and it's bad for you as is anything consumed in excess.  It's not that hard! Â
Now go to Carina's and get your slice on!
I went here with John F, after we were driving around for a long time looking for someplace simple to eat. I'm from Chicago, so I'm pretty serious about my pizza, and this place looked good from the outside.
I wasn't disappointed, but I wasn't all that impressed either. Â The food was good, but not great. Â We were there on a Sunday night, so it was pretty dead, but I'd definitely go back.
We had garlic bread, which was pretty decent, and a "choose-your-own" pizza. Â The pizza was good (the crust was the best part), but a bit soggy in the middle (this could be our fault though for loading it up with too many toppings).
The food was definitely good, and I'd for sure go back if I lived here. Â Great place to go grab a quick bite, or an easy dinner. Â Thumbs up.
