This place overcharges from their already overpriced menu for greasy overcooked unhealthy food.  We went there for dinner. We ordered 3 beers first. The menu price was $5 for a beer. We were charged $6 for each beer at the end. We asked the waitress when we were ready to leave and she said "our menus are not up to date". She didn't inform us of this when she took our order, when she served us or when she gave us the check!
Two of us ordered soft shell crab sliders. The waitress told us it came with tomato. No tomato and each slider had one-half tiny over-battered greasy crab. We asked to substitute for the French fries. For this there was a $2 up charge per plate. The place looks cute and has a great location but buyer beware. No repeat business from us!

We are regulars at The Village Pump, but they didn't take reservations.  Because Anglins took reservations, we decided to brave the Friday night tourist crowd and took some family members who were visiting from up north.  It was 6 pm. They were starting to get busy, but we got seated at our reserved table promptly.  They only had 2 menus available, which was not a good sign.  (we had a party of 6) Our waitress seemed to be overwhelmed, and the night was young.  We all ordered entrees only,  which arrived in various stages.  Not wanting anything to get cold, we encouraged the 2 lucky family members who had gotten their food to go ahead and eat.  By the time my salad arrived,  half of them were already finished eating. Their food was mediocre....my poor Dad ordered fish & chips and wasn't sure if he was eating fish or chicken nuggets, the fries were still frozen inside, and my son's shrimp was soggy and tasted a bit like dish soap.  We sat outside (which is lovely),  but the table was VERY dark, which made the eating even less enjoyable. I chipped my tooth on an olive pit (who knew there were olives in it....couldn't see a thing" We were told afterward that the dark tables were because of the sea turtles.  OK, forgiven.  I do love those turtles but would recommend going only for breakfast.

The bottom line. We went with a coupon we purchased through Living Social on Amazon. We showed the coupon to the server BEFORE we ordered and she said it was fine. When we got the bill the owner did not want to accept our coupon and we had to call the POLICE because he got in our face and said he would have us arrested.if we didn't pay the bill. He insisted the coupon was only good after 4:00, but the coupon said no such thing and when we showed him he said: "I don't care what the coupon says I say you can't use it" He was screaming at us at the top of his lungs. Needless to say we will NEVER go near this place again, and neither should you. The owner is rude his daughter who was the hostess is even ruder the calimari was tough, the coffe undrikable. and everything was WAY over priced. ARUBA'S across the street is such a fine place to eat. We will go there in the future.
