Go there for lunch a few times a month. One of the best salad bars! Nice bar and dinning room. Good value, friendly service. 4-5 TVs with sports on most of the time.

After traveling for NH to NJ with my boyfriend and hearing all about how great Charlie Brown's was we were very disappointed in our experience. Not only did our waiter screw up our order but he brought us a soup which he proceeded to tell us was not meant for our table and previously brought to another table and did we want it? When the offer was declined he directed himself to the table directly behind us and tried the same thing. I will give the salad bar a 4 star rating since that was the only thing enjoyable about this spot.

Food is good. Service is good. Both times I've been here with BF's family were both busy times (Easter Sunday and Mother's Day). Their salad bar is the main attraction for me, and their coconut shrimp is yummy too. Kid and family friendly.

OK so its a chain steakhouse with a salad bar... part of that gets me excited...I know the thought of salad bar and people picking their noses and then touching the stuff eck..well if you can get past this its pretty delicious for a chain.

Filet mignon 7 oz is the biggest they have right now which was fine because salad bar is so good too. With the mashed potatoes which a little on the salty side depending on who's made them I guess...and a bay breeze wow sooo good. All for 25 bucks with a 10 dollar coupon was so worth it.

Also this Charlie Browns burnt down a few years ago so its really nicely rebuilt and very modern with a very nice bar area!

This is a kid friendly restaurant and the service is always great.

    The Good:
Just not crazy about the food. I find the only good option is to get a steak here because that is pretty hard to mess up.

The salad bar is really great - lots of selections. If you go for lunch has it is even better as they.

Kids menu is OK - but the chicken tenders are pretty good. Other offerings not great. A tombstone mini pizza and Kraft Mac & Cheese.

    The Meh:
Food in general not spectacular. Recently tried Salmon. Very dry. Have had burgers in the past and been underwhelmed.

Beer selection is week. Also the taps seem off. Overly carbonated or under carbonated. A real turnoff.

Note: it is pretty busy.. for dinner expect to wait.

Always come here & was worried about changes when some of their chain closed.  The service remains exemplary.  A pet peeve of mine is having to ask for more water.  Here the glasses are replaced when they are half full.  Servers share responsiblities but it does not impede service here.  Love the extensive salad bar and the raisin bread.  Ribs are tender & tasty; preferred to Famous Dave's.  We do chain & non-chain and this compares.  Baked potatoes are prepared well.  Husband loves the coconut shrimp.

My friend and I had dinner here tonight.  I have been here a few times years ago, and the renovated restaurant is really nicely done and very spacious.  Our waiter was so friendly and attentive.  We were seated in a comfy booth near the bar.  I chose the chicken fingers, which came with delicious steak fries.  My friend had the prime rib with garlic mashed potatoes.  We both went up to the salad bar, which has tons of fresh items and is very clean and organized.  I had a glass of red sangria (it was a very large glass), and I really enjoyed it.

This is a great, easy dinner place...there's lots of choices and the salad bar is a nice addition.  Not too expensive, either.

Reply to Lisa @ Charlie Browns:

Yes I spoke to the regional manager and he did offer a free dinner.  He also said he personally weighed each lobster tail the next day and they were approximagely 4-4 1/2 ounces each .... not 6 ounces as our server stated.

I am not sure where you or your staff got the impression I enjoyed the 2 ounce lobster tails.  I ate them because I was starving.  And, if you and the server are one and the same you should check your company's policies further.  Your general manager contradicted the server's statements: 1)   they never serve 6 oz tails and, 2)   "the only thing the manager would do do adjust the dinner would be to offer a free dessert."

As I advised the regional manager, I often dine at an Ironbound restaurant where I have paid $40+ dollars for 6+ oz tails so be assured money was not the issue.  So a free dessert was not

I should have sent my dinner back and left.  This would have saved me the cost of the dinner and the undeserved 15% gratuity.

I won't be going back for a free dinner.  Your general manager had me convinced go give his establishment another change.  You convinced me not to.

Very good garlic prime rib, very good salad bar.

Went there again after the chain declared bankruptcy. It was just as good if not better!
