If you love chocolate, if you love chic, modern, and fancy-dancy, CoCo Sala is it.
I'll keep it short and simple because you can get an idea from other reviews:
- Small space, so be prepared to reserve on the weekends. A little less traffic on weeknights--great to go in for happy hour.
- Prosecco comes with soooo much chocolate
- Onyx is the best thing since chocolate itself
- Appetizers are delicious, and drinks unique
- pricy, but come here for the dinner sampling with a couple friends so you can try many things on the menu
Stopped in here to grab a few drinks during happy hour before a movie on a weeknight. We tried the Fetish (Strawberry and chocolate), the BB Julep, and CO Cojito. I LOVE the Fetish. The strawberry foam was awesome. The CO Cojito just tasted like a normal mojito but with some chocolate shards to nibble on. The BB Julep was a nice fruity twist on the original. The drinks were all $9 during Happy Hour.
I'd definitely like going back to order some food and taste out some more of their drinks (or just order more of the Fetishes).
I came here with 6 friends for drinks on a weeknight. Â We arrived at 6 and needed to leave by 7:15. Â When we arrived, 80% of the tables in both rooms were empty, but the bar was mostly full (no space for all of us to congregate together) with people enjoying happy hour. Â We asked if we could get a table. Â The hostess, rather rudely said no, no happy hour at the tables. Â We said that was fine, we'd order drinks off the regular menu. Â Then her tune changed to no, those are only for dinner. Â Hmm...I thought they were a dessert place? Â So we said ok, we don't want dinner, but how about if we order drinks and a bunch of apps/desserts? Â Still no, now she's telling us they're all reserved. Â Really?...ok. Â We promised that we'd vacate the table no later than 7:15 if they had reservations coming in, still no.
So since the bar was full, the 7 of us had to array ourselves along a small counter that was essentially in a hallway. Â There was a private party in a back room, which meant that every few minutes we had to dance out of the way of servers carrying plates or drinks back there, or partygoers coming in and out. Â Meanwhile, sea of empty tables staring back at us...
As a result, we each just ordered one drink, rather than a couple, and no food. Â When we left at 7:15, a couple of tables had been seated, but 70%+ were still vacant. Â Won't be back.
