Bar Code is clean, spacious, and clearly popular with the white collar crowd.
THE GOOD: Clean space and pretty tasty food. The spinach and artichoke dip was addicting, and I like that they had crispy pita slices for dipping.
THE BAD: This place feels a little sleazy. The music was way too loud for happy hour. I think I would have added another star if they'd just turned off the trashy colored neon florescents "highlighting" everything from the walls to behind the bar; other than that, the decor was sleek. Also, our service was notably poor. Our server was unsmiling, inattentive, and generally took forever to follow up. Maybe they were understaffed?
THE BOTTOM LINE: Nothing too horrible is going on here and the food I had was tasty; the food I saw being delivered to tablemates and others in the restaurant seemed fresh and interesting. It seems like a popular place, but I'm not sure what kind of vibe they're going for...
Ordering drinks like it was nothing until the bill came out. Lesson learned.. Drinks weren't strong enough to get me drunk but expensive enough to hurt my pockets. Music is very up beat so thats good. However, theres always too much lights. Bartenders don't seem like they want to be there. If I had to go back, I would get drunk first then go for the dancing.
