First, let me preface this by saying I'm not a huge fan of the real Connie's on Archer....but my P's got us a gift certificate......and this was the closest one. Here's the deal:
Atmosphere: was 90% empty on a Sunday at 1:30 - and the resturant (and the 1/2 empty strip mall it's a part of) looked like it hadn't been updated since 1998 (although it was clean, it was very dated). The whole place had a depressing feel, can't put my finger on it....
Service: The vibe I got at this location was that it's no longer a pizza place, It's a pizza buffet (anyone remember Shakey's?) They seemed shocked we ordered a real pizza (and wings)
Food: If you like Connie's pizza (from the trucks downtown and the place on Archer) - you'll like this place - Â tastes the same. I personally believe it's too "bready" and they do not have enough sauce....as far as the wings go......had better, but not horrible.
I'm a huge sucker for buffets. Ugh, so embarrassing!
But deal with it. I love the Connie's lunch buffet. Seven days a week, all you can eat pizza, salad, other stuff, and soft drinks for $9.50.
Okay, sometimes the pizza is not so fresh. And the salad bar ingredients are a little boring...but buffets are fun!
They also have a few hot dishes in the buffet - usually like pot roast or some kinds of pasta. There's cookies too! Oh yeah, and soup.
This particular Connie's location has a sweet log cabin-y interior. And I also believe there's a stuffed bear. So there.
