Cozza Osteria Enoteca

We bought a deal for Cozza on Living Social - so I was happy with the price of our meal. However, I was not impressed with Cozza. I had the Eggplant Parmigiana - it was tough, and the marinara wasn't anything special. My boyfriend had the Bolognese, he found it uninspiring. Our plates were chipped, and our Tiramisu was covered in Cool Whip.

My husband and I recently had a great night dining at Cozza.

The atmosphere was very simple and swanky. We were seated near the back of the restaurant near the bar area. Some of the musicians were just arriving- they have great live jazz for the weekends... and an outdoor patio area.

Our server was very attentive. Both my husband and I ordered drinks. They were blended well. Our appetizer was divine!! We had a risotto with mozzarella dish that just melted in our mouths. The portion was generous and enough to whet our appetite for dinner. The bread was made in- house and absolutely delicious. Our salad too, was great. We were able to order a salad ala carte.. and we chose to split it. The house dressing was so good!!! Perfectly mixed.

My husband had the pasta with meatballs. Again, pasta made in-house. He said the whole dish was awesome..sauce, meat- everything. I had the parmesan chicken..not what you think of when you order chicken and parmesan in the same sentence.. no icky breading and pressed chicken---This was amazing!! The portion was huge. The sauce wonderful and the breasts of chicken perfectly cooked. It had cheese melted on top with a bit of spinach [I think] tucked beneath the cheese. It was wonderful.

I was sure not to eat everything because I wanted dessert. It too, was so good!! My husband had a mega piece of  chocolate cake and I had an apple crisp type of dessert with a rum pecan sauce.. really, really good.  Again, they were generous portions.

I brought home my leftovers and had enough for lunch the next day. We had a great evening and have told everyone we know about the restaurant.

Word is spreading quickly about the divine dining going on at Cozza. They also have lunch hours and I've heard that menu is wonderful too.

They change their menu often to reflect seasonal locally available ingredients. The menu won't be boring when you have a great chef in the kitchen!!
