Vincenzo's Italian Restaurant

First of all the food was excellent but you would expect that for the price. My husband had spaghetti with lobster and shrimp, I had linguine with shrimp and crab. My husband had a coke to drink.

Son and daughter in law had rack of lamb and salmon, they each had a glass of Riesling.

We ordered at the same time and we didn't ask for separate checks and they didn't ask.  We had our meal and then the waitress asked if we wanted separate checks so we said ok. Wouldn't have mattered either way to us but since they asked us we said sure.  So then when they bring the check she says since we split the check we added the tip.

The total for my husband and myself was $92, son & daughter in laws was $109.  It kind of annoyed us just the way it was done. We are actually usually great tippers so they would have gotten more if they hadn't split the check.

The service was very good although they did act offended when my husband asked for sweet tea. We are not big eaters so maybe since we didn't get appetizers or the $12 salads they thought we were in over our heads. If you are a big eater and order appetizer, salad, entree, desert and a couple glasses of wine it would easily be well over $100 per person..

Again I have nothing bad to say about the food or service, the only thing with the service was they finish the meal table side, but not really, they were so far away from us that we didn't even realize they were fixing our food.

This is a beautiful restaurant.  It is woefully overpriced and the service was really not very good.  There weren't any check backs and there are way too many servers running around making food table side.  It's like a circus in there.  I do not want these people cooking my food on the floor.  Make me cherries jubilee or toss me a caesar but don't make me watch you overcook lamb chops that have already come out of the kitchen fully prepared.  It's ridiculous!  The food was good.  I thought the caesar was very good and I ordered the Tuna special with polenta cake and asparagus.  Very nice but they didn't really season the Tuna and it needed a sear as it was just kind of grey.  Mine came out ready and they set it in front of me and I proceeded to wait an eternity for the other 4 people of my table to have their food recooked in the middle of the restaurant.  I am really glad I didn't pay for this meal.  I would never ever go back unless someone else was buying.

I ended up going to this restaurant with my boyfriend because I had a groupon.  Although we were groupoing it, we still dressed accordingly, however, the rest of the obvious grouponers were not.  I was shocked at how casual most of the people were dressed, especially considering the pretentious atmosphere.  So first of all it was so uncomfortable at first because we were the only people there and there were a group of servers lingering nearby.  We even whispered to one another.  Although the food was good, it was not great.  I got the saltibucco and I have had real saltibucco and it is much better than what I got.  I felt like I couldn't gotten a better meal elsewhere and paid ALOT less.  
Lastly, when I went to leave I went to the rest room and they were disgusting.  Was such a stark contrast to the beautiful restaurant.  Weird.
